[dude you guys, your stats pretty much pwn Kane's gonk ]

Kane returned Kiba's grin naturally, before his smile faltered again in reflection of Kiba's expression. "I see..." he said, nodding thoughtfully before it hit him just what the hell was going on. "Wait! Who is this kid?" he demanded. He was squad leader! He couldn't have his team goofing off. "Are you one of the new genin?" he asked Sorri. "Where the heck is your leader- Ufgh," he ended feebly in a way that was decidedly unauthoritative, hand flying towards his forehead. His brain still hurt from that clash with Sukotto's alter ego, if you could call that thing that. Every time Kane relaxed he felt like he could hear echoes of that voice reverberating around his head, and every time that voice spoke his head started throbbing like no tomorrow.

As he waited for a reply, Kane couldn't help thinking about Sukotto's new best friend yet again. Was this what that thing had meant when it said that it would take revenge? It was already taking enough revenge thank you very much! Kane wanted to scream or just do SOMETHING to get rid of its persistent mutterings. Maybe he just placed too much importance on it, and so couldn't forget it or something. It really was quite hard to do things and concentrate when your head was hurting, he thought offhandedly. If he could do that to someone in battle it would really be a good tactic.

Sorri had a set mindset for takng Tanu down and he would finalize it with a grab attack, but that fialproof plan had been interuppted the speedy sword swings of Kiba, with his hands already streched out to grab his first opponent he blocked the first strike with both of his hand. the sting was strong, he would diffently be feelign that all day. Sorri quickly pulled up his chakra and went into the handself for his jutsu only to break it when Kiba swung agian. he pushed his arms into an x defense just in time to keep from getting whacked in the face. He's crazy fast with that thing....just think about what would have happened if it wasn't a katana is scary. Sorri looked at a Kiba with a smirked smile, he came to back his squad member up and then stop paying attention when his squad leader showed up.

As Tanu was standing and talking with Kiba, completely disregarding Sorri now that something more interesting was going on, the Ibazi launched another attack at her. "H-hey!" Tanu shouted, bringing up her arms to block the flying kick going towards her face. With his attack only scuffing her arms, she had successfully avoided another hit to the cheek. But then, her daft blond so-called instructor began babbling about something after asking where Shin was. "A lett- Gah!" Tanu shouted as Sorri brought her to the ground. Just as she hit the ground and before she could push him off her, the Ibazi was gone in a flash of Kawamiri as Kiba took out his wooden sword. Getting up off the sand, Tanu brushed herself off.

"Ya stupid Ibazi! My squad's here now," the Kun 'Kumo barked bringing up a fist to pound the stupid boy who continued their fight even though Tanu's instructor was there! Completely disregarding Kane's entrance, Tanu stormed after the Ibazi as he came out of his Kawamiri with her fist raised. She would pound him twice before he moved again! Since the white haired teen was constantly trying to kick her in the face, she'd return the favor with her knuckles. Tanu launched one fist directly at his nose and a second straight to the side of his jaw. Normally, Tanu would try to hold some respect for her new instructor and introduce herself, but this kid was trying her nerves! And once Tanu's blood was pumping, her reason and manners were lost in the whirlwind of her rage.

While Hanabira walked along the shoreline, she carefully examined the bow she had received. Since no one else was around on this side of the shoreline, she practiced holding her bow and arrow with a stronger form. Her releases of the arrows earlier were horrid. They barely flew off the bow and into the air. Not a single one had made it to their target. Hanabira thought that perhaps it wasn't her technique, but the arrows themselves. Taking out the sticks she had carved carefully to look like plain arrows, Hanabira thought that perhaps she should keep an eye out for some feathers around the village. She didn't know much about the birds of Shimagakure, but it was a good thing to look into at the library the next time she got a chance. Since she didn't have a unified genin squad, Hanabira did have the time to do as she pleased today. She was a graduate of the Academy, so she didn't have to attend the classes there.

