"H-Hey.. wait, where are you going?!" His hand would come clamping down onto Raven's shoulder, even as he heard Tellus' voice. "Well.. I..." He sighed, getting ahead of himself once more.
"Where are your kids..?"

eek meru... *well that was interesting, stopped in her tracks." D..Durem... or at least that is where we left them, at my clinic 3nodding
*she blinked at him surprised that he had stopped her, she kept forgetting that Vahn was not exactly the same person as Kas. Kas would have let her leave, secretly she was very happy that Vahn had stoped her, this was all getting interesting now...*

"T-Tellus... what about you?" He faced her now, realizing how mad he must be sounding at the moment. "Are your children in safe hands?"
He didn't know what to do... nor how to do it even if he did know.

He had a very unsettling feeling at that very moment... someone knew he was here, and it wasn't just Hono. Of course, she would know. He definitely had a link with her- he did it on purpose, to keep tabs on her. He didn't remember any kind of link with anyone else, though... and the little red-headed bird brain was insisting that he of all people take care of her children. It was something he could do, and honestly wanted to, but she had more influence.
It was a fact- hell, a statistic. He was a collector of stats.
He would get her back to Durem, and leave everyone else here. Of course, he would also have a talk with Vahn before he left- a magpie calling him brother, she said. He had seen most of the battles that Vahn had been in- and was definitely keen about his brother.
But this one... this one was all too familiar.
It should not be possible... and if it is, then I am truly weak. She should not even be able to penetrate my first line of defenses- It would be a pebble against a diamond wall. Then why... is she linked?
Then he remembered... and almost screamed in frustration.
Damn you, Evan! Leaving me this... tch. And why are you asking me to take care of your children? I'm not worthy or anything near competent enough- and besides, they hate me. I won't protect anyone who loathes my very existance- it's strategically unsound. It was a promise that should not have been made- and he, the damned fool, made it, without consulting me about it! So why ask me?
Because Evan was gone. He was part of him now.
...Fine, I'll go back. But Hono is coming with me. So you'll have to put up with me for now.
He was so irritated that he snapped his fingers to vanish into thin air. It was something that was highly audible, which he did not want at the moment. Well whatever- they would have found out sooner or later. With the very air as his cover, he headed back to his room in town...

He leaned against the remains of a wall, his head lowered to the ground. Yellowed eyes stared out, even as he sucked his teeth in frustration.
"Raven... I'm sorry. I really don't know what Victor's planning, but it can't be good. Are you sure your children are safe, as well as Tellus'?"

*Hono sighed and looked down for a moment* Do you remember a time when my life was not my own Kas? I served my Lady for longer than most people would believe was possible, and in return she did her best to protect me... well I guess you can say that now my Lady protects my children... she is not what she used to be, but now she has my hot temper wink , that makes up for a bit of the power, for she is quicker to act.
sad I will go if you can convince me that my children need my help, because as it is they do not feel like they need my help... and honestly, you look like you could use an old friend who is rather hard to kill 3nodding *Rave was trying to act light of heart, but she was starting to wonder if this was a good idea. She could tell that Bren and Sam did not think they needed her right now, and she was almost certain that Kas didn't really need her... in fact that was the entire problem of late, Rave needed to be needed by someone, at least for a little while longer.* Besides, Night's children are quite capable of taking care of themselves in a tough situation... and Tellus's children are even more so...

"I..." Tellus started; pausing for a moment after the word was spoken. She took a step back and shook her head, eyes widening slightly in fear. She had been so sure of their safety, but this... Every mother was just a little paranoid about her children, and Tellus was a far shot from an exception in this case. She had thought- no, she had known them to be safe from harm where she had left them, but at the threat from Victor a seed of doubt had been placed in her mind.
"I'm sorry, I have to go!"
Without another moment's hesitation the black haired woman turned on her heels and ran back towards the tent, waving her hand in front of her quickly as she did; calling up air, water, and spirit to create a portal. In another instant she was gone, and the portal had closed behind her, leaving only her footsteps in the dust behind.
(( Go beat Vahn. He's the one who issued the strategic retreat for offline patrons. ))

It was a few days later before he crested the rise that overlooked Strata.
He stood in robes that had previously been too large for him, and were now cut down to size. Hands in pockets, his strange eyes took in the new building of the walls and various gates that had been destroyed. They also took in the rows upon rows of freshly dug earth that also occupied much of the space outside the town walls.
Sunstrike heaved a sigh and walked down the road to the city, sun shining off human hair and pale skin, he was back to normal, if what he was were ever to be considered as such.

He kicked off the wall he'd bee leaning against, a hand running through locks of hair, which weren't looking quite so red anymore. His natural hair color was startiung to show through once more, due to stress.
"If you beleive their safe, then fine." He watched the spot Tellus had just been occupying before, turning his head to the side once more.
"I suppose we should go about finding Sunstrike now. Things have finally seemed to calm down here." For how long is anyone's guess...

"Wow...your job's turned out easier then expected." Came the soft answer behind them both. "Hullo Hono, been keeping well?"
Orange and Red eyes surveyed them both as Sunstrike crossed his arms over his chest, head tilted to the side. It'd taken him only a short while to find what he was looking for, the answer residing in Hono's pocket.
Even as he spoke the small imp shot out of his place and into Sun's hand, dissappearing with a happy squeak and a puff of smoke.

eek Aaah...*Hono, couldn't help but to squeek in surprise as she spun around at the familliar voice and the sudden movement of the imp from her pocket* Oh my goodness sweatdrop you scared the heck out of me Sun....
*Raven chuckled a bit nerviously as she happily looked her old friend over.* Um... xp I missed you?

"...Sunstrike...?!" Talk about your awkward moments.
Vahn stood there, for a long stretch of time, without even saying anything. He'd felt a mixture of anger, as well as uselessness when he had found out from Dain that Sunstrike had vanished. He wasn't going to lie... he had feared the worst.
And maybe...something else.
His eyes closed, holding back something he wasn't sure he could really contain. A feeling of pure relief flooded through his system... his body relaxing. He's alright... he's alright.
