[Mudnose flinched slightly as Foxfur screeched at Shadow. The volume of his voice didn't hurt her ears though, but he was quite frightening. She cursed inwardly at Shadow for making the deputy so angry. She hated seeing him so angry. When Shadow dropped off of Foxfur, she stepped over to him once more, a puzzled look crossing her face.] "Is he dead?" [she asked a little too hopefully. Quietly, she pressed a paw to his chest. To her diappointment, she could detect a heartbeat. Hissing slightly, she glanced back at the camp entrance.] "Dear StarClan, where's Swansong with Lavenderstar?!" [she hissed angrily, her tail lashing. Shadow's words still rang in her head, going on about how he had killed her. She was afraid for a moment, but shook her head. Lavenderstar couldn't have lost all of her lives just like that! [I shuddered, out of relief. He was unconscious. I took a few pawsteps back, still shocked at myself for letting my anger get the best of me. My thoughts were momentarily stopped as the blood from my ear got into my eyes, making it hard to see. I blinked rapidly, trying to get it out. That stupid tom had bitten what was left of my right ear. With my luck, I probably had one ear left. Sighing and shaking, I looked over at Mudnose, afraid of how I must've looked to the she-cat.
Probably like a monster.
That didn't really help my mood.
Songkit's young meow reached my ears, and I tore my sad gaze away from Mudnose to look down at the kit, and despite what I had just been through, my rare gentle side was threatening to show]
"It's ok, little one. I know there's no way he could've killed Lavenderstar, she's too strong. He got the best of me.."
[And he knew the best way how. It was like Shadow knew exactly what strings to pull. Standing up, which took a lot of effort, I looked down at the tom, feeling nothing but hatred. I stuck out my head and grabbed Brokensoul by his scruff, and began dragging him to the abandoned den, pushing him in there, then quickly backing away, motioning to Willowheart. She nodded and padded towards me, her eyes huge and sad as she flicked me with her tail and sat down outside the den. I turned away, suddenly feeling more tired than ever, unsure of what to do now]

≎≎Adderkit≎≎  The living shadow...Adderkit stalked out of the nursery, a scene unfolding infront of his yellow eyes. He could see Foxfur dragging Brokensoul into the abandoned den. Adderkit looked around and saw Songkit. He let out a smirk and padded over to the she-cat.] "What happened out here, I was enjoying a peaceful sleep until I heard a yowl." [Adderkit mewed smoothly. He began to circle around Songkit.] "And what happened to you, you look like you just saw a badger and died."   elite and cold-hearted.

[I muttered indistinctly (not to mention mysteriously) under my breath as I rounded the sloppy corner of the camp. What a miserable day. What a terrible, woeful, unruly, day! I snorted, practically shooting out a piece of projectile... Goo. Pssh, stupid reflexes. Things still swung a bit, but not near as bad and I think I was slowly gaining my senses. Must be the scar. I looked admiringly at it, watching it's every rich, cunning, Gorey detail. Ohohoh, gorgeous. This scar was definitely making me more... Tomly. I looked up, and plaintively stepped toward my destination. The medicine den. I had second thoughts, through and through, because I mean... My... My beautiful wound! There's a 50 50 chance that it permanent and if it isn't... I mean it's painful having it and all but once you look through the pain you see something beautiful inside....]
[In the end, I didn't feel in the mood to get scolded and I finished my march toward the den, not stepping as hard to serve my march justice (for the sake of my booboo), and I halted a few foxlengths away from Hauntedheart at the entrance of the den.] "Herrrooo." [I meowed through my teeth, half dazed at what I was doing.] "Er... Mother... I got hurt."

