Brayden smiled, "If there's anything I can do to help convince them, just tell me," he assured Kaya with a nod, "I"ll do whatever I can."
"I agree," he smiled at Cali's touch to the carving, "Nice addition." The Umbreon merely smiled, before trotting on down the corridor.
"I'm with you, and it looks like Cali thinks the same. We should get back to the others," he smiled, "It'll be a long way to Snowpoint, but I think it'll be a nice change of pace. Its been a while since I've had a set destination in mind," he admitted with a laugh, "I've gotten used to wandering aimlessly without a goal in mind."
"Hopefully they don't think we've been drained dry by Golbat by now, though," he grinned mischievously as he started on down the shaft.
Brayden paused, hearing a metallic roar. He turned, spotting the Steelix that reared in front of him, challenging the boy for intruding on his territory. The Steelix charged, barreling towards him.

Brayden called Gin'iro before him, the Ninetails crouching as the Steelix neared the group.
"Ready?" Brayden asked with a smile. He was glad to have the Ninetails back with him. Gin'iro nodded, grinning eagerly as he leaped suddenly at the Steelix. Flames danced around the fox in a circle before flaring brightly, engulfing both Gin'iro and the Steelix. The metallic snake roared loudly, crashing to the floor a moment later, Gin'iro leaping lightly off of its back with a smirk. His Fire Blast sure could pack a punch.
"Thanks, Gin," Brayden offered with a grin, as the Ninetails nodded, stretching lazily as he trotted after Caliga, tails waving with the movement along with his happiness. He was in a much better mood now that he was back with the others. Brayden couldn't help the smile as he watched Gin practically sashayed off happily.
"Heh, glad you have you back," he murmured, watching the Ninetails for a bit before turning his attention back to Kaya.

Speaking of Golbat, Vhan was hiding behind Felix at the moment, having spotted a roosting one on the ceiling that he was certain was watching him. "It's just waiting for me ot expose my neck!" he had cried out as he ducked behind Felix, failing to notice that he had sprouted a tail at this point.
He finally remembered Chloe asking if he thought him chanigng might be related tot he weapons and whimpered a reply. "Well, Star Shaper's not one of those weapons, you're talking about. I've had it forever...as long as I can remember." he explained. "But....if all of you guys have one, then...maybe the power from all of them is affecting me." he hypothesized, not really sure what he was talking about himself.Kaya watched Brayden and Gin battle the Steelix, once again thoroughly surprised at the Ninetails' strength.
He grinned at his partner before replying to his earlier comments. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it." he said calmly.
"I agree. " he replied to Bray's comment on not having a destination in mind. "I've mostly been following you guys around and training when I can." he admitted. "I really haven't done any extended training since I beat Clair." he added as an afterthough, realizing it for the first time since he'd done it.
"Yeah, and hopefully Vhan hasn't been eaten alive by Zubat already. He was freaking when the last one attacked him." he admitted with a laugh, watching as Tsuki trotted ahead of the group to catch up with Cali.{Appearance: (2/7}

Lilie skid to a halt as the Charmeleon dug his claws into the gravel. The Chikorita looked back, frowning slightly, "What's wrong?" she asked, still holding onto his tail.
"That'd be my guess," Chloe nodded to Vhan, "After all, you've been around Kaya, Brayden, Ricardo, Julian, Sasha, and myself, all of whom have one of the weapons or armor that were mentioned in the legend. Although I still have no clue on how exactly they work," she admitted, "Perhaps they do have the ability to bring out these changes in normal people. Its just a guess, though. I'm hardly the expert," she laughed.
Chloe turned, hearing a roar behind her. She had expected yet another Onix, so she was startled to see the glint of silver on the Steelix that was challenging her.
Chloe sighed, "Figures. Why couldn't you have shown up before I already caught an Onix and obtained a Metal Coat?" she chided the Steelix who gave her a confused look before charging with another roar.
"Ah well, guess I can give Saku some more training," Chloe grumbled, calling the Shelgon before her, a bit miffed. But at least she'd be able to give the Shelgon a bit more experience. That much was alright with her.

"Kay, Saku, this one's got a really tough skin, so we'll have to weaken him bit by bit with Embers," Chloe instructed the Shelgon, who nodded in understanding as she flared out a fireball at the Steelix.
"Just keep looking for openings and use Ember!" Chloe called, deciding to sit this one out, leaving it up to Saku to handle herself.
The Steelix roared, a bit weakened by the flames, but more enraged than anything. He dove at Saku, using a Slam, as Saku dug in, scratching furrows in the mine floor as she was knocked back. Her tough shell protected her, however, as she rolled over, charging as she flared another Ember at the Steelix. She was rewarded with a Rock Throw, as the tunneling snake released a barrage of boulders. Saku skipped back a few paces, growling as she tried to avoid the falling rocks. Seeing an opening, she struck with another Ember. This had the Steelix reeling. He was almost done for, but he struck with another Slam, not willing to give in yet. Saku used the close range to get one more Ember in, and that was enough to finish the job.
"Awesome job, Saku," Chloe smiled, as the Shelgon shook off the dust that had gathered on her shell. The small dragon returned to Chloe's side, as she opted to keep Saku out for the time being. Since Entreri was still sulking in the rafters, and Lilie was bugging Hino.