As the docks came into view, Hanabira stopped fiddling with the bow and arrows and picked up the pace. She saw a group out in the sand away from the ships. There was dust from sand being kicked up into the air as a tussle went about between three younger people... Red hair... White hair... Blond hair... Kane! Hanabira smiled as she saw Kane-nii along with Kiba, Tanu and Sorri. There was no Shin to be seen with Kiba and Tanu though... Ever since the three had decided on becoming a squad, Hanabira hadn't seen the three apart. "Kane-nii!" Hanabira said with a smile on her face as a little excitement rose her voice up above the sounds of the docks to hopefully grab her elder sibling's attention. "I'm so very glad you're home safe," Hanabira said with a deep bow towards the tall blond. "How did you do?" the freckle faced girl asked with high hopes as she awaited to hear Kane say that he was now a chunin.

Was Tanu shouting again? He looked to his side and read her movements, her rage could be such a give away, she was already a bit to slow to hit Sorri, he proved as much earlier, but now that she had let her emotions really rile her up Sorri already knew the exact acting she was gonna take. Was he the same way when he got overly angry with his opponent? Sorri leaned back and popped away her hand when she targeted his nose and jumped into his kawamiri no jutsu at the second attack, while looking over at the two attacker's new leader for a moment. Tanu, with her fist flying would only punch right trough a sand pillar, the Ibazi genin had hid in order for his next attack.

Ignored again! Kane was more than a little ticked off now and he made that known, although that in itself was just the decision to do something. Kane could never be as fiery as his team was shaping up to be. He figured that he should stop the fight, since he was their superior and all, so maybe that would be a good idea. Although Kane secretly found the whole thing rather amusing and would rather have seen it go on.

"Guys," he began in his most authoritative voice. "Stop it. It's not cool to gang up, and it's not like it proves your strength or anything. We all have business to do, let's just do it. You," he said to Sorri. "Don't you have other things to do? Like meet up with your team leader?"

While he was being all leader and party pooper, the cogs in Kane's brain were still turning, trying to make sense of his revelation just now. It would be a good idea to create a jutsu that disrupted brain activity. How would that work? But he was distracted again from his musings by a very familiar voice. Kane's head immediately whipped towards the source of the sound, paying less attention to the fight. "Hana-chan!" Kane said delightedly as he spied the approaching figure of his sister, and once she got close enough he took her into a hug. Well, let it be known that Kane didn't skimp on showing affection. Even if Hana was always so polite and reserved...

"I did good, Hana," he said with a smile. In front of his sister, he couldn't resist a little bit of macho posturing, but just a little bit. The excitement and enthusiasm in his eyes was plain for Hanabira to see as he looked at her. "I got promoted," he said happily. "We all did, actually. It was a good tournament for us." Not about to mention the darker things that happened now, not when he was still so distracted by them, and only wanted to focus on the happy things in life... "What about you?" he asked her. "Did you make genin?"

The tall dusty haired boy with dried eyes approached the shoreline with a large pack on his back. It would be clear with the blanket and roll on the pack that Shin was going somewhere. He had wanted to leave the village without a word to anyone and only the note he left behind for Kolo as his good-bye, but he could see his squad from here; Kiba, Tanu and their leader Kane. They would've made a great squad. A perfect balanced trio with a relaxed leader. Shin knew that they would've had great times training together. He knew it would've been rude to try and sneak past everyone, so he decided to approach the group. "Hey, guys," Shin said after Kane had managed to calm down the commotion. "Uh... I don't really know how to say this," he said with a crooked smile as he scratched the back of his head. "But, I uh..." the boy said as his chocolate brown eyes tilted down to the white sand. "I gotta leave Shimagakure. Ya see... My mother died and well... The Caravan my family runs really needs me," Shin admitted, saying it awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck while not being able to really look at anyone.

