"Which corner?" Kaleb asked, wagging his tail a bit.

"Ah don care." He knew it had to be really early in the morning. Way to early for anyone but Rufus to be awake.

"Okay!" Kaleb chirped, and bounced back off the bed to grab his toast and portal back to his apartment to select books. He had finished the small meal well before picking out the books he wanted most, but Riley wouldn't have had much time to sleep before Kaleb had moved the books to a suitable corner and was bouncing into the bedroom again. "Should I bring some clothing over too?"

"Oh my God Kaleb .. i'm trying to sleep!" He whined and rolled over onto his stomach.

Kaleb immediately stopped his bouncing and tail wagging. "I-I'm s-sorry," he stuttered, feeling horrible for getting so excited and forgetting that Riley liked to sleep in later. He slunk out to the livingroom and curled up on the couch with one of his books, but he felt too miserable to get any serious work done.

After a few minuets he sighed and drug himself out of bed. Walking out to the living room he dropped over the arm of the couch so his head ended up against his partners leg.

"I-I thought y-you wanted to sleep." Kaleb said, still looking upset and fidgeting badly when he didn't have to turn the page on his book.

He didn't really answer Kaleb but he did shift so he was more comfortable. He could sleep like that as long as Kaleb didn't start asking him questions again.

Kaleb calmed down a bit once he realized what his partner's intentions were, but he still felt bad for waking him up and then making him sleep on the couch. "I-I'm sorry," he whispered, hesitantly reaching over with one hand to rub Riley's ears.

He turned his head into the touches and sighed. That was better than having Kaleb asking him things. His partner could be awake and he could get more of his needed sleep.

Kaleb smiled a little in relief, it seemed like Riley wasn't really mad at him. He relaxed and went back to his book. Now that he wasn't so worried, he could focus on what he was reading and probably stay like that until his partner was ready to get up.

It would be hours before Riley was even going to think about getting up again. Work wasn't until around noon and he didn't usually wake up until around ten anyway. That would be plenty of time for them to get some of Kaleb's things.

Kaleb started to get fidgety and distracted at around nine thirty. He glanced down at Riley, and then started channeling some magical energy to pour himself a glass of chocolate milk from where he sat rather than disturbing his partner. It was a tricky task and he had to close his eyes to really concentrate, but he had enough skill to feel his way around the kitchen and finally float the drink to where he could grab it. With that problem solved, he settled back down and happily sipped at his glass of milk.

He yawned slightly and shifted. He was awake but he didn't want to get up yet. Then again he almost never wanted to get up anyway so that wasn't saying much.
