Crawling after the Charmander, she wanted to stick close. perhaps... once the ghosts finally left them, she could try and talk to Leirsa... apologize for her harsh words? Sylva wasn't even sure why she cared so much, she'd only known the Charmander for a short while... had they already made a special kind of bond in that small bit? She hated the thought that she missed the little lizard tugging at her pants... the cute look in her large blue eyes.... Why was it so hard for her just say it now? 'I'm sorry, Leirsa....'

Several voices slid into Sylva's mind, making the woman look all around her. The ghosts all seemed to have their attention on Leirsa, and not her... then who said those words? Why? Sylva's gaze ventured to Leirsa again, now standing in the pouring rain, another ghost in her maw, this one puffed into a cloud of purple smoke. Sylva looked back, they'd completely left the cave. Crouching down she quickly scooped up the three balls she'd used to capture some of the ghosts, then returned to following Leirsa.

"Shut up!" For the past... however long they'd been walking, the voices echoing through the woods persistantly got louder and more and more cruel. Leirsa had handled yet another ghost, seemed easily enough with whatever move she'd taken to using. But despite Sylva's occasional calls, the Charmander just wouldn't turn back to look at her. How could a cute, innocent one like that be going to hell? Sylva was definatly going when her time came... but not Leirsa.

Sylva clenched her fist, keeping her eyes on Leirsa.. She wasn't going to give in. They were just trying to distract her. Make her lose sight of Leirsa? Was that what they wanted? No... She'd follow that Charmander to... to hell and back.

At last.. leirsa finally came to a stop. The ground below her feet sizzled as rain fell over where her bodies heat was reaching. The lizard stood, surrounded now by ghosts of all types, some of which were new to Sylva... well they were all know, but she didn't see the same ones Leirsa had been fighting before. The lizard's tail swung from side to side as she looked to either of her sides, she then turned to face Sylva... at last.
But what Sylva saw... was not the same Charmander she'd met at the lab only a few days ago. Her eyes were.... blackened.. they looked... hallow....dead. "Lei-"

"CHAAAAAAAR" Leirsa suddenly roared into the air, The voices stopped for a moment. Leirsa's gaze was still dead on Sylva.... The red-head collapsed,to the ground. "Leirsa I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." "CHAAAAAAR" She roared again, this time setting off running, her maw open wide.... tiny razor sharp teeth was all Sylva was focusing on... she'd accept it.. She deserved to be bitten. She felt the Charmander on her body, she closed her eyes, but.... no pain. Opening her eyes once more she saw Leirsa in her lap, clamped down on something. Turning her gaze she saw it was a... Sableye. "Tiff---" No... It wasn't tiffany. It was a different Sableye. Was that.... was that who was putting the voices in her head?

The Charmander seemed determine to attack anything that moved. She'd even turned her gaze back to Sylva a few times, when the red-head tried to get back to her feet. Each time she stopped moving, the lizard turned her attention on a moving ghost. The red-head eventually decided to just pull up her hoodie and watch in horror as Leirsa kept fighting. She couldn't even get up to heal the Charmander anymore... not like she needed to. With that attack of hers, she was one-shotting all the ghosts. They weren't very strong... low level ghosts attracted by her tail flame... Didn't make Sylva worry any less.

Thinking back on the Sableye that had attached itself to Sylva.... she wondered where her own Sableye was. Where was Tiffany? And all the ghosts that were surrounding them... why did Leirsa go after the one attached to Sylva? Was there.... was there still some hope? That Leirsa didn't completely hate her? It didn't accrue to the red-head that the Leirsa she knew was gone... and that perhaps... the angry spirit of the Charmander had possessed it's own body and now wanted to be the only thing that hurt Sylva... She moved her head down to the ground when she noticed Leirsa looking in the opposite direction, finding the entire ground below her soaked.... Leirsa's heat... Right! When she'd attacked the Sableye.. her body wasn't hot anymore... Lifting her eyes, she saw no sizzle coming from the Charmander anymore. So she'd finally got the whole Heat Wave thing under control? Lifting her head once more, she continued to watch Leirsa as best she could.

There was just so many questions flowing around in Sylva's mind. It made concentrating on the battling hard to do. She didn't want to look away, but as it was, she couldn't really watch any longer. Lowering her gaze once more to the ground below her, she closed her eyes, trying to drown the sounds from her head.... the rain... that was a good thing to focus on... It made it easier for her to think, if only a little. None of her other Pokemon had come out from their balls.... and come to think of it, where had Rolex gone? She couldn't feel him nearby, and she didn't dare look around, for fear that Leirsa was looking her way. Well, if he was there, he was standing just as still as Sylva thought she was. The red-head couldn't even feel her legs anymore, let along half her body was freezing. She was shivering, but she couldn't really even feel that, aside from the slight chatter of her teeth.