" Don't bet against me- you're sure to lose! "  Shimmer squirmed in the cat's jaws, but let herself go limp as they started to move. Her tail got dunked into a fresh bank of snow; an involuntary squeak of protest emitted from her jaws. Her silver eyes narrowed, Shimmer hung fron the silent cat's jaws as he carried her to meet a purple eyed leader. Or she seemed a leader, from her air of authority. A sudden warmth flooded Shimmer; a remembrance of a good friend. Just like I remem- Wait, how in the world do I remember her? Shimmer thought, confused. Sneezing, she cleared the thoughts from her head and focused her penetrating silver gaze on the two cats before her. Listening, she caught the big orange cat's comment. Was it a name? It sounded familiar. It made Shimmer hold her head higher. "Leopard? No, I'm Shimmer. I came to NightClan with a black cat, and something made me feel like I was supposed to come here. Like this was my home," Shimmer squeaked with pride. Her delicately chiseled head was held high in challenging defiance; the way Leopardstorm always had. Her voice resonated with a wisdom beyond her years; yet her squeak muffled it. Beneath her unblinking silver eyes swam a world of pain, joy, love, and hate- for which Shimmer knew none. She only knew that somehow, she knew these cats! The purple eyes were hard to forget, and who would have those many scars? Pleasant, but faded, memories blinked in and out of her mind, never staying long enough to make sense of it. Confused, Shimmer coughed. Flicking her tail in agitation, her teeth began to click on shivering. The little kitten wasn't meant to stay in the cold so long! She was sick and freezing cold!

Why did she look so much like Leopardstorm? She couldn't be related, and even if she was, she wouldn't look as alike as she did now. Suspicion roused in her mind too, for who was this 'black cat' she was talking about? Was it Cinderwing? Had he sent her to spy on NightClan? She hissed slightly, her thoughts swarming like angry bees in her head, but it scattered quickly when she heard the chattering of teeth. She gasped inwardly. What was she doing just idly thinking? This kit had to be cold!
With a curt nod, she rasped a gentle tongue across the kit's flank before bending down to pick Shimmer up. She didn't need to be walking around in this weather, even if she was working for Cinderwing, or something. Stupid, but clever, Cinderwing, sending a kit to do your dirtywork, she thought angrily.] "We can go back to camp, and you can tell me about this 'black cat'," [she meowed, grasping the kit in her jaws. Her tail flicked behind her, gesturing for Eaglesoar and Swansong to follow.]

I sighed and gave Foxfur a sympathetic smile, one that was returned before the ginger deputy padded away, no doubt in search of Lavenderstar. I switched my gaze to Songkit, overhearing her short conversation with Adderkit. Raising my voice, I called out to her]
"Songkit, come over here for a second, dear. Let me look at your head for a moment'

"Hello, Aurakit. Play? I can't. I'm waiting for Lavenderstar. It's time for me to become an apprentice"

[Mudnose's eyes settled on Foxfur as he carried Shadow to the abandoned den. She sighed. That cat was nothing but trouble. It was a wonder that he was still in NightClan! She growled slightly, her tail twitching. She was about to start toward the den, but she stopped as a black she-cat padded into the camp. Mudnose blinked, relieved. Lavenderstar was okay! But....what was she grasping in her mouth? She gasped. It was a kit!
Mudnose trotted quickly over to Lavenderstar, bowing. The troubled seeming she-cat barely acknowledged her, merely setting a kit down in front of her. "Take Shimmer to the Medicine cat den," she meowed. Mudnose nodded quickly, looking down at the leopard spotted kit. She nodded, gesturing for her to follow. "Er...follow me, and we'll get you cleaned up!" she meowed. She started toward the medicine cat den at the base of the Great Tree (Can't find a better name for it in the description of NightClan oAo), but paused, her eyes flickering to Foxfur. She smiled somewhat shyly, but stoppe, frowning. The remnants of his bad ear were bleeding. She blinked, clearing her throat. "Foxfur, you should see Hauntedheart with us. You don't want your erm..ear, to get infected," she meowed before nodding to Shimmer once more. Her eyes grew curious though. She looked vaguely familiar. Like she had met the kit before.
Slowly, Mudnose shook her head, padding toward Hauntedheart, who was at the edge of her den with Rabbitkit. She smiled slightly, bowing to the medicine cat before speaking. Okay, I am going to have Lavenderstar hold a ceremony after her announcement of how Brokensoul's going to be watched until he can control himself. Any person who has a cat that is ready to become a warrior or apprentice, post in the needed ceremonies place NOW. RIGHT NOW. I have to arrange things with people before I start the ceremony though, which will either be held today, or tomorrow.
