Age: 27
Name: Jessica
Picture:
Location: Midwest US
Why I joined this guild: Because I love to write and read fiction (well, I love Nonfiction too, but that's beside the point)

About Me: I'm married to a great guy and together we have a 15 month old daughter - chibi bibliophile. We live on a small farm with 15 chickens, one dog and a massive book collection. I'm a bibliophile, though some say I'm a bibliomaniac. I don't think I've slipped quite that far... yet wink

I love books, love love love them. My favorite authors are:
Bill Bryson
Paulo Coelho
J.R.R. Tolkien
Annie Dillard
David James Duncan
Margaret Atwood
Gregory Maguire
Nick Bantock

By joining this guild, I hope to meet other people who are interested in reading fiction.

Thank you for having me!

Hi, I'm Kimberly in Seattle. I'm an avid reader and I hope to find intelligent conversation that doesn't degenerate into pointless bickering. See you in discussions ^_^

Good luck. For that, go to our Writer's Corner subforum. It's pretty interesting in there.

Hello! I am Elisabeth Shumway, and I love books. I have more bookcases in my house then pretty much anything else, and they're all stuffed. I live in Utah at the moment, I am married and have two kids, and I read whenever I have free time (which isnt enough). Some of my favorite authors are Anne McCaffery, Mercadies Lakey, Elizabeth Moon, Andre Norton, Anne Logstone, and many others. Oh, and Im new, lol.

rolleyes Guess I should post something here now, eh? Better late than never:

Hi, my name's David Shank, but most simply call me Shank.

I'm a writer, guitarist, lifeguard, builder of miniature balsa wood guitars, caffeine-addict, lover of classic rock, condemner of (most) modern rock, and an avid Counter-Strike player as well (login is guitarshank007 btw)

That's really all that I have to say... I'm a well-practiced writer who has a lot of tips to give out, so if you want any suggestions, advice, or critiques you know how to reach me razz

I love reading and writing. I used to write articles for the website Anti-Shur'tugal, but recently quit. I love the founders and am still good friends with them; I promise that they're sweet people. Their writing board has helped me tremendously.

I'm going to look for some sci-fi recommendations in this guild, and contribute to threads about books I've read. Already, I've seen a few threads that look interesting. I'm a sci-fi newbie, but I'm craving the genre. :3 Nom nom nom.

Greetings and welcome *dramatic bow* I am NovaKing (king of the dying stars >.> <.< when losely translated)

I've not read many books in my life time but I plan too, I hope that's enough for my participation here. I'm primarly a writer (though one who can't spell too well) Which means I may be spending more time in the literary forum than any others. I hope you don't hold it against me ^_^

I began writing through a curious cycle that led me onto writing and enlightenment, dissolusionment, enlightenment, uncertainty, science, and then writing again. And I don't quite care to elaborate because the cycle suffices nicely.

What got me back into writing was collaboratives, but I've never finished any : ( save over AIM and that was with a long lost friend (thats a story for another time.)

To this day I search for people who are willing to go beyond RPing and actually string together a story with me. I even have a set of mechanics which I set up a bit ago which I think will provide the good foundations for a collaborative story, but I've never been able to find a steady partner to write with and thus I've never been able to test out the mechanics.

I'm currently in another guild where I write frequently, but it's full of girls who don't quite like my pragmatic, logical, and up beat attitude and often get very annoyed with me, or either ignore me completely.

I have a few poems to call my own, and some short and long fiction in the works.

...in short: hello, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance! -dramatic bow-

Name: Nicholas (but you can call me Nick if you want)
Picture:I don't take pictures, somethings always wrong, my eyes are red in the pic, but not one program says they are.
Location: Middle of nowhere, NC
Why I joined this guild: I'm trying to be a bit more social, and I thought this place would be a nice place to start.
What I expect out of this guild:I don't really expect anything, I'd LIKE to make a few new friends and maybe work up the guts to have my writing read and critiqued.
What I expect out of the Crew Members of this guild:Just do your job I guess. You've got the word crew beside your name for a reason, just don't neglect that reason.

That's all I have to say I suppose. if anybody has some questions, feel free to ask I suppose.