Finally he looked up and smiled with squinty. "Hana-chan... You should take my place in the squad... I mean... Tanu and Kiba could really use someone like you," the boy suggested to the short haired girl, not really sure how to say good bye to someone that made butterflies in his stomach. "And hey, if you guys ever get a mission near the earth country, come and visit me," Shin added in, so that his friends would know this wasn't good bye. Walking past the group, Shin headed up to the dock. "I wish I had more time to say good bye to everyone," he whispered to himself as he stepped on one of the fisherman's boats. Looking at Kane, Shin smiled with open eyes and waved to his instructor, knowing that the chunin would take good care of his friends... Shin was kind of glad he got to see his closest friends on the island before he left. Tanu, Kiba and Hanabira meant so much to him. He would make sure to return someday and see them again. Hopefully, they would all see each other again soon.

The fact that she missed the blasted Ibazi made Tanu's face pump red. Kane's voice cut through her actions and made her stop from looking around frantically to try and pummel that Ibazi again. Crossing her arms over her chest, Tanu grunted as Kane asked the white haired boy if he had something better to do. As Hanabira and Kane spoke with one another, Tanu rolled her eyes away to see Shin approaching them. "FINALLY!" the red haired girl shouted as the Nara came up to the group. She could immediately tell that something was wrong. "What's going on?" she asked after Shin greeted them. Then the boy began to stutter and stall. "Spit it out," Tanu said with an aggravated tone as the Nara finally said what needed to be said. The Kun 'Kumo listened in disbelief at what Shin said. "You're leaving?" Tanu asked in shock as her arms dropped from her chest to her sides as Shin started to walk away. "Like I'd visit you!" Tanu shouted at the tall boy as he got on his boat. "BAKA!" Tanu shouted as Shin turned and waved, Tanu turned her back to the first person she called friend on the island. Folding her arms over her chest once again, she closed her eyes and tried not to cry as Shin began to sail away.

Hanabira smiled shined past her lips to show those bright white teeth underneath when she heard Kane say that he got promoted. Clapping her hands together once and bringing them to her chin and lips, Hanabira continued her smile. Kane-nii had been pretty nervous about the tournament since he wasn't nearly as powerful as Sukotto or Aya, but Hanabira was so happy that he had passed. The adopted Yamanaka was even more grateful to hear that everyone in the tournament passed. "Congratulations," Hanabira said with that smile parting her lips. It dampened a little when Kane asked about her graduation. "Mm," Hanabira said with a nod as her hands dropped form her chin. "Tenmoki-sensei passed me, but..." she trailed off as she decided to how to explain the fact that she did not have a complete squad. Before she could continue, Shinobu's voice chimed through the air to grab her attention.

The light brown haired girl remained silent as Shin approached the group with an awkward disposition. He had a hard time looking at anyone while he explained what was going on. Hanabira had a saddened look on her face as she watched Shin go up to the docks. Did this mean...? Reaching up to her neck, Hanabira grabbed hold of the hemp necklace that Shin had made her last year. Both hands traced along the intricate knots as she watched the young man turn and wave to them. She tried to open her mouth to shout a good bye, but the best she could do was raise a hand to wave back at the tall teen. It seemed that Tanu was saddened by the Nara's sudden leave as well since she yelled out and turned her back. Hanabira had studied people and she knew that Tanu was trying not to cry. At this fact, Hanabira mustered up her voice. "We'll visit you soon!" she managed to yell out, hoping that Shin would be able to hear her fragile voice over the sounds of waves and fishermen.

As Shin disappeared form sight, Hanabira thought about what he had said. Should she take his place in this squad? The freckle face girl turned to Kiba and Tanu with her olive eyes. They both were physically strong... Hanabira knew that Tanu wasn't the brightest and that Kiba often got sucked into Tanu's idiocy when she challenged him. It was part of their rivalry. Turning back to Kane, Hanabira looked up at him through her glasses and softly smiled. "Kane-nii... I haven't become an official Genin, because I don't have a full squad... May I take Shin's place?" Hanabira asked her adopted brother and then turned to Kiba and Tanu. "I would love to work with both of you," she said sweetly with a small bow of her head. Hanabira didn't want to be under her brother's command, because she thought that he would go soft on her, but she realized that Karite and Orika were far behind her in skill and she hated to think it, but those two would hold her back...
