This is hypocrisy. I'm not being mean! What have I said that's mean? You read back. She is distraught, and you kept going. I have nothing more to say about it. She wouldn't be distraught if I called her a firetruck. The only reason you let anything hurt you is because you can see truth in it. That's not on me, I have said nothing hurtful. If somebody, just for example, says that you're a cheap whore or something, you wouldn't see truth in it, but you'd feel insulted anyway, right? Not that you did. It's just an example. Actually I haven't gotten laid in like eight months so if someone called me a cheap whore I'd laugh.

And Paula, I know you well enough to know that you mean well, but sometimes you have the social subtlety of a small nuclear weapon. It's not bad, it's what makes you who you are. Sometimes, though, it comes off like you're preaching, rather than espousing your opinion, which you're entitled to. And you get defensive remarkably quick, which exacerbates things.
