Shino sighed. Kiba had a point. A lot of people were wearing odd outfits and going up and knocking on doors. They would scream 'Trick-or-Treat!' and they would get candy. Shino grabbed Kiba's hand, "Ring the door bell of that house and say Trick-or-Treat. You should get candy. It must be a holiday or something. I'll go with you, just in case."
The doctor led Kankurou and Kiba to the emergency room that Shino was in. He led them into the sanitization room and helped them clean up before bring them into the room, "Just try not to get in the way of the doctors."
Shino lay there, mumbling. His eyeballs rolled in restless sleep, yet, he couldn't open them,"Kiba....Kankurou...no..." his finger's twitched. He grunted quietly before continuing,"Don't leave me here...please." Tears started falling down his cheeks. One of the doctors mumbled something about upping the dose before continuing to stitch a gash in his side. His fingers twitched again. The beeps his heart monitor were making started speeding up. The doctor that had led Kiba and Kankurou there furrowed his eyebrows. "He's probably just having a nightmare." the one who was stitching muttered as he continued his work.

Kiba eyes lit up and he nodded. "Let's go!" He pulled Shino up to the nearest house and rang the doorbell. When the door opened the guy who was standing in the door way growled. "No candy unless your under ten." and slamed the door in their faces. Kiba pouted. "Guess that didn't work."
Kiba got as close to Shino as he could, leaving Kankuro where they had been standing. He was barely able to reach out and grabbed Shino's hand. "It's ok, Shino. I'm right here. Calm down."

Shino frowned. What a jerk. Well, he could fix that. He formed the proper hand signs, "Transformation Jutsu." he mumbled. Shino's body formed to that of a twelve year old. He walked back up to the house and rang the doorbell, waiting for the man to open the door. Once he did, Shino kicked him in the balls and took all his candy, "Trick or treat, b***h." he said in a low tone before walking away and transforming back into his normal state.
"Kiba?...No, it can't...You..." Shino's heartbeat rapidly increased and he started convulsing. The doctors rushed around, stick tubes here and things there, "Hurry! We're losing him!" one of them shouted. Shino coughed and blood dripped down his mouth. The doctors rushed around some more and the tube that had been inserted into his mouth to help him breathe started pumping out the blood in his lungs. "Get them out of here!" another shouted. Shino's eyes shot open and he immediately shot into an upright position. He ripped the tube out of his mouth and coughed. Blood splattered the sheets, but, his breathing regulated. Once Shino could breathe again, he sucked in air like it was going out of style, despite the protests from his body, "Where the hell am I?" he wheezed.

Kiba grinned at Shino and grabbed some candy. "Nice job, Shino." He opened one of the candy bars and took a bite out of it. "Want some?" he held out the bar to Shino.
When the docters said they were losing Shino Kiba gluped and his brain just went around the same thought over and over. No. He can't be dieing! No! Shino! No...no.... when one of the docters started pulling Kiba out of the room Kiba struggled, refusing to leave. "NO! I'm not leaving him alone again!" He pulled away from the docter and run to SHino. He hugged him, crying, "Shino..."

((Mid-afternoon. Wow, people are trick or treating early! F.Y.I. Naruto is still on top of reality Sasuke.))
Shino shook his head, "No thank you." He handed the bowl to Kiba and put his hands in his pockets. He sighed and looked back at the house. He was out of view from the man on the ground, but, he still wanted to make sure. The last thing he wanted to do was get in trouble in a world he knew nothing about.
Shino patted Kiba on the back and made a noise that sounded like a mix between a squeak and a grunt, "Kiba, that hurts." he said, his voice straining to still sound at least slightly happy. Because, truly, he was. Despite being hit by a car. Shino looked at Kankurou. He feared what he would see. He didn't want to see that glare, that anger that frightened him so.

"We should see if this happened to any of the others. and try to find some way to get home." Kiba muttered as he licked his fingers after finishing the candy bar.
"I don't care. You're alive. I was so scared you weren't going to make it. I'm not letting you go!" He pulled imself onto the bed with shino and moved slightly so he wasn't holding onto Shino as tightly as before. he rubbed his face against Shino's neck, making sure he was real and alive.

What Shino saw in Kankuro's eyes wasnt the glare, but... worry, pain and fear. Kankuro looked to the ground a moment after Shino had looked to him and frowned. He wasnt jealous that Kiba was fawning over Shino... He wasnt upset over anything like that. He was scared that Shino wasnt going to be okay, despite the fact that he was awake and sitting up, right then. He was worried he would never see him around school again. He was in pain because both Shino and Kiba were.
"Kiba." His voice was rough, and sounded as if he were about to cry. "Let the doctors finish helping get Shino fixed up so we can visit him, later..." He didnt glance up... just stared at the floor.

Kankuro shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked aimlessly, practically to nowhere. Of course, everywhere was nowhere, as he had no idea where he was in the first place. There were brats everywhere dressed up in freakish costumes that made him want to push them all over, and he probably would have, if there werent adults around. "Agh, Who cares?" He grunted to himself and gave a menacing smile. Unknowingly a few houses away from Kiba and Shino, he pushed over a kid as he walked, giving a bit of a satisfied grin as he heard the boy cry. "Brat." He grunted.

Kiba blinked and nodded, slipping down from the bed. "I'm going to be right over there. SO don't worry." He muttered to Shino before walking over to Kankuro and taking his hand. "Thank you, Kan-kitty."
Kiba blinked. "I think I just heard Kankuro...great." He rolled his eyes and sighed, still staying where he was, eating the cnady.

Kankuro nodded, though he remained looking at the floor. He ignored the feeling in his eyes that told him he was about to cry, as well as the sharp pains in his side from having moved too soon after his own surgery. The only times he looked up was to watch the doctors, and look at Kiba's hand in his own as he gently squeezed it. He hid the tears by not looking at anyone long enough for them to see...
Kankuro looked up and stopped as he heard a familiar voice, and saw two familiar people. "Great." He grunted. He watched them as they continued towards him, a sudden, strange lump in his throat, and an uneasiness. The uneasiness only grew when he remembered that he had no clue where he was... Nothing struck him as familiar, besides for the two walking towards him, and that bothered him....

Kiba sat down and pulled Kankuro with him. "You should get some rest too. You're also hurt." He whispered, ignoring the tears silently running down his face.

Shino watched them leave and he fell back onto his bed. He looked at the doctors around him and closed his eyes. He just wished this had never happened. Why did life have to be so damn complicated? He knew Kankurou liked Kiba and he knew that part of Kiba liked him back. Why was he still interfering with their lives? He was sure that the two of them would be happy together. Happy without him barging into their lives. The doctors continued working on Shino and his mind seemed to null the pain. Once they were finished, Shino was rolled into a different room. He had a place next to the window. Shino carefully turned his head and watched the setting sun.
Shino saw Kankurou and frowned behind his high collar. He hadn't exactly had the most substantial relationship with the Suna ninja. He let Kiba pull him closer and he stopped when they were in front of him, "At least we aren't the only ones." he said quietly to no one in particular. Why he and the puppet master had had continual conflicts with each other, he had no idea.

Kiba waited by the door in the waiting room, making Sure Kankuro was sitting down the whole time, untila nurse came up to them. "Are you two here to see Mr. Aburame?" Kiba nodded and the nurse smiled. "You can see him now. Follow me." She led them to Shino's room before leaving them at the door.
Kiba knocked on the door and looked in. "Shino?" He ran to the other and hugged him again. "If I can't get hit by a car niether can you, got it?" He tried to joke but had started crying again.
