Ellise scratched her head "Eeeh.... well I haven't heard much from any of them. It is like we are all doing our own separate thing right now," she said with a small laugh as she glanced at the door frame. She seemed to realize something then and looked back at The Reaver "Oh! Do you want to come in?" she asked, stepping to the side.

==== ☠ ==== The Reaver gave a smile. "I was wondering if you were gonna ask me that," he said teasingly before stepping in. It was a decent apartment; he remembered it from earlier when the Machinists had busted in. "Man, a battle in here would really rip the place apart. Wonder what would happen if I transformed?" He joked. He turned and looked back at her after moving to the middle of the room. "So...did Shira move out then?" He asked, recalling something about that the last time he was here. "So is it you and....that other chick? What's her name? And by the way, isn't she a Machinist? You remember what a serious threat those guys were in our world and they don't seem much better here. Why are you guys letting her stay with you?"

Ellise shut the door after The Reaver walked in. She gave him a look then "We just got done fixing the place up after everything that happened with the Machinists. Please don't," she said as she walked back over to the couch. She sat down and moved the notebook she had to the table. "Shira's home finally got done being rebuilt. I guess her father wanted her to move back there so now Naomi and I are the only ones staying here," she explained. Ellise raised an eyebrow as he talked about Naomi "Yes she was a Machinist. After everything that happened though, she decided to get away from that," she explained. "She was one of the survivors and she ended up losing a lot. I mean she lost her home and some precious loved ones. So after everything, she was pretty depressed. Shira took her in though," Ellise said. "She made mistakes and she is realizing that now and wants to change that. I am not going to treat her like an enemy still because that doesn't solve anything. Besides is is really nice."

==== ☠ ==== The Reaver frowned slightly. "How do you know that isn't a ploy then?" He asked. "It's just you and her here by yourself? What if she's just faking you out and waiting for the right time to strike? She was Saint Clara's second in command, right? How do you know she's changed so quickly?" He stood in the center of the room, not moving to sit down as he peppered her with questions.

Ellise frowned "Shira said after everything happened, Naomi fell into a sort of depression... she is kind of still getting out of it. I have seen a lot of people and I have caught on and can tell when someone is making that sort of stuff up," she explained as she stared up at him. "You can't fake certain emotions, even if you are a really good actor. Besides, even if she was faking, she would have done something by now... and I would be able to take her."

==== ☠ ==== The Reaver shook his head. "Don't don't know that," he told her, the slightest hint of anger creeping into his voice. "She was an enemy only a week or so ago. And don't try and say "So were you" because I never was. Ellise, you can't just assume she's on your side. What if she tries something? What if she attacks you out of the blue and I - uh, you couldn't protect yourself?" He asked, letting his true emotions and intentions slip for a moment.

Ellise frowned again as she heard The Reaver speak. The frown lightened up by the time he was done talking when she heard his slight mixup in words. She was silent for a moment before walking over so she was just in front of him and placed a hand on the side of his face. Ellise stared up at The Reaver for a moment before smiling "I will be alright. Trust me."

==== ☠ ==== The Reaver stayed quiet as Ellise reached up and touched his cheek. His angry expression finally dissolved into a worried one. "But...." He gave a sigh. "Just be careful, okay? I-I can't....I've been looking out for you for so long but..." he finally fell silent and shook his head. "I don't even know what I'm trying to say," he said finally.

Ellise nodded up at The Reaver "I'll be careful. I promise," she told him. "If Naomi does happen to be fooling me, I'll show her whose boss. I did manage to fight off Death from Europe for quite a while and I am positive they don't have augmentations for angelic wavelengths in this world," she said with a grin in an attempt to cheer him up.

==== ☠ ==== The Reaver nodded slowly. "Not a lot of angelic beings around here," he replied, seeming to slowly be relaxing again. "I guess that gives you an advantage. Still, you remember the augments back in our dimension. The ones here are only a fraction of their power but they're still dangerous no matter who you are." He reached down and put his hands on her shoulders. "But yeah, you're tough. I probably shouldn't worry so much. But...there is a lot to worry about."
