Kanis looked confused at what had seemed to pass between Corrah and Armus. But she did not ask. Maybe i was like what was between her mother and father. She choose not to ask. It was not her place. She just look back up at the darkening sky then shut her eyes. She should be honored to be in Corrah's home and with Armus and his bedding but she just wanted to be back in her cave. She look a slow breath and just tired to sleep.

Corrah gazed out at the colours of the setting sun for a while, but as darkness fell, he looked back at Kanis to see if she was asleep yet. He didn't mind having her there with him at all ... he only hoped that when Armus came back to sleep and he went out to keep watch over them, that she would not wake and be afraid.
He pulled a second cloak from his bag and put it over Kanis so that she would keep warm in the cool night, then stretched out next to her, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

Kanis did not comment as she felt the robe moving over her and the blankets shift as Corrah lay near her. She just remained quiet and thinking. She did not know that Corrah and Armus were talking bout watching shift. Or she would have wondered if they did this every night. She wanted to move to cuddle against Corrah but she didn't try to move her leg or body.
She just shut her eyes and allowed her self to drift off to sleep.
Ruran had by now made it down the mountain and was busy with the fact that he had found his aunt and her doll.

When morning came, it was Armus who lay next to Kanis, and Corrah had disappeared. As the sun rose, she was already awake, and she lay there comfortably, watching Kanis as she slept. From time to time she poked at a little smokeless fire she had built, and once in a while her eyes scanned the darkness around them for Corrah, waiting for his return.
Suddenly he appeared out of the trees, hands filled with apples.
"How is she?" he asked quietly, sitting beside Armus and handing her one of them.
"Still asleep," Armus replied, equally as quietly, taking the apple and biting into it. "Poor girl ... yesterday was really hard on her."

Kanis shifted under the blanket though keeping her injured leg still she just moved her top have to turn towards Armus. Though the crisp crunch of the apple was like an alarm and she opened her eyes slowly. She yawned and looking at a larger body next to her and not a cave wall she jumped a bit.
Feeling the pain in her leg yell at her for the sudden movement she remembered and her hand moved to her leg as she looked from Armus to Corrah. "Um....good morning...sorry I forgot where I was...for a mintue."
Ruran had made it back to the previous training grounds his right shin skin and various cuts all over his face and arms. He did not have the dagger any more for it had been broken in his attack of his aunt and that cursed doll. He was so tired but he did not sleep just waited for the others to come and find him.
Rhea had moved in the middle of the night to wrap around Aras to keep her warm. He licked her cheek softly and smiled, Maybe they should go to the training ground to meet Armus there...he wondered.

Armus grinned at Kanis and leaned back against a rock.
"It's all right," she assured her softly. "It happens. Did you sleep well? I hope your leg didn't bother you too much ..."
Corrah knelt next to the two girls. "Here," he murmured, holding out an apple. "Eat up. While you're stuck here, we'll be doing some special training to work your upper body and make you stronger, since you can't do the running around and the like."
He hoped she would like that ... she didn't strike him as the type to be happy doing nothing.
Aras woke slowly to Rhea licking her cheek, and she sighed happily and kissed his chin.
"Good morning," she said softly, stroking his hair lovingly. Her teal eyes sparkled with happiness. She could think of no better way to wake up than to have Rhea wrapped around her, having him be the first thing that she saw, and having him kiss her and be close enough for her to kiss him.

Kanis took the apple but she did not eat it. She was not very hungry. She did take two bites when he told her to eat up. She nodded, "Thank you sir."
She watched him and Armus, "Yes I did sleep well...my leg is fine thank you." She looked down at her apple.
Rhea smiles, "Morning...shall we go to the training grounds and surprise Armrus?" he asked with his tail wagging as he moved to wriggle into the chew on robe. And waited for Aras to tie it for him.

Corrah smiled faintly. It seemed that Kanis was not hungry. It didn't worry him very much - she had barely eaten the day before, but with the accident and how much she had slept, he wasn't really surprised. Her appetite would return.
Armus smiled at Kanis. "Well, I'm going to go start training the others again," she said brightly. "I'll see you two later."
And with a mock salute, she bounded to her feet and disappeared into the trees.
Aras giggled and knelt to tie the robe over Rhea's shoulder once more, then reached for her own clothes and dressed hurriedly.
"Yes," she replied, her eyes sparkling brightly with mischief. "She'll never expect us to be there! Maybe we can even beat her there!"

Kanis nods and smiles, "Tell them I say hi." She waves to Aras as she runs off, "Have fun!" She looked back at the apple and forced herself to eat it all. Then just set the core aside. "I am ready to start when you are sir..." she said softly.
She blushed softly, "But first...um...I have to go to the bathroom." she said softly.
Rhea had to fight himself to keep from hindering Aras' dressing. But once she was ready he moved towards the cliff. "Be careful...Arrras....Kanis is not hear to help this time." he did not want her hurt and taken from him either.

Corrah smiled. "Let me carry you to the woods," he murmured, "and you can have some privacy."
He knelt next to her and moved to take her in his arms, but he paused before he did so.
"That is ... if that is all right with you," he added, a flicker of worry crossing his face. After all, not everyone liked to be carried ...
Aras nodded and put one hand on Rhea's head as she walked alongside him.
"I'll be careful," she promised. "You just make sure you're careful, too. I don't want anything to happen to you."

Kanis slid her hands up his arms and shook her head, "I don't mind sir...I don't think I should try walking just yet." her voice was soft and trusting. She smiled up at him sweetly. "I know you carried me yesterday but...I hope I am not heavier sir."
Rhea licked Aras' wrist and then moved to start his desent. "Yes I will try..." he giggled and smiles, "I can claw if I start falling." he said moving down the wall slowly

Corrah smiled and picked Kanis up carefully, doing his best not to hurt her.
"You are not heavy at all," he told her honestly as he began to carry her towards the trees. "And I wager that by the end of the week, you will be moving around on your own with a crutch. I will make one for you today, if you like."
Aras watched Rhea anxiously, waiting until he had reached the ledge before turning around and beginning her own descent. She felt for hand and footholds and made sure they were going to hold her before she continued on.

Kanis smiled warmly and nods, "Thank you sir. I would love to have a crutch. Then I can work on getting strong for you." She leaned her head against his chest. And did her business when he left her alone then she called for him to help her back.
Rhea made it to the bottom safely and he held his arms open, "Come on Arrras...you can jump and I will catch you if you like." he said gently.

Once Kanis was finished, Corrah brought her back to the little clearing.
"Are you hungry yet?" he asked her. "If not we can work on a bit of upper body training for you, if you would like ..."
Aras frowned at Rhea. "But what if I crush you?" she asked him, looking down at him over the edge of the ledge. "I don't want to hurt you ..."
She bit her lip anxiously, then turned around and lowered herself over the edge of the ledge. "I'll climb a bit, and jump at the bottom, okay?" she called to him over her shoulder. "That way I won't land on you."

Kanis sat where Corrah placed her. "What ever you want sir is fine by me." She said. She was already enough of a burden she would not become more of one.
Rhea laughed, "I am strong....I would not get crushed." he smiled and watched her, "Just be careful!" He called up to her. He really didn't want Aras taken away from him. And if she got hurt and was with Corrah they could not do their nightly training.
