Once upon a time, well, actually 2006, I had commie tendencies, I was mostly core Marxist or somesuch.
Nowadays, I'm a filthy capitalist pig. I support imperialism and the raping of the proletariat and lumpenproletariat by the bourgeoisie and I'm very evil. Well, according to you guys.
I like to hang out with commies <3. So lets all get along. I can be like the token capitalist.
I can see it now.

I think the works of Stalin were the greatest of Russia's breakthroughs and achievements. His military knowledge was infinite as was the punishment for wrong doers. Marx was his inspiration, and a wise man as well. His teachings and philosiphies brought Stalin to his stature in the Russian Gov. and because of that and the fact that I agree with most of Karl Marx's great philosophies I am also mostly Marxist, more than Stalinist.

Name: Nicholas.
Sex: Male.
Type of Communist: Anti-
As with Curse, I used to have some rather prominent Communist tendencies (Primarily Stalinist).
More recently, However, I've become a Capitalist, An advocate of Representative Democracy, A Republican, A Christian and an avid interventionist.
Also as with Curse, Classical Liberalism is the bee's knees. cool Gay marriage, Pro-choice, Freedom of Speech / Religion and all that jazz.
Why join then? Why, Communists are excellent fact-checkers, Of course! In pitting two opposing ideologies together, Both can benefit. Namely by forcing preconceived notions to be challenged and sharpening the various points each side makes into a more coherent argument.
Let's be friends and have tea parties and do each others' nails and talk about boys and all that. :'D

Reason as to joining to better educate myself on the subject, and learn even more of a subject and ideology that I inherently agree with so please educate and enlighten me own ideas on politics I enjoy the right to free speech, and almost every aspect of democracy, save it could be better, every politician i have seen or heard of is either corrupt in some sort of way or incompetent the state of living where I reside, is the poorest i have seen, I myself can't even get medical attention and have troubles affording education after all a country is only as good or, prosperous as it's people then why shouldn't every government provide even the most basic steps so as to prosper? I want to give back to my community nay the world even as the field I wish to work in later in life would be prosthetic research development and manufacture so as to help those around the world who are still plagued by landmines and losing limbs of every sort.

Welcome Devlin. :3 Soon there will (hopefully) be more formal group-type opportunities to learn here... if we get that educational council going any time in the near future. Meanwhile, feel free to learn by osmosis and perhaps post any questions that you have about socialism or communism in the 'Ask Gracchvs' thread.

Name: Rachel Martin
Gender: Female
Type of Communist: Not sure, here to find out
About Me: I'm rather new to communism. I only 'discovered' my communism about a year or so ago when forced to take a political ideology quiz in civics. At the time, I had no idea what anything really meant, but I was entirely stuck with the opinion that Stephan Harper blows.
I kind of went along with it, and tried to do a bit of research. I also have a lovely little collection of Soviet war memorabilia, and the piece I would currently consider to be my 'of most value' (mostly because I either have no idea what the Hell the others are yet or I have no idea what they're worth) is my Order of the Great Patriotic War, 2nd Class. I've got a few head dresses (One naval officer's cap, and one wedge, presumably air force). The wedge also came covered in various little pins and a few patches for occupations. I'm looking to expand my collection, as well as find out what the rest of the pins are for.
