Magnolia grinned coming up with her. I called ahead, "We've got fifteen minutes, that gives us enough time to buy some cheap snacks and get the tickets, it's been out for awhile so I don't think it'll be sold out." Still holding her hand, she tugged Tara after me, "There's a 7-Eleven around the corner, I'm totally craving powdered doughnuts right now.
She didn't let Tara go until they'd entered the small convenience store and the little buzzer wnet off, letting the employee know he had customers in the store. Magnolia made a beeline for the Hostess rack and grabbed on 6-pack of mini powdered doughnuts then went for the cooler and grabbed an Arizona plum iced tea.

[lol]
Tara looked around before giving up on the snacks. She really didn't feel hungry, but she did by a small package of tissue paper to dry her eyes. She would have to find out who this Magnolia was sometime soon. Only then could she thank her for this kindness.

Magnolia paid for everything, she'd snagged some Nerds and skittles as well. She handed Tara her tissues, grabbed her free hand with hers and then they were off again down the street around the corner and in front of the theater. She paid for the tickets and they went in. They were early but the theater was playing a roll of old Looney Tunes to amuse early arrivals.
"I remember my mother saying they used to do this in the really old days. I'm surprised they're doing it again." She commented as Elmer Fudd told them to "Vewy quwiet."

Tara looked at the movies curious now. It had been far too long since she watched a movie of any kind. The last one she had seen was a silent movie and it was all the rage at that time, so it was obvious how shocked she was when the figures were talking.
"Amazing..." she whispered.

Magnolia glanced at her then did a double take. She tapped in and stared in amazement, "Don't tell me you've never seen Looney Tunes!?" Magnolia sighed, "I should have asked." She then went on to explain the characters, there were only two of them in this episode, the next one was with Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian. Then the movie started. She was quiet during the previews, letting Tara be blown away.

Tara was stunned, eyes wide as she watched everything, barely able to take it in even with her vampiric senses. She was rather annoyed at how they stopped the previews, thinking that she were all very short movies in her mind before she realised they were just teasers. She was silent throughout the whole endeavor, the images getting to her more than she knew.

Magnolia was just as enthralled, for different reasons, of course. At the end, Magnolia was blown away, "He's still alive? I can't believe it! That guy there he died in the first movie!" She explained excitedly to Tara. She then remembered that this was probably the first modern movie she'd ever seen. She hadn't realized that Tara was that old!

Tara looked at the lightening theater in a daze, nodding slightly to Magnolia's explanations. But she kept her calm demeanor even though she wanted to kick herself for not being able to see the first one before this, "It was amazing..." she said, looking at Magnolia, "I must see these movies again!"

Magnolia laughed, "Don't go overboard, let's see if I can rent the first one then we can see it back at the Club, Merlin's got a TV in her room, she barely uses the thing, she said. Said she got it for looks." Magnolia tugged Tara along, she was hyped up on sugar and excitement. Turned out that Blockbuster had one left for renting. Magnolia snatched it off the shelf and headed for the cash register.

Tara had learned quickly that it was quite useless in moving anywhere on her own when Magnolia was this excited and merely followed as much as she could.

The man bagged the DVD and they were off again. They reached the Nocturne in four minutes flat, waded through the music and people nad clambered up the steps, flew down teh hallway and knocked gently on Merlin's door.
"Come."
Magnolia burst into the room, "Can we use the TV?" Magnolia asked excitedly.
Merlin blinked at her, "You've been eating too much sugar." Merlin chided gently.
Magnolia grinned, "Yup, can we? Tara has to see the first one!"
Merlin made a gesture towards the door.
Magnolia took that as a green light and motored forward opened the door and only let go of Tara to set up the movie.

Tara looked at Merlin a little pleadingly before she was pulled inside with Magnolia. She didn't mean she had to watch it immediately, but Magnolia had taken her thoughts serioiusly...far too seriously.

Merlin thought it was funny. As the movie was starting, Merlin came in and found a seat. She hadn't seen this movie, either and if anyone needed her, she'd know in a heartbeat.
Halfway through the movie, Magnolia's sugar high wavered and she crashed, falling asleep.

Tara looked at the movie, taken into it before the credits finally appeared, "The second movie makes alot more sense now..." she said before turning to Merlin, "How's Jack?"

Merlin sighed, tucking Magnolia in, "He's rebuilding himself, he will be fine by tomorrow, hungry, but fine. It is interesting, most weres don't bother to train their minds like he has." She watched as Magnolia stirred from slumber then settled again, sighing, "I'm glad you two get along, I might not always be around to help."
