Terran stood there waiting for his life to end. He had heard of the big wave that was coming, and he was hoping to drown. He was unsucessful in life, and he just wanted to end it. Despite a few people supporting him, most just insulted him and even hurt him physically.
Terran just wanted it all to end and he didn't deserve to die on the solid ground he loved so much. Tears and rain rushed down his body, as he waited for death to come, and end the pain.

Akira Mercuraki Terran stood there waiting for his life to end. ::And yet to no such luck. As with most people obsessed with their problems they lack the detail to see the smaller intricate designs in the weaves and fabrics of existance. For example, the nanite plague infecting Gaia' oceans over the last year and a half...the silvery hue the water had begun to take. These things were missed as currently all Terran was likely looking at was his hopeful demise. There was no way he could have expected what he recieved. With a sudden rushing sound the wave came crashing down. Terran wouldnt find himself crushed, though for a moment he might feel like he was tossed into the spin cycle of a washing machine. He was being knocked against several surfaces and none of them were wet. After a few seconds of blacknesss and mindless spinning, the ride came to halt and the waves could audibly be heard relaxing. About then the lights came on, or rather, the prison Terran found himself in became transparent. For all intents and purposes he was in a bubble several hundred feet below the surface of the water. Silvery machinated fishes could be seen swimming by and the oceans surface could be seen gently churning above. The bubble felt glass, and infact it might have been. Though all that was definately known was that there was transparent bubble surrounding them man giving him just enough hieght to stand. And then he came. From the bubble itself came a voice. It sounded a bit like the voice of a child, innocent yet intellegent. It was obvious who it was speaking too at this point.:: Being. What is your function?

The kilo submarine surfaced in the sea of gambino at night. The lights of the Gambino casino glitering on the horizon, at the end of the long string of lights along the bridges that followed minor islands to the resort paradise. Yaits city had tried to be a casino town, only to remain second to the isle of Gambino. It had tried to be an industrial center, but it was still a distant second to Aekea. The hatch opened and a clean shaven captain, weary from a long practice dive in stormy waters of the ocean, emerged. He took a deep breath of the fresh air and lit a cigarette, covering the light with his palm. Not that anyone would notice, technically, the world was still at peace.
If war did break out, his sub had orders to work with the 3rd flotilla and close off the sea of Gambino from the ocean. This kilo was specially equipped with lighter, faster, smaller, torpedoes to take on Gaian comercial shipping as opposed to other wardhips, and more like it were being assembled in Western Port along with the regular version.
Let's see how the heathen's like a blockade, the captain thought.

"Sorry, kid, we can't take you any further."
Athan was at the prow of the boat, staring over the vast expanse of the Ocean. From where Aedin's waters ended, about a hundred yards in front of the boat, there was a thin silver line that began to make up the...water?
"What the hell is this, anyway?"
"Dunno. We haven't been able to send tradeships past this point for quite some time. Kind of a pain in the a**, really. Didn't you hear that the King was worried this was going to affect our own waters soon?"
Athan furrowed his brow, staring down at the waters in front of their boat. He was fairly upset. He had spent the majority of his funds chartering boats back and forth between the main continent and his homeland, and now this happened. He really had been gone for awhile.
"Alright, well..."
Athan looked to his right, then ducked back into the belly of the ship. When he emerged, he had the two family heirlooms, Kel'Drin and the Mercurial Greatsword, strapped onto his back, and the Chaotic Sword hooked to his waist. A dufflebag was thrown over his shoulder.
"Guess I'll just go there myself."
"Look, Athan. I know you miss all the adventure over there, but this is suicide. Our biggest ships couldn't make it past that metal sea! Somethin's changed the fish there, boy, they'll take you down the moment you enter their territory."
Athan didn't say anything. He threw his duffle into one of the spare lifeboats, then loaded up some water and food. He entered the boat, then looked back to the ship's captain.
"How long of a trip is it?"
"Rowing? You can't be serious."
"How long of a trip is it?"
"It'd take three men a couple months to row that far. Listen to reason, boy! You won't make it."
Athan ducked back into the ship's galley, emerged with a couple more bottles of water, and then loaded a fishing rod into the boat for good measure.
"Just do me one last favor and you can head back. Lower this boat."
Athan hopped into the lifeboat, looked to the rather distraught captain, and waited.
"...Lower the damn boat."
And with that, the captain retired to his quarters while a few crewmen came to lower the life boat. Before he hit water, the captain came back and tossed something down to him. Athan caught it, then looked at the round object. It was a compass.
"You want to go west!"
Athan nodded, then severed the ropes from the main vessel, and started rowing.
He really had a long ways to go, but he'd be damned if he didn't make it.

