Lloyd gave her a small kiss on the cheek. Rocking her gently in an attempt to put the girl to sleep, he returned his attention to the more pressing matters. "Lilith, I have to agree with him, you're a target like this. I know you mean well, and I know you'll prove me wrong out there, but I refuse to put you and our child in harms way like this. Reason with me this much, wait till this child is born. We'll have your armor readjusted, and you'll be able to fight without the slightest chance of child related hinderance."

"Not entirely true. What if birthing the child cripples me? I've known women who take weeks to recover from childbirth." Lilith replies no less defiant than before. "Besides the blessing of my goddess (did we ever name their deity?) has looked after me this long, I'm sure they will continue to do so in the coming fight. Now quit your yapping, we got riding to do..." Saying a quick goodbye to baby Roxanne and Scarlett, Lilith slung her bag over her should and waddled out the door to where their horses waited,

(How about Verity? Its the name of this statue you ought to take a look at out in Ilfracombe.) "Woman, you are the most!" Lloyd cooled down before she had his blood boiling from pure frustration. Given his abilities as a blood knight, that was probably a bad idea. He groans, Lilith was not going to let this one go at all. Rather than continuing to try, he called it quits. Getting packed as well, Lloyd said his goodbyes to Scarlett and Roxanne as well. Keith simply gave a respectful bow, unsure of how to say goodbye to Scarlett. She had left an impression on him, but he couldn't help but feel it was one-sided. The two males headed out and met with stubborn Lilith. "Ready to go?" Asks Lloyd.

(Sure, that name sounds great! And toss me a link to it please? My internet here comes and goes like the tide so link would be faster than having to search for it.) "Just about..." Lilith replied as she strapped her last bag into place on the back of her horse. "Now to just figure out how to mount up..." she muttered to herself. While she had been sure to maintain and care for her war horse during their stay at Scarlett's, Lilith had not been riding since her belly began to swell. Now nearly nine months pregnant standing beside her trusty steed she remembered why. "Lets try it this way..." she muttered, attempting to mount as she normally would only to be obstructed by her belly. "Alright then... this way." Another failed attempt... and another. "Goddamn it..."

Lloyd wasn't sure who to feel sorry for the most. Lilith for all her failed attempts of mounting up, their child being jostled about in her womb, or the poor horse having to deal with the added weight. Come to think of it, Lloyd had not recalled Lilith ever riding after she started showing. "You really didn't think this part over, did you?" He shakes his head.

"I'll have to admit... no I did not..." Lilith answers, slightly winded from her various attempts to mount her horse. And although she loathed having to ask for help, she looked at the ground and did so anyway. "Will you help me get on my horse? Please."

Lloyd groaned, it was too much to ask for her to give up on this quest that easily. "You know my answer is no, but you'll make me do it otherwise. Keith, give me some help here..." He asks the fellow knight. Keith was thinking similar thoughts to Lloyd concerning Lilith's boldness, but assisted anyway. It took the combined strength of both of them to haul Lilith up onto the trusty steed.

The horn of the saddle dug into her armored belly slightly but not enough to cause her or the baby any pain. But if she was any bigger, she'd have had to ridden her horse side saddle. Glad to feel the familiar weight of his rider, Lilith's horse (who should also have a name but doesn't) adjusted easily enough having been used to carrying armored humans, a pregnant one was just a shift in center of gravity. "Ready when you are." the expectant paladin declared.

(You and your love for rock music, I swear) Lloyd thought she looked ridiculous. Making sure she was okay, he turns to Keith to motion for him to saddle up as well. Once they had, Keith took the lead and led the trio onward to Blood Valley. Four day's ride she says, they had to take account any hinderances or enemy encounters along the way. After all, the bandits didn't exactly like Lloyd in the past few months using them as stress relief.

(Honestly I never really cared much for Aerosmith but just this part of the RP made me think of that song.) While most the trip was uneventful, on the beginning of the third day it seemed the bandits had gotten wind of their movement and reacted accordingly... by coming out in force in hopes of killing the source of their troubles. Needless to say moving that many people was not subtle. (I forgot if Lilith was aware of Lloyd's bandit slaying or not so if I'm wrong correct me and I'll fix the post.) "Careful guys." Lilith warned, pulling her bow from her back and resting it across her thighs. "We got a large amount of movement in those trees over there." She nodded to a stretch of trees about two hundred yards off the road to their left.

(I do not believe Lilith has ever known about the bandit slaying.) "Could be just a nocturnal animal..." Keith suggest to his two companions. It was common for the wildlife to be active in this area. A bolt whizzing past his other suggested otherwise. "How many animals you know are capable of wielding crossbows?""Okay, so maybe not."That said, Keith brandishes his sword and shield. "I'll stay in front. Lilith, you pick them off while we are still at a distance."

(She might have coaxed him into telling her what he was doing during the day, but then again she might not have cared as long as he was doing 'good'.) "Thats alot of bandits for just three travelers..." Lilith comments, positioning her horse behind those of her allies. Needless to say, her horse didn't enjoy this change. Being the mount of a paladin, it was used to being in the thick of things, not watching from the sidelines. "Shh shh..." Lilith said, running a gloved hand down the horse's neck to sooth it. "Its just temporary." Nocking an arrow, Lilith awaited the impending charge from the trees.

(Can Gaia please let me post again now? >< Tired of reposting this.) "Well, I may have something to do with that..." Lloyd began to chuckle nervously. All the time they spent here weeding them out from the surrounding area contributed to the issue at hand. The blood knight wouldn't be surprised if they were planning this ambush for months. Once the trio got close enough, the bandits strike by leaping out of trees and bushes with knives at the ready. This would be over in a second had it not been for Keith being present. A little blood knight tricks would have done the trick. For now, Lloyd would have to be content with defending himself and Lilith with swings his sword.

(*hugs*) Keeping her distance, Lilith peppered the bandit ranks with arrows, one after another. Many of the shots were not fatal but they were distracting enough that her companions could finish the job. Lilith's horse (who is still in need of a name xD) likewise protected his rider with iron shod hooves lashing out at any bandit brave enough to approach the expectant paladin.
