Oh, in a Newsarama interview he's complaining about how "the Internet" doesn't like his current Flash run, starting with "passionate hatred" for Acuna's art and ending with "they just don't want to see things change."
This is the same guy who said, when he got back ON the Flash, that he was having his modem removed.
He claims he's leaving Flash because he's 'too busy,' but then spends the rest of the interview crying about how the Internetz hates his writing. rolleyes
For the record, I've REALLY enjoyed the return of the Flash. Especially Iris and Jai. My favorite comic when I was really young was Power Pack. I love the idea of kids with superpowers figuring out how they work. I can see that people may think he's gone too deep into the character development well and not enough into the "Wally fights bad guys" well, but I've enjoyed every issue that's come out so far, even the 'dreaded' Acuna artwork.
Mark needs to get over the persecution complex and stop worrying about what the Newsarama pundits b***h about.

Blah, Flash and Batman are the only two big DC titles I'm picking up. Yeah, I hate Acuna's art, but Waid is more than worth sticking around for.

He speaks really highly of his replacement writer, including saying that Grant wishes the guy was writing more DC comics, so I have high hopes.

Mark Waid Writer-wise, the book's in terrific hands with Tom Peyer, about whom Grant Morrison has said to me more than once, "It's a tragedy he's not writing more DC comics." Tom's probably the best writer out there that no one knows about and hopefully this'll make him the household name he ought to be.

Peyer's pretty good. I've read some of his stuff.
Honestly, Waid's current Flash run hasn't thrilled me. The art isn't the issue with me because I could honestly care less about it as long as I can tell what's going on and it doesn't make my eye's bleed. I like Acuna's art, but I don't think this title was a good home for him, besides, he's been away from the book for a few issues now. The story itself has been kind of dull for me. The weirdo Chtulu spawn monsters of thirst haven't excited me. The twins haven't won me over. I'm not against Wally and Linda having kids, but I'm not feeling strongly any which way about Iris and Jai. Don't like them, don't dislike them, they just fell like filler right now.

So everybody knows that Superman is DC's flagship b***h. Borrowed from the dccomics.com boards, lets post five things that DC says can hurt the supposedly invunerable Superman:
1) Bugs 2) Wonder Woman's tiara 3)Prankster's electric bubble 4)Arion's monsters 5) Magic plants 6) Dr. Light's light rays
Ok, so the original poster came up with six. Ill add as an extra bonus Batman's undefeatable Turn-His-Opponent-Into-A-Jobber Aura.
You guys got some more?

All she'd have to do is take off her gloves and touch him. If the contract doesn't dill him she'd have two different set of abilities powered by the sun. Though that is if she wakes up from her coma. Though I have no real idea that fight would happen. A fanart with the x-man up against superman brought it to mind.

I'm not sure it isn't that he's looking for an out because he doesn't have much left to say with the character. I liked the work he was coming up with, but it wasn't really thrilling me. And I have to be about the only person who didn't mind Acuna's art. I don't necessarily think it was the best fit, but there were points where it was superb and I think it should be given a better chance. The color and art were still feeling their way around the Flash.

He was able to draw kids without having them look like hideous dwarves, and therefore got a pass in my book.

True enough, very very few artists can do that. When a lot of the artists out there draw babies they tend to look like d**k Cheney. I don't know why.
