*Akito felt increasingly guilty as time went one. He enjoyed being with Clever, and feeling her next to him...but he had a hard time with it. He ran his fingers through her hair, not really knowing why.*
Oh...You look for strange things then, heh...
*He paused, should he bring up the many things wrong with this? He sighed softly. These things were never easy, he assumed.*
((Getting a bit sleepy.))

((Yeah my cat has been yelling at me to go to bed. Alright time to wrap up I guess.))
*Clever kissed him again before pulling away, but kept her hands on his sides.*
"Maybe it's time for bed.."
*Honestly she didn't want leave him and face everything.*

((Aw, heh. Tired cat, poor thing.))
*Akito nodded at what she said. He wasn't sure how much more of this he could handle without feeling terrible about Hikaru. He hugged her tightly.*
You go on ahead...I want to stay out here just a minute...
*He smiled and kissed her forehead.*

"Night, Akito..."
*Clever hugged and kissed him one last time then headed into the tavern, leaving her shoes at the bottom of the stairs, changed and laid down. She stared at the ceiling feeling almost too giddy to sleep, but then the dread settled in.*
((alright im out night *wave*))

*Akito sighed once Clever was gone. He sank to the ground and laid there. Staring at the sky. He wanted to be with Clever, he thought. But, what about his mission? And what about Hikaru? Did he want to be with Hikaru? That was impossible anyway...But Hikaru wanted to be with Clever. This was so confusing. He couldn't sleep in the tavern, it was too much for him tonight. He just laid there on the ground a little ways away from the water. He stared at the sky for what seemed like hours, unaware of how long it really was. He felt his eyes growing heavy and his breathing slowing. In time he was sleeping under the open air of night, dreaming of what might come to pass in the future. There were dreams of dark things.*
((Night! *waves))

Akito There were dreams of dark things. (( Now that is a messed up way to end RP! *Cries* I suppose I can't stop the rising tide. )) Ben's weekend with Synge had been so marvelous that coming back to the tavern seemed almost mundane but he knew it had to happen. It seemed odd to him when Synge explained that she wanted to stay out in the tavern a little longer but he didn't let it bother him. He changed into his night clothes and went to sleep, he didn't budge when Synge joined him much later that night.
The next morning, he woke up to see Synge still sleeping. He paused a minute and looked at her eye. The hole didn't look like it had healed at all. Had all of his work been for nothing? As he looked at it, he couldn't help but get an eerie feeling about it. In his own heart, Ben got a strange sense of foreboding, perhaps things weren't as simple as he had thought with Synge. At least he knew that Aykon's seal was still on them and he could take some respite in this.
Shaking off these horrible thoughts, Ben kissed Synge's lips softly and then made his way into the shower. He took a long shower and thought about all the fun he had with Synge this weekend and what kind of fun they could have now that she wasn't afraid to fly with him. Once his shower was over, he pulled on his favorite outfit and cleaned up. Taking a quick look over himself, he headed out to the tavern.
He was surprised that Clever hadn't snuck out to clean the place during the night but it gave him something to do as his role besides running the place. which really wasn't a role at all. He cleaned up the main tavern area as best as he could by washing the dishes, dusting, mopping and sweeping among other things. Once he had finished this, he felt his stomach growl so he started to prepare some pancakes but he made only enough mix for himself this time considering no one ever seemed to come in until the evening.
As he ate his pancakes, he started to feel more and more disconnected from the place. It seemed like the very place he had been chosen to run was working against him. He also realized how down he had been lately and tried to shake it. Unless Synge was around though, he felt rather lonely.

The boat came to a halt at the edge of the boathouse and the man stepped out on to the dock. He looked over his map and nodded, this was the place to be. He steadied his boat and tied it down to the dock. He then looked over to see his brother's yacht and sighed, he always did get all the breaks.
Not wanting to think too much about this, the man made his way into the tavern. His face was calm but focused as he looked around and saw his brother. He made his way to the chair and sat down.
Hey Benji!