At least the sounds of the fighting were dying down. It made focusing on the rain far more easy. The soft patter of rain hitting the trees and the top of her hood... it was calming. She spoke, thinking it was another Sableye. Low and behold a Sableye appeared no far away, floating by on a upside-down trash bin. 'Don't go...' It repeated. 'Walk away.' "First you tell me to go, now you want me to walk away? Make up your mind." Sylva's eyes narrowed. The ghost then pointed back towards the way Sylva had come. 'Go that way. Stay away from the light.' Sylva stepped back. Stay away from the light? Did that mean? She turned her gaze to the doorway once more. Now a silhouette stood in it's frame, that body... She couldn't see the face, but she knew that body.... That was. Without hesitation she started walking back towards the door. 'No.... Don't go...' The Sableye tried to reach forward, but found a dark blast of energy vanquish it. "That's it, Sylva. Come... Join me. We can be lovers once again..." Suddenly her eyes burst open, and she felt her lungs cling to air, choking her into sitting upright. She doubled over once more, hands on the ground, she still couldn't feel her feet, but as she rose up, know on her knees the blood started to pool back into them. She looked up, finding Leirsa's tail flame mere inches from her face. Something however... seemed far... different about it. It was darker, but still translucent. Seeing the tail shift, the red-head looked up, finding Leirsa had indeed evolved, and with the last ghost in her maw, the lizard bit down on it, vanquishing it as she'd done the rest. The lizard's black eyes held a beady white orb within them... Sylva felt her skin crawl when their gazes met. The lizard then turned and got down on al lfours, bringing her maw before Sylva's face, both black eyes now locked on her own. "Lei...." The red-head started, but cut herself off after seeing the blue flames that were dancing out of the corners of Leirsa's mouth. "L-lei... Please...." The lizard snarled, growling something that was as if to say 'run' Sylva didn't know why at the time, but her body took control of itself, and quickly she got to her feet and began to run... well, stumble and bash into every tree in the forest. She didn't dare look back, she already knew.. Leirsa was chasing her. If it wasn't for her slightly slender body, and Leirsa's more bulky body she'd of likely been caught long ago... luckily though, the fog around them was breaking, and the soft glow of a light illuminated the entrance to a building in the distance.. a silhouette of a person walking caught Sylva's attention. She didn't care who they were, she needed their help. Rushing as fast as she could, she burst from the woods, and found herself pretty much in the arms of Luca. Sylva couldn't of been any more glad to of run into her.

"Sylvaaaa!" As the rain came pouring down in the thick fog, Luca had a hard time finding her way through the dense forest. She'd lost her traveling companion in the strange mist right after it set in, the cloud becoming so thick that she couldn't even see in front of her. She'd tried catching up with the redhead before she disappeared, but unfortunately, it got her nowhere. But, that hadn't stopped her from looking for Sylva, at least as much as she could when she could hardly see her feet. She called out for her while she could, but as time went on, she only grew more worried.
Priscilla had done a good job both protecting them from the rain, and warding off the loose specters that would've otherwise threatened them. She had a loose barrier set around them, just something clear that would act as a psychic umbrella, of sorts. It didn't do much to keep them warm, though, and the swordswoman had to keep on the move to keep her temperature up. She still had to be wary though, with the rain opening up sinkholes every so often, and the occasional wild pokemon that would still make a mad dash by her just to reach some shelter from the rain. Watching them, she could only hope Sylva found somewhere to hide out at until the storm passed.
Somewhere along the line the young woman drew out her sword, keeping it at the ready as hungry, crimson eyes stared back at them from the darkness. It had her on edge, but none dared to approach her, and she kept her focus on finding Sylva in the strange darkness. But, eventually, the downpour seemed to thin, and the fog parted until it completely lifted. Without realizing it, Luca found herself at the edge of the forest, between it and Pewter city. She blinked a few times, surprising herself that she stumbled towards her destination. But, she had no intention of exiting the brush alone, and turned back around to go find her companion. She opened her mouth to call out, but as a figure burst through the treeline, she was cut off.
When the redhead finally returned, she came at the swordswoman so fast that she could've toppled them over, if she had some more meat on her bones. "Sylva?" Her free arm wrapped around her companion reflexively, only now realizing just how thin the girl was from the bones she could feel through her hoodie. Luca was just happy to find her, though, letting out a breath as she looked down at her. "I was starting to get worried there... What happened?" She shifted her gaze between Sylva and the brush she came from, still hearing something moving around, as if it were chasing the younger girl. She tried to shift her stance a bit without her companion noticing, slowly putting herself a bit more between it and her.

