The Lycan slammed a clawed hand down on the girls small throat, ever ready to snap her neck in half. But an unnatural rustle of the grass was not far off. His wide eyes shifted to the side, noticing a humanoid figure. A young man? the wolf cocked his head and sniffed the air. "And a vampire at that!" he tensed and growled at the intruder.
"I've actually been wanting to give the forest a visit. Would you join me if I asked? I assume you would know a few of it's inhabitants?" Eve narrowed her eyes in a smile.
Julian skulked through the wet vegetation, pushing branches out of the way in annoyance. The rain soaked his fur, giving him a miserable appearance.

Marie tensed a bit as she heard some noises in the grass. Maybe it's a deer. A nice, little deer, She hoped silently. Her walking stick slipped out of her hand into the lake. "Oh!" She gasped aloud, covering her mouth quickly. She fumbled along the shoreline for her walking stick, making a great show of it to scare off any animals. When she found her walking stick, she pulled the sword out of its disguise, trying her best to appear intimidating. How do you like that, hmm?

As Vincent looked at this site, a young woman who was obviously blind and a werewolf, the one thing Lucius told him to avoid, his mind began to remember how much he loved Blind Fury, and how he fell asleep watching a Korean dub of Zatôichi on the Internationale Chanel. But thees random thoughts fell sharply from his mind almost as sharply as the hairy beasts claws sank slightly into his chest as he backed away. The werewolf grinned as Vincent continued to back away, the mad Lycan swatted its arms sending him flying into a nearby tree. As Vincent arose to meet the beasts gaze as it stood over him he grabbed at its right arm and bit deep, the Lycan howled and through Vincent from its arm, flesh ripping, and blood flying he landed in the brush; As he laid in the the grass the werewolves blood dripping down his throat he felt a strange feeling like nothing before, he stood up staggering, he knew he wanted more. His eyes now glowing red with lust for this man beasts very life, he ran at it jumping on to him and clutching to his matted fur. "Do you like the taste of humans, do like the taste of me?!" He stared into his eyes. The Lycan grabbed him and through him to the ground, Vincent in turn bit its left leg severing tendons the werewolf yelped slightly and wrapped its hands together and bashed Vincent with both arms and fists the pain not lost on him as he felt bones snap he summed up all his strength and climbed up quickly latching onto the werewolves back. As the beast flailed and snarled Vincent bit down hard onto the back of its neck finally ending the Lycans life. It fell in a thunderous thud slamming against the ground muzzle first. Vincent still clinging to its back he drank in deep and fell off it and onto the ground. As he laid there he felt his bones begin to mend but he still felt so tired as he drifted off to sleep.

"Only if you are confident of what you can do. I do not want to push you little Adelle, if you need mortal blood then we will find you a mortal. But yes for an animal of any size we must go out into the forest." Cooro said to her smiling. "It is your call."
Echo watched Caine, her face hardly moved in reaction to his flash of anger. She stopped behind him, looking at him with her piercing cold eyes. "Yes brother." she said softly, "We will stand together, but again it is their night. The moon is full, as you can see. They are the strongest tonight. If you enter a battle tonight then I will follow you, you know that. I will not like it, but I will follow you."
"Yes, it is beautiful, I am glad...." She dropped off, looking up into his face. She looked away suddenly bashful. She lay her head then against his shoulder. "I am glad we came here tonight." she told him, finally relaxing.
Suddenly her body became ridged. She looked around, now alert. She spotted a couple of people across the lake. "What are they doing here?" the vampire asked, her arms limply wrapped around Zack, she watched them by the water's edge. "What are they doing here I wonder?" She asked watching them. She fought for control. She wanted to feed upon them for intruding. She watched them like a restrained dog watched a deer.
She hugged Zack tighter. "Zack hold me." she whimpered, "Don't let me go after them, I beg you." She closed her eyes forcing herself to look away from them. She was trying to also hide from him the blood red color her eyes had turned.