"Sir, you aren't going to believe this...but he's almost made it to the sea of Gambino without any problems."
"What? Impossible, give me those."
The captain snagged the binoculars from the hands of the first mate and readjusted the lenses before focusing on the tiny dot that was Athan and his lifeboat. Sure enough, one could just barely make out the sight of the oars splashing against the water.
"Well I'll be. Alright, guess we don't need to hang around here anymore. Set a course for Port Einhasad, he's on his own now."
The captain turned around, and the large vessel eventually unfurled her sails and took off in the opposite direction, back to the homeland that Athan would probably never see again.
Or maybe Athan wasn't on his own. Strangely enough, the currents of the ocean were actually in favor of Athan. That, coupled with his fervent rowing, had pushed him a considerable distance further than even he himself knew. He was actually creating a little bit of wake with the way he plunged the wooden oars into the water. Any harder, and he'd probably break the things off in mid-stroke. Sweat began to collect on his brow as he rowed, only stopping to take a drink of water when he was thirsty. There was no point to rest while he had a rhythm going.

(A Pirate's Life for Me~ The Aventure of the Pirate King-- continued) Kraun Well, to Turriens it wouldnt look like much, as his vision in the dark was solely based on shifting heat signatures in the environment, so it would just look like a mess in the boy's hands. However, he really didnt like the sound made by whatever it was his knife hit, so he quickly pulled the boy back into the stairway as he hid himself. Now, he needed light to identify what exactly the thing was, although it smelled kinda funny up close. He took one of the torches off of the wall and put it down across the ground by the stairs as he took out his last knife and began scraping, hoping to create some sort of spark to ignite the torch, sort of like the sparks produced by the boy when he ran up the stairway. And lo' and behold, a spark would ignite indeed, small at first, but furiously growing until it lit the torch and illuminated the darkness with light. And with that light came the horrible screeching once more, as the sound of parting air gave way to the sight of a not so normally large bat. An extremely red-eyed ugly, stinking bat. And it was attracted to the light.

He stood there for a moment, having gotten up after lighting the torch to stand up straight on the stairs, letting his eyes adjust to normal vision with the light. And then he saw it.
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Time to get away from it. And so, the swashbuckler extraordinaire would begin running down the stairs. He didnt care if the bottom steps would seem slippery from the seawater, he just wanted to get away from that ugly thing that suddenly appeared.

Sutiiven walked along a small spit of sand that separated great cliffs to his one side and the sea on his other. It was a pleasent day, and he was walking along chatting idly with another man that appeared about his age.
"Ahhhh... I tell ya, this is the life." said Sutii, putting his hands behind his head and looking out into the ocean.
"For humans like yourself maybe. I prefer the mountains and skies myself." calmly replied the boy's travel companion.
"Hey, just because you can fly in your true form..." grumbled the swordsman.
"Dragon jealousy, perhaps?" cooed the polymorphed Silver Dragon happily.
"Bite me, Ornisk."
"Don't tempt me."
"What's taking Dame so long anyways?"
That was the true purpose of the man's standing there - he had challenged his friend to a fight. Though as he thought about it, challenging a lightning elemental to a fight on the beach wasnt the smartest move. Oh well, that's life.

Damrius stared at sutiiven from behind. He had followed him here almost, and tried to keep as far as possible from his senses.
Mmmm. So, who's Ornisk? From what I caught, a dragon? Or dragon spirit?
Damrius pulled in a charge, preparing for the match. The beach might give him an advantage, but the sand would work against him. He might be able to heat it up enough to turn it to glass, but that could work two ways.
Sorry about being late. Suprised you didn't notice me earlier though...

