Oh my gosh this is so horrible. If anyone remembers, the steam pipes cracked in our band room last month or so which caused us to lose a crapload of music.
Then we got a new school a few days ago. Wednesday night the pipes burst in our new band room. The floor was covered in three inches of water. Two baris and a tuba were on the floor, as was all of the music Mr. May had just taken from the symphonic band. The music is thrashed. They had to tear down the practice room walls.
Yesterday in symphonic band he apparantly started crying in class. I wanted to cry in wind ensemble. It was so terrible. We get to have class in the cafeteria for now. crying

thats really bad. My school had a black out on the second to the last day of school before christmas holidays and we had to play our instruments in the dark. That really stunk. Though we did have an extra day of band.

SullenFever98 Awww that's horrible. Your band rooms are haunted... Thank you everybody. heart Actually, I was joking with some friends in biology that the new school was built on the burial ground of someone named Barnebee who is now angry. I hope that I'm not right. Well, we're still playing, so I guess that's a good thing. On another note, my cello friend and I had to play at a senior center yesterday. It was so scary. We couldn't find any duets, so we played piano music, or cello/violin duets. I'm still nervous about it.

On the radio the DJs were asking people from my high school to call in and tell them about our 'ghost.' It has to do with our janitor that died. His name is Oscar and during every event in the auditorium like pep rallies and stuff the seat all the way at the top of the stands over in the corner is pushed down but no one's in it. It's a stupid rumor, and then the teacher goes and tells us how there's also vaults beneath our school and every now and then a stupid kid goes in them and gets lost and stuff... yeah...

Hey. I've only been playing flute for about a year, but i've been playing music for nearly 12 years on clarinet.
i'm a biology/zoology double major, and i do a lot of sciencey stuff, so playing music is what really keeps me grounded and sane.

Hmm, I think I'm allergic to our temporary band room. Every time I go in there, my nose starts itching uncontrollably. We had our first basketball game that we had to play at last night. Both the boys and the girls lost, but it was really close, and we were playing against the hardest team in our league. But enough about that . . .
We're playing a whole bunch of songs with awesome flute parts. It is soo fun! We have Molly on the Shore (grade level 6! scary) Incantation and Dance, Spoon River, and Children's March. Three of the four are all by the same person too.
It seems that we're gonna play these with the college's wind ensemble next month. (Even scarier.) I also get to write an article on the band for newspaper (ick) that means I get to interview May (joy). That seems to be all.
