*Akito assumed that meant that Clever had decided on Hikaru. It seemed the obvious choice in Akito's mind. He never really thought about being with Clever with Hikaru in the picture. Who could win someone against Hikaru? He smiled softly, although he was a little saddened that Clever liked HIkaru more. He was just glad that she seemed to figure things out.*
I'm glad. Being confused is hard. I'm sure you'll be happy.
*He found his star finally, the small one among the big ones. Barely shining bright enough to be seen among the others. His heart felt a bit strange as he pictured Clever and Hikaru together. Was he upset? If so, was it to see Hikaru with someone...or Clever with someone? He shook his head, trying to think of other things.*

*Clever could hear some sadness in his voice, did he not realize she chose him? Or did he not like that she liked him? She rolled onto her side and looked at Akito.*

*Synge waved to Zac as she left. It was clear she was a bit annoyed, but Synge really wasn't caring enough to worry about it right now. She didn't even know the girl, but she knew Keira, and she cared about her. She smiled at her comment about Ben and her being absent. She even blushed a little.*
Well...heh...Next time you see him, you should ask. He might be able to help!

*Akito heard Clever rolling on her side. Was she facing him? He glanced and saw that she was. He felt nervous and he blushed. He was going to say something when he heard her words. His eyes widened and he stopped breathing for what felt like years. He glanced at her and laughed nervously.*
Heh, me? N-no, that's impossible. I mean...I mean, I think I like you...but, you want Hikaru. Everyone wants Hikaru! I might even want Hikaru!
*He stopped speaking abruptly. He shouldn't have said that. He blushed and looked away. He did like Clever, but what about Hikaru? What about how he would feel? And what if he did like Hikaru?*

Yes, a lot! I don't even really know who that girl Zac is. I've only see her twice now...and with Akito here...geez, that is just...Then there is Clever, who I barely know.
*She laughed again and sat at the bar.*
It is like I know nobody! But, it is nice to see you again. I missed talking to you. You're the only girl I know, heh.

*Clever looked to the ground, she didn't expect him to say that he might want Hikaru. Suddenly she found herself unsure.*
"I don't want 'ikaru.. like that..I.. want.. you"
*With a blush she stood up and walked down towards the shore a few steps. Now Clever was utterly embarrassed, and she thought back to the boy who turned her down. This wasn't the same and reminding herself of that kept her from getting too upset.*

*Akito was utterly confused at this point. He heard her words and felt like they were real. He sat up and looked at her as she walked away. He felt a strange sinking in his heart as she walked off. He stood up and followed her until he was able to stand close to her.*
I'm sorry...I really...didn't think you could want me...You are so...wonderful and beautiful...and I am nothing...
*He felt guilty even saying these things. Like he was betraying Hikaru in many different ways.*

*Synge finished her water and went back around the bar, sitting next to Keira again. She was glad that Keira was being honest, but her answer saddened Synge. Her eyes showed her concern.*

*Clever didn't turn to look at him just yet, her eyes had started to water when her mind began to thing of worst case scenario type thoughts. The things Akito said though made her cheer up a little.*
