Jeremiah had heard Shun but there had been an incident with Shiloh deciding he needed to go and Chris and-

He was rubbing a hand across his face, head tilting to look towards the Sergeant. "At a later point, we can talk. After the paperwork and the discussion I'm going to have to have with Chief Edwards." It was an answer to the previous thing. "... also after I recover for a couple days at home."

Mostly because while he only had a couple injuries, he was barely standing. His back hurt so badly it was ridiculous. Never mind that being physically touched would probably reveal just how cold he was.

"As for an answer to the second question ..." Jeremiah turned a blue-eyed gaze to Shun. "Yes, they can find a way and, if not, I'll go myself." He sighed and leaned towards Algie a moment because the other man was warmer and he was cold. The detective lieutenant straightened up because there would be officers and who knew what else coming up soon. "Something to discuss later."

At that, Shun just nodded once. A few days sounded good at the very least. However, he was not looking forward to all of the paperwork this whole thing was going to generate.

He also didn't have anything to say as far as Jeremiah going into that place himself to drag there others back out. He took a step forward as Lady collapsed, though he stopped there. With the portal gone and all the were folk out of the area, he turned back towards the stairs.

"All clear," he called down,"we have several wounded who need treatment. "

Including himself, not that he stated that.

America ran to go get that glass of water. Fortunately she knew just were to find some cups. Carefully not allowing herself to look too closely at anything in the conference room, the girl was back within a couple minutes with a cup of water for the lady Jeremiah was tending.

It felt like kind of a small, pathetic thing to offer in the face of well, magic portals, but it's all she could think to do at the moment.
