Nadyrr saw the kick coming toward him and instinctively brought his arm over to block himself. With the swift movements he slightly spread his legs so as to not lose his balance.
"Alright, I'll counter now." He mutters a little and with the arm that didn't block moves to punch Kallisto in the main part of her body. He moves smoothingly and with force, the practice had taken a more serious air to it or at least a less playful one. It was more like sparring would be and less like learning how to move.

She couldn't keep a small smile from growing as her kick connected. Adjusting her balance, she attempted to block the punch Nadyrr had sent her way, ducking underneath his guard to throw a punch of her own, aimed at his gut.
It was true, their practice had taken on a more competitive tone.

"Grave, would you like to go first?" Aysel asked quietly, falling back into her defensive stance and watching him warily. She wouldn't be caught off-guard, not this time. She was determined to at least match Grave, if not beat him...though that didn't apply to just this. "I'm ready when you are."

Grave nodded solemnly and tightened his fists. He slide one foot forward to give himself a more stable stance and thought quickly. With a quick dart of his feet taking him a foot diagonally forward he shot out with his back hand, swinging the punch down overtop of Aysel's poofy sleeves and aiming for her chin.

 Aysel, though she'd thought she was ready, still gave a small squeak as she tried her hardest to block Grave's punch, closing her eyes as she waited for impact. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that she really, really didn't like this...but she wasn't about to back down, not now.(( 10/10 ))

 Grave's expression was nothing but calculated as his punch connected. The angle, the trajectory, all these things regestered. There was none of the gluttonous glee of success he had dipayed in the arena. This was not about personal gratification, this was about perfect the skills to fight. And this was why, a moment after his punch connected, Grave stepped back and said softly. "That's worth two points. Go ahead, Aysel. Give me your best shot." He raised his hands and readied himself, moving lightly on the balls of his feet.

Ubel squeaked in surprise, before grinning sheepishly at Mathiaz. "Sorry about that," he murmured, stepping back a bit. "Okay... you wanna go ahead and try an attack?"

Aysel winced a bit, but was relieved to see that Grave wasn't crowing in success. "Thank you.." she murmured, placing her feet so that her weight was more evenly distributed. She bounced a bit, eyes flicking over her opponent- her classmate, she corrected herself- and looking for an opening. After a moment or two, she quickly shot her fist forward, trying a different angle than her first in hopes that it would be more steady.

 Dariyn actually giggled at Morrow, "I think I'm distracted enough, Love, without clothing removal..." Yes...must not molest your lover during class time. Bad idea, that. "So...I go first?" He felt a little quiver of nervousness in his stomach at the thought of actually attacking the Melancholy...but that was what they were here to do...so here goes nothing. Thus saying, he threw a kick at the other's midsection, having to actually focus to keep his eyes open. "And you will eat, Morrow!" It was halfway a promise and the other half a threat.

Morrow was caught completely off guard. He oofed some and fell back, catching the other's foot, but feeling it connecting with his stomach all the same.

Dariyn blinked, hoping he'd done that right. "You ok, Morrow?" He inquired hesitantly, seeing that the other was still on his feet and not doubled over in pain, he smiled and beckoned, "'Tis your turn to come at me..."
