Fini received a thumbs up for being cool people. He she lost it by going to help Finn and Lina. Sigh.
Very halfheartedly Jack followed suit, spiting her with a lackluster attempt at the mermaids.

Glancing to the group nearby, Milo realized they were possibly trying to do something. Perhaps. Maybe. Stormy gathered her wits about her now that things were winding down. With a nod to those distracting the mermaids (well, everyone except Jack), Stormy booted forward to the heart of the group and released her charge. Even underwater the acrid oil made her shudder, and somehow or another the acid still ignited for a brief but powerful explosion underwater. The water churned and bubbled as multiple mermaids disintegrated; blood began to taint the water, sending them into a frenzy. Oh boy. Stormy HP: 41 + 11 defense (Fini/Finn/Jack/Milo) - 5 AD - 17 recoil = 31 BOSS HP: 103 - 31 = 72 AWW YEAH 10 AD TIME FOLKS

And Finn kept defending Stormy because she was, actually, stronger then him, as much as he didn't want to admit it. She would really be the one better off beating on mermaids right now. Noticing Stryker was starting to flare up again, America grinned fiercely and spun him toward the mermaids like a massive glowing bowling ball. Her form was excellent, but the mermaids were less than impressed. In fact, something had changed in their attack, making them wilder to the point of seeming completely feral. The Sun trainee was taken aback and nearly taken out by their counter attack.
She'd definitely underestimated these opponents.

Okay now that was just bad a**! Fini gave Stormy a double thumbs up, having moved out of the way when she attacked.
Oh and hi Finn! She was here now, see? And Jack hadn't been a complete douche!
Fini chose to continue protecting Stormy as best she could.
Except Finn was now a distraction, obviously.

Sigh. Finn, Fini, stop distracting each other. Jack decided defending Lina was not his style and swam off to strike at the frenzied creatures going for the Sun trainee who had Tried (tm). Gesturing lazily in greeting, he swung and got them off her tail. Yo~ How about trying that again? Defending America for: 6 freedom points

The power of friendship was not to be belittled. Neither was being backed by an Eclipse team. Invigorated despite still being able to feel the acid ooze on her shield (or maybe that was just water), Stormy needled forward like lightning. The greatsword felt light in her hands from the adrenaline as she cut down a few more mermaids. The blood made her only minutely queasy in this state. HP: 28 (7 defense from Team Fininnininni) Damage: 12 Charge: 1/3 BOSS HP: 60

So there was blood in the water. That was a thing now. And apparently the mermaids were going crazy because of it because ya, keeping them off of Stormy's back was becoming quite a lot harder and why hello there Fini.~If Finn could talk under water, he could have told her it wasn't Jack he was worried about, but her ******** safety, and the fact that he should have been the one to be watching her back, as he told her he would. It was more a matter of pride, then anything else. Jack? He trusted the man...mostly, at least. Giving her a smile, he couldn't do much more then that as all of his concentration was instead focused on not becoming mermaid food. He'd already been eaten by one monster, and one was enough. With all that he had, he was swinging his lance in wide arcs, attempting to keep the bitches back while Stormy did her thing. HP:22 Target: Stormy Defending for: 6 Charge:used~ Mermaid HP: 60

Fini huffed and moved to block some more mermaids from reaching Stormy. Because honestly, she didn't have much left in her to do much more than that. And the other hunter still seemed to have some kick to her.

Compressing her lips at her last miss, America came to a decision, Stryker reluctantly agreeing. Her accuracy was pretty much shot, but she didn't have to be entirely useless to the fight. OH... so that was what she was doing and... that's what happened as a result. In Power Rangers terms, the monster got bigger and now they would need their megazords, huh. Well. Milo gave a sheepish little grin to Cass, she had a lot more power to her, huh? (And more.. uh... hp), so he shoved his hand out to do a messily little block at a mermaid and.. hoped she took this as an invite to show her awesome power.

With the second charge, and the sudden rush from the mermaids, Harrison aimed the main sword at himself, then Rep, tugging the trigger. His own broke, disrupted, the spill of mermaids fierce, but Rep's held strong.

Despite the crackling barrier around him, Rep simply couldn't gather up sufficient fear underwater to get his second charge off. Perhaps he'd maybe over-spent with Problems earlier.