She hadn't entirely thought she'd run into Luca of all people, but given she hadn't really seen many other people before they'd gotten separated, it made sense. Regardless of that fact, Sylva was glad to of run into her. If not for the fact that she could use the woman for a meat shield. The red-head held up a hand, pointing towards the grass behind them. "L-l-l-lei-leirsa i-i-i-is..." She trailed off, trying to regain her composer. It helped that Luca offered more body warmth then Sylva could, though she did feel uncomfortable being hugged like she was, Luca had to feel it now... the truth Sylva hid away?
Regardless of all that, the rustle in the brush behind them grew louder, Sylva practically tried to climb up into Luca's arms to get around to the woman's back. The, Leirsa emerged. her blackened eyes had... changed? Sylva caught the lizard's gaze, she seemed, different? Yea.. Like, she didn't look blood thirsty anymore. 'Char?' She grunted, lifting her body upright to take in the two humans. Something wasn't right... a moment ago Leirsa looked like she was ready to tear anything that moved to shreds, specifically Sylva, but now... She seemed docile, as if she was unaware of her past transgressions. "L-lei.. are you... back to normal?" Sylva asked, calming herself down some. The lizard cocked her head sideways, a light 'char' escaping from her maw. Then, the corners of the lizard's lips curled upward, as if she was trying to smile? No... This had to all be a lie...Sylva was sure, Leirsa was gone.

The older trainer only seemed more confused the longer Sylva had returned, only slightly becoming more coherent while in her companion's arms. Luca could practically feel the heat from her own, previously dry body rushing to transfer into the redhead's. She must've been out in the rain the whole time, she thought. "What is it? What happened to Leirsa?" It was rather odd that the little Charmander wasn't beside the trainer, now that she thought of it. The purple lizard was practically attached to her leg for a while, she didn't want to think what must've happened to make her so terrified. Unfortunately, she didn't get much in the way of an answer--Just more of the younger trainer being terrified.
Unsure as to what was going on, Luca decided it was best to just be ready, shifting into a position to more easily defend the redhead if need be. It would've been a bit easier without Sylva scrambling to hop into her arms like a cartoon dog, but she... Tried to adjust to that too. Even Priscilla grew nervous, sensing something dark and ominous behind the shrubbery. But, when the rustling stopped, there was something of an anticlimax.
Instead of some vicious, snarling beast, instead was just a dark-purple Charmeleon, with all the killing intent of a hampster. There was a small moment where Luca kept her stance, but she simply couldn't stay on edge after seeing the dopey lizard's face. The swordswoman was fooled well enough, instantly recognizing the evolved lizard as Leirsa. "Oh, good, you had me worried there for a second Sylva." The woman let out a nervous breath, chuckling a little as she relaxed and let her sword come to rest, using her one free arm to warmly pull the redhead a little closer. "Well... I"m sure a lot still happened, but this isn't the place to talk about it. We're right at the exit, and you're completely drenched, so let's move onto the Pokemon Center so you can change before you get sick. We can talk more after that."
Unfortunately, while Luca didn't seem to catch the seam of the mask, her Gardevoir's senses were a bit sharper. That ominous foreboding she sensed from before the Charmeleon arrived was still radiating off of her, and Priscilla couldn't help but be unnerved at all the negativity pouring from something with such an innocent face. She couldn't pry deeper, and frankly, didn't want to, only trying to shrink back behind her trainer as Sylva had done. While it might not have been on the same scale, the psychic shared that underlying fear of what was hiding behind that goofy smile.

There was a whole bucket of wrong going on at that moment. Leirsa, Luca... Sylva... But the red-head listened to the woman's words. Looking back she noticed they were indeed in front of an exit, who was to say which exit it was.... but anywhere would be better than here. "A-alright...Let's go." Sylva pulled herself away from Luca some, giving the swordswoman some room to finally move freely, while Sylva took the lead, but... more at Luca's side this time. Leirsa followed behind, her gaze fixed on the back of Sylva's head for the most part, devious little thoughts floating around the Charmeleon's head. The lizard apparently paid no mind to the Gardevoir nearby, So long as the psychic fairy minded her own business, Leirsa had no reason to pick on her. After all, it was Luca she wanted.
