Tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, he glanced down at the floor around them. "That wouldn't have been pleasant. This place looks like home to chipped scales..." But a mere blink as she tagged him with her tail and skated off more into the open ice. He followed, gliding along the ground with just the right balance of grip and momentum from his feet. "No flying, that's cheating." He saw her move towards a large stalagmite in the ground and slid around to the other side of it, popping up in front of her and touching her shoulder with his hand. "Surprise."

Well today was fun for Caden, since he spend his day off helping everyone because of the earthquake he got this day off now, yay for him times ten. Anyway since he had this day off he decided to spend his time just enjoying the city, maybe go down to the market place or something. But as soon as he left the house he was greeted by his friend, the one who would do the foundations after the rubble is completely cleared. So after chatting for a little bit he was handed a list and asked to give it to the Commander, and of course Caden didn't mind, it wasn't like he was going to go to work.
So with the list in hand he headed off to the tower in hopes to find him there, when he didn't he decided to head on over to Kaz's home, might as well hand it to the man personally really. So off Caden went, and it didn't take him long to get thier either. So in no time at all the guard was standing at the door, a few knocks on the wooden frame and he waited, couldn't just walk in there.

Card games had gotten bumped up to dice games, pirates dice to be exact. mostly because people were starting to get wise that hunter was probably cheating at cards, and this dice game was very difficult if at all to cheat at. But, too many people just forgot what Hunter was, apparently. probably the alcohol and smoke combination. trying to use a pirate game to best a pirate? good luck with that one. not to say Hunter didn't lose a fair share of hands..but every time he won he made enough to more than cover his losses.

"Alright!" She was rather excited at that. Thus grabbing her friend's hand, she tugged her along through the halls, trying to remember her way back down the stairs. After a few moments of disorientation and such, she got it then hurried down the stairs and over to the front door, pulling it open and glancing back. "Come on Sa-" She ran into something standing there and with the momentum she'd created from her own frenzied walking, they both went down. Thankfully she'd let go of Savvy a moment earlier so she wouldn't be dragged down as well. Shyrae glanced down at what she'd fallen on and flushed. "Oh...hi Caden..." Well this was lovely.

"No flying, gotcha." Snapping her tail around said stalagmite in order to bring herself around it, only to have Kaz pop up on the other side making her give a yelp of surprise before she was tagged. A quick yank to the ice spike, hugging to it to keep from falling and givning him a blink and smile. "Surprise indeed, better get running." Letting him start getting some distance before she pushed off hte stalagmite, giving a shiver. Note...don't hug against ice things.
But then she got her wits about her and took off after him, a bit envious as he could straight out avoid her, even on the ice. Nice boots and evasive manuver actions really. Eventually though she was gaining on him and stretched her fingers out, catching him on a wing. "You're it!" Of course you should never switch your balance like that...and especially when the ice got uneven. Which meant a flailing motion for her before she plopped down and slid across the ice, right into a little snow bank that was in the place. Sitting up, shivering lightly, she popped her head out of the snow nad shook the ice crystals off of it. Smile. "Point is you're still it."
Savryn blinked at the tell tale sounds of crashing and such and looked down, blinking lightly. Who was Shyrae laying on? Then again her question was answered by Shyrae sayign hello to whom she had plowed over. "You know, Caden, you should never stand directly in front of a door even after you've knocked, things like this happen." And frankly she didn't have too much time to play, she needed some supplies for work.

Quietly Caden waited for the commander to show up at the door, he didn't want to seem like he was in a hurry so he didn't even bothered to knock on the door again, after all every dragon got a good pair of ears on them so the guard knew that the dragon heard him.
Still when the door actually opened Raynes was looking off a little, he thought he saw something odd but it seemed that his mind was playing tricks on him today, it was just a bird moving out of the corner of his eye. By the time he turned his head back so he could focus on who ever was at the door he felt something slam into him, and since he wasn't prepared to brace himself Caden found himself on the ground with someone on top of him. It took him a few seconds to come back out of shock and he mentally checked to see if everything was okay, and lucky for him he just got a light bump on the head. When he opened his eyes he was staring back into to amber orbs and instantly he realized just who walked into him.
"Uh...hello Shyrae..." Now this was nice, well not nice nice but awkward nice, he was laying on the ground with a female drow on top of him, and with him knowing how this one was probably dressed he blushed a little bit as he felt her body against his own. "It's ummm...nice to see you again." A small blink as he heard another voice and raised his head a little to look over the drow shoulder to see Savvy acting like she always does. "Well I thought the Commander was home...came to drop off a list of sorts..." He looked at Shyrae out of the corner of his eye before he started to move, pressing one hand against her shoulder so she could also move with him while he sat up, seconds later they were before sitting on the ground as Caden looked at the list that he was given. "Sorry bout that Shyrae...anyways what are you two up to today?" He asked looking back and forth between the two elves

He didn't need her to tell him that. He knew the point of this game. Thus pushing off the icy structure himself, he turned and took off down the ice, gliding on his boots and keeping balance with rhythmic beats of his wings to propel him forward a bit faster too. Before long though, he felt the touch on his wing and turned with an exasperated smile of sorts just in time to see her land in the snow bank. The smile unconsciously widened. "I may be it but you're in a very vulnerable position." Gliding over, he offered a hand and pulled her up to her feet again, brushing off the snow from her back. "Any freeze burns? Sprains? Chipped scales?" Back to concerned Kaz again.

