Tamu-jitu, seeing that his father had caught up and there was no point in trying to escape further, just stopped suddenly and sat down on his butt. "I really didn't mean to," he repeated, hoping that his dad would believe him even if his brother wouldn't. He had said he was sorry!! Wasn't that good enough just for Denahi to calm down? He sighed, guessing his brother was more different than he had thought.
"I didn' meant to.." he said once more, this time lowering his head and beginning to cry a little. This was just unbearable. First the Voice went and started toying with his life, then his brother threatened him because the Voice had made the brown cub attack the black one. It wasn't fair!
"Stupid Voice," he murmured, forgetting momentarily that Asi was still there.

Asi shifted, shoulders hunching a little. He thought he was no good at the whole comforting thing, but this was his son after all. he moved foward and scootched Tamu closer to him with a large paw, purring slightly. "Aye, I do know it no be yer fault.." He trailed off when he heard something about voices.
Oh gods, what was wrong with his family? "Voices?" He asked, gently trying to coax Tamu to tell him. Though he probably wouldn't. He blamed Ari for any weirdnesses in their children >_>

Sighing, Binti shook her head. Had she ever REALLY been this young? "You're quite scary, really!" she murmured. Perhaps to genets anyway... unbidden, the thought flickered through her mind, prompting a small, secretive grin. "Anyway, just keep quiet until we find something-and don't get lost, you hear?" she instructed, already beginning to slink into the tall grasses.

Holy mothers of crickets! Asi had heard him say that?! Bad, bad Tamu for letting it slip. Now his father wanted to know about this 'Voice' and, quite frankly, the cub didn't know how on earth to explain it. It wasn't like he could just come right out and say 'Hey, Dad, I heard voices today, what did you do?' That would be just plain stupid and he would definitely sound crazy!
"Nothing," he tried to say, but knew that he would have to let it out sooner or later. Well, he had told that other cub that had seen the eyes watching him and seemed really jumpy because of it, but then again that cub didn't really believe Tamu-jitu. He called him a liar. Well, he wasn't a liar!
But he didn't want it to seem like his father's comforting wasn't working, so he nuzzled his face into his father's fur then rested his head on the large paw. He was scared, but tried to look calm on the outside.

"I won't get lost, I am the great BIG HUNTER." Runako's voice increased as she left him standing there, and with a gentle n** on Dakari's ear, he was boucning off after Binti with his tail held high above his head.
Dakari followed, but with a great deal less bounce in his steps.

Okay, so maybe she really DIDN'T want cubs. But...he was so darn CUTE...and he was managing to keep track of her--always a good sign. This one might make it, yet. Genet, indeed. Snorting, she continued forward, her entire body held low to the ground as she listened for sign of antelope...or any other prey animal that'd be likely to have young at this time of year.

Runako pranced, bounced and danced behind Binti, only pausing for important things- Such as a piece of grass that had tickled him, he had to bite it's head off. And a couple of noisy bugs that had inturrupted his prance with Binti by jumping in front of him...
They were both now very colorful splatters on the savvaah grass, after Runako had jumped up and down on them several times as he told them off loudly.
But he never lost sight of Binti. Nearly never. After all, Runako was a young cub, and young cubs like him needed excitement!

 At her smile he gave her a larger one in return, the sunlight glinting from his pearly teeth as he bowed his head a little higher and twitched the tuft of his tail.
"Panya." He did so love to say her name, "I can tell you from experience that the Pride lands is a wonderful place. There are many cubs there too at the moment who you can be friends with and play. Perhaps you'll get to find out how hide and seek is truly played."
He lowered his muzzle, rasping a tongue along the top of her head before getting to his paws and shaking the dust from his fur, pausing only when he had to sneeze.
"I'm not yet part of the pride officially however. Permission is needed, so perhaps we can ask the King together? It'll make the experience a lot less scary." He grinned.

 A soft purr started to rumble from Panya's throat. Moving closer she looked up at him, ears pointing towards him as she listened. "That sounds great" She was a lot more cub like now then when he had first met her, begining to get the normal playful bounce back.

"Well that's settled then!" He said cheerfully, "we'll go together." He hadn't realised just how much he had missed company, being surrounded by others who could help him through hard times. He needed friendship as much as this little cub did and perhaps that was why he had decided upon this course of action.
She needed to be around others her age, and he just knew that this would give Maawio a good impression. He was a true family man at heart.
"Well then, we ready to set off?" He began at a slow walk, happiness suffusing him as he noticed the change in her personality. That was more like what a cub should be like. A rumbling purr emanated from his throat as he turned to glance up at the sun. Yes...the world wasn't all bad.

She nodded happily, tail swishing from side to side. "I'm ready!" She used her back feet to leap from the spot she was standing and bounded after him, catching up to his long strides fairly easily. Once caught up she set herself at a swift trot to make up for her shorter legs.

Nodding slightly, Tamu whimpered to his father. Things weren't going well for him right now, and this had only made him feel worse and more depressed. "Does Denahi hate me now?" he asked, sort of outta the blue. He sure hoped his brother didn't hate him, but if he did, that would only give the brown cub another reason to run away. And, now, it was as if he hadn't even heard Asi ask if things were better now.

Drawing in a deep breath the male lion walked relatively slowly, not wanting to go too fast in case she tired. It wasn't very far now, and even from here he could see the border. He had travelled for a good few days now to get back to Maawio and he couldn't wait to see her again. What would she think when she saw him with a cub at his side?
He cast a side-long glance at Panya, smiling softly. There was still so much kindness, so much innocence about her and he suddenly realised just how much he wanted a family of his own. Even Asikari had cubs now and it made him feel a little sad that he hadn't stopped to seriously consider it before. Just watching Panya made him realise that being a dad was something he didn't want to miss out on.
"You move pretty quickly for being so small." He teased lightly, licking at the graze on his nose once more.(( let me know when you're ready to move into the pridelands n__n not sure whether you want anything to happen on the journey there or not. ))

Having almost abundent energy because of being a cub, she kept up with him pretty easily. Maroon eyes gazed around her at the new surroundings. At his words she looked up at him, almost causing her to trip over her front paws but she caught herself before her muzzle hit the dirt. "I had to learn to be faster" It was then that she noticed the small cut on his nose. She slowed slightly and looked up at it. "what happened to your nose?"((I'm ready to move over to the other thread ^^))