Brayden nodded as he started to follow Tsuki, Caliga, and Gin'iro back to the others. A blue blur shot past, and it took him a moment to realize it was Sai, as terrified as ever of being left behind. He chuckled, before responding to Kaya.
"Yeah, things have been relatively quiet lately, which has been kinda nice," he admitted, "Even with the trouble in the mines, things ended well. For that I'm glad."
"But its awesome that you beat Clair," he smiled, "I had a bit of trouble with her, to be honest. Cye bailed me out with his ice moves, but it ended up a bit too close for my tastes," he laughed, "Her dragons certainly don't pull any punches."
He had to laugh at Kaya's comment about Vhan, "Haha, hopefully we can help protect him from the bloodsuckers," he laughed, "I have to hand it to him, and Felix especially. They can hold their own in a place like this, which is admirable. I know I waited a long while before I even dared stepping into this place," he laughed.

Vhan nodded idly while he considered what Chloe had said. "I guess it's possible that their combined power might be able to cause some form of evolution in the human genome, but Science never was my forte..." he thought aloud. "And besides, this seems a bit more along the lines of mystical than scientific." he added in as he ducked behind Felix again, having noticed the Golbat above was seemingly watching him again.
Crouched down as he was, a small item delicately wrapped in blue paper fell from his bag. Cold and Heartless as she was, Hopeless saw it and floated over, grabbed it and swallowed it whole without bothering to unwrap it.Kaya couldn't help but to laugh a bit at Sai's reaction to being left in the dark. "That Vaporeon of yours is so skittish. I can't help but wonder why..." he though aloud, though he was quickly distracted from thinking any more on it by his lover's next comment.
"That's true, aside from the storms surrounding Harmony Island, things do seem fairly quiet for Lance having the sword. This place hasn't done much aside from sit here for ages as far as I know." he added.
"Oh, I don't know when I had a battle that hard since." he remarked about his battled with Clair. If I hadn't had my Ampharos with me when I battled her, I really don't know if I would've won. And I owe a lot of the credit to Mian and Naofa. They dealt most of the damage in that battle." he added.
He laughed aloud when Brayden mentioned Vhan and Felix. "They're doing better than we did as beginners." he admitted. "We had so many pratfalls and missteps when we started out that I can't recall all of them." he said with a barely withheld giggle.
He was snapped out of his reverie though, when a dark blue blur shot past him and stoppe in front of Tsuki. He could barely see what it was, but Brayden might recognize the small blue and black form that had presented itself.{Appearance: (3/7}

"I'm honestly not sure why he's so skittish," Brayden frowned slightly, watching the Vaporeon duck behind Caliga as they continued to walk through the tunnels. The Umbreon cast a curious glance over her shoulder at the young one, before shrugging. She didn't really mind Sai tagging along. Brayden considered asking Kaya to help translate for the Vaporeon, but didn't want to bother him. His attention was drawn by something else a split moment later, however, as something caught his eye.
Brayden paused as the Riolu sped past him, almost mistaking it for Zephyr for a moment before recalling that he had evolved. Speaking of whom... it had finally sunk in who had been removed from his party to make room for Sai. He still had no clue how the Vaporeon had ended up inside a Pokeball in his bag, however...
"Its a Riolu," he smiled, shaking his head as he realized he was simply stating the obvious, "I'd heard they can be spotted here, but they're pretty rare," he commented. A moment later he knelt, trying to get a better look at the baby Pokemon.
"He's got beautiful eyes," Brayden smiled, "Reminds me of the ocean."

"I'm not sure. I found him caught in the reeds back in Canalave," Brayden explained, "I let him back in the water after that, but it looks like he followed me. I honestly didn't catch him, that must have happened by accident. But he seems to want to stick around, so I have no complaints."
"Looks like he's got some spunk," Brayden smiled, seeing the Riolu break free from Kaya's first attempt at catching the small fighting type.
"I honestly don't really care for fighting types too much myself, but Zephyr grew on me," Brayden admitted, "Riolu and Lucario are probably the only fighting types that I like. Pokemon like Machamp scare the bejeebus out of me, though," he shuddered, "I don't think I'd like training a Pokemon that looked like it ate steroids for breakfast," he muttered.
"I'm perfectly happy with my water types," he laughed.
