The kiddo pawed through the box. Well, he had thought this would basically be a game of dress-up, and so far he sure hadn't been exactly wrong. The pickin's were slim, though, and he didn't understand what looked 'good' and what didn't.
Except for maybe the chaps.
Those were just terrible.

Pip hadn't been ready for the cuteness that was gerbils. He had carefully assembled his team, doing his best to pick out what he felt were the 'best' ones and failing miserably as he picked them for their tiny and adorable little personalities instead. They were so fuzzy, and rolly-polly, and...had someone said something about being able to keep their teams once the competition was over? The orangeblood could have cried. Aside from his cluckbeasts (who really mostly cared for themselves), he had never had a pet before.
As the contestants readied themselves, he headed over with Phlox to find which team he was up against. A blue team! Pip couldn't help but snicker at the ribbons they had bedecked the teams with, and gave Phlox a cuddle before gently rolling him up, as they had been instructed to do. He was a little worried about hurting them, but they were squishy little creatures, so it wouldn't injure them, right? Not really interested in the obtusely bright sandals and socks, Cebass decided to look through the bin again. He wasn't too fond of much of anything, finding most of it rather boring until he came across Fuzzy (+1 whimsical) Moonboots (+2 vintage)
Which he found to be a steal. How could he resist? They were so fuzzy after all!
It was then that he decided what he was going to do for the show.