As Ben sat in his chair and ate his food, he thought about various things and was collecting thoughts. As he did so, he heard the door open. He was about to say a greeting when he saw the man that approached him. What the hell was Jeff doing here? How did he even know? He inhaled sharply and then his face crinkled as he heard the name he was called.
Oh for God's Sakes! Don't call me Benji...JEFFY!
He said this name loudly and razzed the man who sat down next to him.
What the hell are you doing here?

Jeff laughed at his brother's exploits but then his face turned dark and foreboding.
NEVER call me that again...EVER. If you do, I'll pound your face in like I used to!
The man finally let his face change into a laughing face as he kicked his feet up on the chair next to him and lit a smoke. Blowing it out, he turns to face his brother.
Come on man! Is that any way to treat your big brother? I haven't seen you in a few years and then you say things like that! How about "how ya doin' bro?" or "It's great to see you?" ever think of saying something like that? Geez....
He inhaled a drag off his smoke and blew it out as he was thinking of his next statement.

You can't beat me! You lie! Whatever man!
Ben took some more bites out of his pancakes as his brother talks. Truth is, he was glad to see him but he didn't really know what to say to him and he hoped his father hadn't sent him with some sort of message. He knew that Jeff just showing up meant that SOMEONE was meddling in his affairs even though he wasn't sure if it was his dad or his brother.
Well...I would say stuff like that but when your big brother just abandons you and starts his rock band and goes touring with groupies and getting in bar fights....I don't know what to say. Besides, I know some of what the newspapers have been saying about the "Playboy Prince of CinderBl0k" has been doing. I don't have to ask.
Truth is, Ben had watched the news and felt almost bad as he knew they weren't portraying his brother with good intentions.

Jeff was laughing as he smoked and caused himself to cough rather loudly for a minute. He managed to catch his breath and settle back in. As Ben talked his face grimaced.
Dude! That's media BULLSHIT and you know it! I don't just go bang whoever...I got standards man! Besides, that news chick was too hot to pass up. I mean...she barely had any skirt at all and those heels...damn man! Can't punish me for that! If you believe that s**t...you are not a good brother...

It was almost funny to think of for Ben that his brother had an image of being this tough guy who didn't care but he worried so much about his younger brother's opinion. He shook his head and finished off his pancakes.
I know man...don't worry about it. So...why are you really here? And...HOW did you know where I was?

As Ben's attitude changed, Jeff started feeling more at ease. He finished his smoke and put it out in the nearby ashtray and he heard the question he was waiting for Ben to ask. Adjusting himself in the seat, he turned to face Ben.
How I got here is easy. Morty told me about where the place was after you and your girly girl went out to see him. He helped me figure out what air park you were at, I looked for the nearest boathouse as I figured that's where you'd be. So, here I am.
He smiled as he thought about the amount of effort he had exerted and hoped that his brother would see it that way. Even as he thought about it, the way he figured things out seemed unbecoming of his appearance.
As for why...well....Dad wanted me to check on you.

Ben laughed and lit a cigarette of his own almost as soon as his brother had put his out.
You know bro...for as much as you act like some stupid rocker dude...you are one smart b*****d. Did Morty talk about Synge at all?
He felt it coming on again, he was striving to get the approval of his brother for his choices even though he was his own person now. When he heard why Jeff was here, his face fell a little. Of course, dad couldn't trust him alone.
And if Dad sent you...I have a bad taste in my mouth already...

As he heard Ben compliment him he laughed out loud. He thought back to what Mort had said about the girl his brother had chosen.
Yup, he said you showed up with some really cute girl on your arm but something about an eye patch...heh...she have some kind of deformity? Is that why a cute girl would give you the time of day?
He noticed Ben's sudden change in character and he actually felt a little guilty. After all, he never understood why his father so so obsessed with Ben's success but he had other reasons. He smirked a little at the thoughts he had.
Ben...don't get yourself all worked up, Dad's just worried about you...what with you being sick and all.
