Varnis had quickly walked into the class room quietly, and sat down in his desk, and took his Katana placed it next to him on the floor, and Raiden sat down next to it. Varnis took out a piece of Paper, and started to work on the problems. These seem pretty easy. He had thought to himself.

(ooc - gonna assume everyone is here to simplify things, I've got dinner in about 10 mins so it's this post then I'll be gone for a couple of hours)
Karariv easily noticed the centaur come in late, but decided to take the matter up later.
She checked her register and counted the students, the numbers matched. It was a good start, only one latecomer, but she suspected the reason would be complicated.
Once all the papers were done she stood up and spoke again, "Right, now you've all completed the exercise, a small talk, then we'll mark the papers." she paused, "Some of you may be wonderign why you learn algebra at a combat school. It's a simple reason really, in wars and battles you may need to do complex maths in order to help achieve your objective. You use Algebra where variables will always change, but the equation is still the same. That is why you learn algebra here." she let the group digest what she had said
"Ok, time to mark the papers, I want you to swap papers with someone, I don't care who, I will then write the answers on the board and the best method to reach those answers. There is a mark per step in the method and two marks for the answer. Also if someone has made a mistake in the method, but the parts after that step are correct when you take the mistake into account, give them the marks, but only one mark for the answer, once you have marked the exercise, give it back to the person who did it. Once you have your own paper back, you can go after handing the paper to me. Keep the textbooks that were out, you will need them for furture work. There are no assignments I want doing out of lesson."
She then used the enchanted chalk to write down the answers with the full methods.

Karariv waited for papers to be handed into her. Soon they started to drift in and when the Centaur came up to her desk she said, "I would appreciate it if you turned up on time to all my lessons in future, since it is your first day I will let you off, but in future I will be harsh, but it is the same for everyone."

Odyn was totally zoned out and didn't even hear what the teacher said, even beginning to drool a little out of the corner of his mouth.

Mariye traded papers with Cynthia, knowing there would be no mistakes. Really, one you understood the concept, it was a matter of being careful and paying attention. Which was why Odyn was no good at it... She grinned. He'd much rather be off doing something.

Mariye stood up and stretched, glad at least for the chance to move about. She moved up and touched Odyn on the shoulder. "Good morning," she murmured, grinning.

"Huuuh?" Odyn blinked blearily, why did his eyes feel so dry? And there was something slimy on his chin...

"Here, wipe that off yourself." He said handing him a handkerchief. Not that he used it, but he carried it around anyways. He picked up his books including the one for this class and left the room to head for his next class.

That was a fast class. He had thought to himself, as he stood up. He Grabbed his Katana, and put it back onto his side. "Raiden wake up." As he pokes Raiden to wake up. Raiden gets up, and flies to Varnis' shoulder, and sits there.

"Well where is out next class at?" As he said to to no one in particular, Varnis had looked at his schedule to find out.

"Next class is government, this should be fun." He said walking into the room, taking his seat in front of the teachers desk and leaning back in his chair. He hoped that this class would let him voice his opinions, speaking of which he forgot to apologize to Garreth. He had lost track of what he had been doing when he went out to meet Odyn. He'd have to go find him after classes were over, he also wanted to help Odyn out with algebra so he wouldn't have to ask him questions during class.
