DTT you could do daemon type companions...like Philip Pullman stuff.
*does the Welcome Dance for Lady Sappho* As an archaeology major, I might be interested in a Greek type rp. *nods*

Well, that was kind of what I was thinking. Have them connected like that, and have sort of a battle system where the animal becomes the armour/weapon/whatever kind of bit. My mum does archaeology stuff >>; Right now she does surveys for a power company when they want to put new poles in for power lines. She used to work at a lab cleaning artifacts and stuff, but that was before we moved... *wonders if she'd mentioned that before and thinks she did*

They never really wanted to though... I'd either try to be Nike (but everyone would go 'ur a shu!') or Iris.

Hehehe. Me too Panpear! My best friend and I played Artemis and Athena regularly. And it's funny cause now I'm going to Bryn Mawr College which has Athena as their patron goddess/saint thing. We have a statue that people leave offerings to her and everything. It's a little weird but kinda cool.
@DTT: I'm in for that type of rp that'd be really awesome!
I'm not sure what I'm gonna be doing with archaeology eventually...

I'll have to think up a basic rule system for the 'battle daemons'
And figure out something to call them. Daemons is already used for the golden compass books, and familiar doesn't sound quite right...
If I had to pick goddesses and gods as a 'religion' for any particular reason, I'd pick the ancient Greek gods and goddesses. I've always enjoyed Greek mythology and stuff...

Sounds a lot like zanpaktou . . . spiritual animal/beings that became weapons. Not a bad thing, just saying.

Yeah, but Zans are swords that have spiritual beings inside that help the weapon and wielder become stronger.

Hehe, I dunno. Still trying to develop the idea. I don't want it to be too much like anything, though... but there's so many things out there, that it would eventually lean towards things.
