wtf? that's the second time the gaia dice gave a 20 on a nearly pointless roll, these things are sadistic As you look around, you notice that most of the places that serve food you would eat have "humans only" posted on them. All the other restaurants are rather dingy looking and broken down, like most of the other things the humans don't have to look at. You do find some street vendors, however. One sells large meatballs on toothpicks, another sells kebabs, and the final vendor is selling some kind of fried object on a stick, it's impossible to discern what it is under the batter, though.

You find a rather nice looking tavern called Eric the swift's. It's run by a man with a large red beard who's as wide as two barstools. He seems to be a vastly oversized dwarf more than a human. He looks towards you as you enter and says, "what'll ya have?"

...odd combination, but I've heard weirder ones from the people in my animal crossing village. Eric says, "that's 35 silver pieces" and walks back behind a door on the back wall of the bar. He returns later with a tightly rapped package of paper, it seems to be the days newsprint.

100 sp per gp.
You find a single bench which hasn't been destroyed by the mages, it's sitting next to a small shop for potions. It appears that there were several other benches, but errant spells destroyed them, leaving piles of rubble.

The castle appears to be on a rather large hill overlooking his kingdom. It's several miles north of the town square, and vastly isolated from it. By the looks of it, it would take you about 5 minutes to walk from here to the castle.