[1] "ERK-!"
Sutiiven didn't jump, but he was startled slightly. His face then grew slightly exasperated.
Despite being a Silver Dragon, Ornisk could be a little cheeky at times. Ah, the joy's of being young still...
Sutii turned around, and knowing that Dame would probably already be starting the fight, he drew his twin blades and began the charging process himself.
"Yeah, he's a dragon. A Young Silver Dragon, to be exact. Nice travel companion, but, uh, can be a bit of a trickster despite the usual rep of Silver's being more of a serious type."
"I think I have a Bronze Dragon in the bloodline somewhere."
"Anyways, let's get this fight started already." said Sutii with a smirk, shifting into an en-guard position.

Damrius Grinned. His eyes were lit up with joy, and for once he wasn't wearing his sunglass. Or his white suit. It was a suit of a brown leather coat, and leather pants. Most leather pants were restricting battle, but these kind were used for battle purposes, as was the coat.
Everything else was practically the same. His armor was showing, his gloves where underneath the sleeves, and the sword was in it's usual spot.
Hrm. Well, bronze/silver is all the same to me. However, i'm not in the realm of calling you all overgrown lizards with wings anymore... Learned that the hard way....
Damrius pulled in another charge. Following that charge, two circular objects appeared behind him, one blueish white, one black. They were commonly referred to as Ball lightning. Very dangerous, and unpredictable. But these were obviously controlled.
He drew his sword, and brought it up into a defensive stance.

[2] "... I'm not sure whether I should take that as a compliment or what. Just be glad it's not in my nature to hurt people." "You gonna be standing there yackin' the entire time, or are you gonna give me some room?" "Oh right, sorry."The dragon then walked a short distance away to watch the fight idly. Meanwhile, Sutiiven was already trying out some new tricks. Quote: Energy Swords: Sutiiven activates the special enchantment on his swords, causing them to alight with a flame like aura of energy, increasing attack power. Can be canceled at will. (Spiritual Ability). With a quick muttering of some words under his breath, the weapons became alight with energy. "Now I won't have to worry about the Silver becoming a lightning rod - " "Say what?""Not you, you idiot..." "Oh."" - AND it adds to the damage. Just like back in HoH." said Sutiiven. "You wanna take first strike or do you want me to?"

Damrius lunged foreward, pulling in a charge, as Sutiiven and Ornisk were having their little talk. Swining his sword side wasy at sutiiven's, he would use that was a way to get the swords out of his way, and thrust a side kick into Sutiiven's arms. His boots were steel toed, as they always had been.
If the hit landed, it would probably give Sutii a dead arm, not literally, but the kind of numbing pain. But, sutiiven was strong, and Damrius had never really seen his full strength. Who knew?

[3] Distractions we're a pain - fortunately, Sutiiven had kept his eyes on Dame the entire time - one did not need to look at someone to talk to them. He smirked, and easily blocked the weapon with one blade, then came straight down with a counter attack using the open weapon. Only a few people had faced Sutii with dual weilding swords before, but he was a force to be reckoned with - especially when the swords were flaming.

Three figures looked on as the couple did battle, the wind from the sea gently blowing across their forms and causing their white capes to flutter. The tallest of the trio spoke and looked down below... It would seem even in the Lands of Man there are fighters who possess magical and elemental strength... And this one appears to have made a pact with a dragon no doubt...It is interesting to watch these two fight, wouldn't you agree? It looks as if the other is pulling energy from the lightning elements for his attacks. I can sense the energy within him...But what drives their fight... Fighting without a reason is madness...Hmm, you forget that not all warriors fight for a reason... Some simply fight for the thrill of battle. That seems foolish...Perhaps... But who are we to judge that which we do not understand...Perhaps a test is in order...? We shall see what drives these people... You two will watch, I will test...With that, the tallest armored figure jumped from the cliffs to the sand below, off to the side of the two fighting warriors. If they were paying any attention to what was around them, the appearance of a stranger would easily stop their fighting... Much less a stranger who suddenly brandished a large weapon with energy already within his body...