Zack tensed at the sight of them and invoked aspect. He squeezed Mara tightly when she held onto him. "I promise you, I will not let you run after them...." Zack said, as he held her, suddenly Zack invoked the Avatar of the Dragon, and he grew several feet talle, scales grew over his skin and wings sprouted from his back. Mara would now appear quite small against Zack now large body within his arms. He held her tighter. "...And I won't let them get you!" He declared.
Arzachel thought for a moment and then nodded. "Very well then! I shall be delighted to accompany you in your stroll through the woods, though I very much doubt I will find one that I will find one of my past confidants." He informed eve. "I do know a nice spot that has not been claimed by either to my knowledge... perhaps I shall relocate there for the next few nights."

"thank you Zack." she whimpered. She hated to feel this way, she was feeling protective, scared, thirsty. The thirst was the worst of all, it burned her throat, she wanted at them. "Thank you." she said. Her mind wanted her to remain still, but her body wanted to run. She tried to break away from him. "Please, let us leave, just for a bit." She implored against her body's will.

Zack nodded. "As you wish." He said, his wings flapped and he took off into the air, his long tail kicking up some dirt as he took to the sky. He flew off, the light of the moon glistening off of his greenish scales. He found a tall building nearby where he could set her down, safe from pursuers and flew up. Zack rested Mara gently on top of roof, it was a flat, balcony room with a guardrail. Zack set himself down on the room, trying to land as gently as possible, which was quite difficult, so as not to disturb those who resided in the building. "Are you okay?" He asked her.

Mara took a moment to recover before smiling up at Zack, "I am much better." she said to him sighing as she lay on the roof top. "Thank you. Thank you so much, you saved me from something I didn't want to do." she smiled up at him. "How are you?" she asked, trying not to express the venerability she felt laying as she did. "i fear I will need to feed again tonight." She told him. "You must be hungry too though, right?"

"I am fine." Zack said, smiling. The moonlight still shining off of his scales. His stomach grumbled. "And yes... I am quite hungry." He said grinning, flashing his bright dragon teeth. "And in this form , I have a very big appetite." He added.

Mara sat up, she felt better this way. She smiled up at him. "Then should we go in search of food?" She asked him. "Would you rather be in a smaller form so we don't draw too much attention, I don't imagine Lucius would like that too much if you were caught."

Zack nodded. "That sounds reasonable." He said. He turned back to his human form for a moment, giving off a sigh, and then invoked the Avatar of the Naga, turning to his Naga form. He lowered himself to the ground. "I believe that thisssss should do well enough." He said. "Let us go find ssssomething to eat."

"Excellent!" A wave of excitement passed over Eve's face. This silly war was not for her. She may back her race if necessary, but to what end? For all she knew, the fledglings deserved punishment.
The rain above did not subside, so that when they reached the forest, nothing but damp, muddy earth lay underfoot.
"I'll try your way. I trust your methods father. Simply lead the way." Adelle said.
"I never said I wanted conflict, Echo; But you know our intrusion will not be well liked." He pushed his cane along the ground while walking. Caine stopped momentarily to examine his dress, so contradictory to the humans. "Do you imagine I look a bit archaic in this setting?" Water dripped from the brim of his hat.

"Mm," Marie announced herself loudly. "Now I know I heard someone else around here. Hello?" She patted the grass near her with her hand, but kept the sword poised for action. Hitting something soft, she quickly pulled her hand away. "Hello? Are you alive?" She asked hesitantly, unsure if she was talking to anyone or simply a soft mound of dirt.
Miles wandered around the city with Ollie, trying to look for his sister or Somni. He had been rambling for the last fifteen minutes about anything and everything that came to his mind. "And can you believe what she told me? She said 'it was full'. A big pot like that, 'full'?! The nerve of some people!" He said to Ollie, mostly to keep himself from worrying about his sister. "I think we're lost," He admitted after passing by the gas station for the third time.

Cooro nodded, grinning he took her hand in his and led her out into the forest. "I am sure we will find something very soon. Ah, here we are." Cooro slowed down. "Do you smell it on the air?" He asked Adelle. "There is a deer just before us."
Echo's hair stuck to the sides of her face. She blinked at him though the rain lashing down upon them. "Yes, I imagine we are both dressed a bit oddly for this area." she walked up toward him, placing a pale hand upon his shoulder. "I know, I am only warning you."