Aw look, he was smiling like he did when he was younger and more carefree. She like that smile, meant that he was really enjoying himself and not just pretended to. Even if such a moment was fleeting, it was nice to experience. Letting him pull her up she gave a flap of wings to shake snow, cringing a little...that was from earlier, but hey, ignoring it. "No I think I'm good, other than wet and cold now...wait...this means I'm it doesn't it?" Blinking back at him a moment before a mischevious smile since she already knew the answer to that. "Ambush!" Thusly jumping him to throw them both down to the ground, probably sliding as well.

She felt silly now. Pushing her palms flat against the porch, she shoved her body off of his and back into some semblance of a proper position, fixing her hair that had probably smacked him in the face. Dusting off her hands and her clothes and fixing them a little she turned back to Savvy. "It was my fault. I thought I heard a knock but ignored it and then this happened. I also should have been paying attention when I opened the door." Glancing behind her for a moment she shook her head, "I think he left already. His father is in the tower though...I think. We're just going to get some things done around town."

A blink and a look down at her hand in his, then realization dawned on his face and he rolled his eyes. "Oh no..." He caught that impish look in her eyes and prepared himself for something like the ambush which was duly thrown at him. "I thought that was a timeout period." They were both thrown to the ground though, him on his butt and lower back and her straddled across his hips, sliding down the stretch of smooth ice until he stretched his wings to slow their momentum just as his back met the snowy wall with a soft thud. "I think I'm wet and cold now too. I hope you're satisfied."

A little finger shoved the shard into the groove that was earlier place there. Duely the wood carving moved a bit and he squealed in delight. "Come on, let's try it! Daddy said the water should spin!" Clip clopping over to the play set and dropping the fish in the make believe lake, watching it take to swimming in circles and duely whirl pooling the water. "Neat!"
Savvy waved a hand dismissively. "Whoever's fault it is." SHrugging some and then stepped out of the place and around the two as best as she could...could kinda see where they were. "Yes, I have myself a job and we need some supplies to get. Spell components if you will." Stepping off the porch. "And Shyrae wanted to show me her current pet project." Literal pet project as well.
"Does it matter, you're it now again?" A blink and a look at how they had ended up. "Or rather we both are...which is a rule I not how to solve." Giving a chuckle as he had slowed then down easily enough. He was always so nice and in control. "Well, now you know how I feel." Giving another chuckle and splaying her wings lightly before folding them around herself since she was easier to get cold right now. "And yes, it does satisfy me very much to know as such. I just like being able to catch you off guard sometimes."

Shyrae wasn't the only one feeling silly, Caden felt a little embarrassed for not keeping his eyes on the door when it opened, still in that little moment where they were laying like that, the smell of what seemed to be the shampoo she used...it might just bug him for a day or so. So he sighed a little from his position, today was turning out to be fun wasn't it? Still at least he saw that the elves were doing alright which was a good thing. But he gave a small nod to the drow and smiled. "Thanks, I may just drop off the list inside his home, he would know what it is." So slowly he got up and brushed himself off a little bit. "I'll be right back hang on." He wanted to finished what he set out for earlier, it didn't take him long enough to put the list where Kaz might see it, and a minute later and he was outside again.
"Well I was thinking...mind if I come along? It's my day off and I need to pick up a few things myself." He pulled out a list and checked things over before putting it back inside his pocket, he needed to make sure he was going to be getting what he needed. "Pet project?" He asked looked at said person who was working on it, he never knew that though then again he didn't know much about these elves, they've been only here for a few days after all.

"So I am... This is why this game never ends with a winner." Rolling his eyes and shaking his head ever so slightly, then brushing his hands and moving to a standing position again, taking her with him. "Don't worry, you do that a lot. I have my daily doses of being caught off guard by you." Giving her a solemn once over. "If we fly a bit, you might be less cold. Do you want to go back out?"

Pirate's dice was interesting enough with this crowd to entertain for awhile, but before long it lost it's appeal. just no fun playing with those that weren't savvy to all the nuances that can only be experienced when playing with other pirates and cutthroats.
But there was another reason to leave. every man of the sea can feel something about to happen. can sense the storm approaching. and something was coming. and he wanted to get to his ship. and take that damned necro with him if he had to to do her damned paid for experimenting.

"I...well...sure." Savvy wouldn't like it but truthfully, what would it hurt. She waited for him to come back and then pulled the door closed behind the others and led the way out into the inner areas of the city. Slipping back by one of the shadows, she lifted her fingers to her lips and blew out a shrill whistle. Moments later amidst a flurry of barking and licking tongues, she snapped her fingers and pointed the ground. "Sit." Instantly four dogs plopped into the correct position. "Someone taught them that already but they still should have a treat.
SHe reached into her bag and pulled out a few scraps of meat tossing one to each dog. "I've only named one so far. Sundance. She's the large yellow one and the leader of the group I think. Very intelligent." The dog she was referring to snapped straight up at the sound of her name and trotted over pushing her head against Shyrae's hand. "See? She's been trained before by someone." Patting the dog's side lightly. "Feel free to pet them, they won't bite. Just wait until they are finished with their snacks or they might."
Eilynne snapped straight up from her spot on the wall, peering out in hawk form over everything in the city. She watched the elves and humans mingle and even Hunter in his playing. Her senses reacted the moment that whirlpool began and she quickly called out a warning to the guards, flying by the tower and knocking her beak against Lycear's study window. The water is acting strange! Hurry! She then flew over and closed her eyes, throwing out a sensory net, searching for the energy signature of what had caused it. The beat of a moment and...nothing. No evil presence and no evil magic. That couldn't be right...
She was feeling a little lethargic but wandered over to the table and watched carefully as her brother manipulated the fish and used the toys Daddy had brought to make them move on their own. "That is neat! How long will it do it for?"
