((Sorry, been kinda busy.))
Jacob dove out of the way of gunfire and rolled to a stand.
I need to get moving. he thought. Seeing no reason to stay and fight the vampire, Jacob began to strafe towards the stairs and made to head up them.

The vampire closed his eyes for a moment. His ears twitched and he began to approach the stairwell, unloading in the general direction of Jacob.

Maybe he hears me... Jacob thought as he jump to the stairwell in an attempt to evade the gunfire. Once he was behind what he deemed decent cover, or at least out of the way, Jacob slowed his breathing and tried to be quiet as possible.

Samuel shrugged. "That'll do for now. I suppose Takeshi got his relationship for a good reason, so we'll leave it at that."
Recalling the explosion he had heard earlier, Samuel looked over everyone in the group, his eyes scrutinizing. Finally giving up on finding someone who was obviously in charge, he simply spoke to the group at large. "Earlier Raphael here was asking me about combat capability, and while I was bathing, I heard an explosion occurring somewhere in this building, so I'd appreciate a briefing on what is going on right now, and, more importantly, what kind of enemies we'll be fighting."
Scratching his chin for a moment, Samuel looked up again, an amused grin on his face. "Perhaps I could also find out who is considered to be in charge in this immediate grouping? It would be useful just to avoid confusion."
((Yeah, Starcraft is a good one too. I kinda got bored with it at some point. I needed something that supported large-scale stuff a little better. War3 is still on the list of vaguely playables, but honestly, RTS-wise, I'm kinda dead at the moment. SupCom has problems beyond problems. I mean, the low-level AI's are pussies, and the high level AI's cause ungodly amounts of lag. Crazy s**t. Awesome graphics though. I like the OS of SupCom a lot more than that of most other RTSs I've played, though. THe races may not be as unique as they could be, but the roles that the game covers that others don't are a lot of what I like about the game.))
((The assault team had just broken into the base. How is that a good time for a time skip? Ten minutes is a long time. Add debriefing time, and you add an extra ten minutes or so... I honestly thought you had gone bonkers when you synched my timeline with theirs when I was in the bath. I mean, you could have put the explosion somewhere in the debriefing area. Honestly... If it had something to do with my post format... well, razz . I didn't feel like doing more at that point.))

"Sounds likely," Joe murmured. "Do I need...a transfusion? How would that help?"

"If we replaced the blood, we might purge the REF," Paul thought slowly. "And, you're bleeding. Don't forget that."
Apparently there were absolutely no features in this room, including floors, walls, or doors. Or opposition. Or anything real.

Linda stared at Paul. "Replace all of it?" she asked skeptically. "I was referring more to the blood loss from his gaping wounds."
(There is a floor, two walls, and a ceiling. No doors. That would mean the walls Sebastian made weren't totally sealed.))
--
"That would be me," Raphael and Gertrude said in unison.
"You're not fooling anyone," Takeshi informed Gertrude, a fatigued note in his voice.
"We have Warlock Hunters and Tyrgani Shadowmen running around upstairs, as well as a few Ghosters," Jennifer informed them. "Legion can sense other things in the area nearby, but he can't tell what because of the barriers. We have squads moving in on them, though."

((YERMOM is fun with friends.))
"That would...be useless...unless we seal the wounds," Joe said. "Rough binding...like this will barely do anything." He thought for a moment. "Although I like...Paul's idea. I want this stuff out of me!" His face twisted for a moment, in either pain or anger.

"I think, Linda, that if we could in fact purge his entire system, not only might we get rid of any grody diseases he happens to have, but the REF liquid could be eliminated from his body, and we could keep him high on blood. Once the REF was gone, we could heal him magically and the ordeal would be over." Paul's explanation was short and quick. "Or we could just replace the gaping wound blood too. That works."
"And Joe, we don't need to seal the wounds, strictly speaking - that would make it go faster, since you're bleeding out diseased blood. As long as we can ensure the blood passes through the lungs first..."

Joe weakly raised a middle finger. "Disease? ******** shook his head slowly towards the end. "No...I'm pretty sure...it's spread everywhere. To get it out, we'd need...a full flush." He chuckled. "And if we do get the...REF out...I won't need any help...with healing." He grinned slightly. It was pretty grisly, what with the blood and all.

"Precisely. We can still use magic to do whatever we need to for the surgical processes. With magic it shouldn't even take us that long."

Agnese blinked. It seemed like just yesterday she was coloring on the bloodhounds face with her sharpies. Now she felt like she missed and saw everything all at once. It was slightly disconcerting.
She wondered if she should help, but thus far none had spoken to her.

"Everyone ready to head up?" Raphael asked. "They've barricaded themselves in a section of a corridor," he explained.

((No, I am never ready to do a battle sequence in action-by-action style. My casual roleplay post style would make that take forever. So if we want to get it done with any kind of speed without leaving me out, Venom has to use my repertoire generously, instead of, how would you say it... frugally. Anyways, if running a few responses while I'm not paying attention is out of the question, then be prepared for a long and tedious battle. Just a warning. Unless, of course, you manage to find somewhere to poke me in real time, which is quite difficult.))
Samuel nodded. "I'm as ready as could be expected. Hopefully subduing them will take less effort than recovering from long falls." He made a thin-lipped grimace. "Of course, that wouldn't be too hard." Nodding to Raphael, he asked, "Which way do we go?"
((Indeed, Starcraft is fun with friends. However, I do not have many friends that live in my immediate vicinity, thus, I must cope with the awesomeness of newer, grander-scale games to satisfy my desires to rule all and destroy things temporarily. Unfortunate, that.))

"Up," Raphael replied, leading them to an elevator.
((Yeah, I can cover Samuel when needed.))
