❧ What an amusing child. He looked her in the eye, and had not at all flinched when she spoke. It almost made her day better immediately. And so, Harusame decided at that very moment: this was a good candidate. If she was to have a team, she could almost say with confidence this one just might make it.
As long as they are not dead, Haru-tan... As long as they are not dead...
The Nara Kage's voice from this morning's meeting chose that moment to echo his warning. She almost made a face, mentally brushing away the reminder with irritation. Yeah, yeah. She knew the village were shortstaffed and could not afford to lose the next generation.
Even though she was not blessed with the Mokouton, flowers seemed to grow in the background as she replied with great happiness to Akio's offer.
"Okay Fudou-kun~! Anyone but the laggard on Nawanuke!"
Again, she was so...blunt. But it was true! Why will she come all this way to see someone who was the only one of his class stuck on a lesson? Such a person would never make it with her!
They were approached by a Hyuuga: despite the fluidity of her turn to observe the new child, it was a sharp movement that was not characterized by grace, rather by force.
She smiled at Takami.
"Glad to meet you! Fudou-kun will be showing me around! Will you care to join us?"

Fudou was slightly taken aback when the background seemed to shimmer and the sun seemed to shine brighter when Harusame answered. Was this another Senju ability?! No matter. If Senju-sama didn't want to see Pakku (ouch... but Fudou was still smarting from Chisana's actions, so it wasn't as if he was that disappointed on the Inuzuka's part) then he'd bring them to the throwing range. Completely unaware of the explosion he was about to set off, Fudou led the group to the general area. He stopped at a distance and pointed out the students standing there. It was then that Fudou realised he barely knew any of their names. Oops.
"That one is Yae," he said, pointing at the one person he did know. "I think the pink-haired girl is an Uchiha." He quickly realised that this tactic was going nowhere. "I'm sorry, today's the first day of class for many of us and it's the first day we were all put together, so I don't know that many people yet. We can go closer if you like." If Yae or Shirogami saw him speaking so nicely to this woman they'd probably throw a fit or burst out laughing but it wasn't like he cared so!

She listened eagerly as Fudou-kun explained to her of the situation... But! Even though he didn't know many of his new classmates, he was trying! And effort counts...
"You're doing well." She reassured him.
Meanwhile in the courtyard, it was growing increasingly difficult for him to pay attention to the children talk. An unbidden shiver shook Uchiha Akeru's body. What...could be the reason for this...sudden chill...? For some reason, the chill was very...foreboding. He was almost beginning to wish he brought along an extra jacket, but that was strange, considering spring weather was never known to be cold. There was something...no definitely something unsettling...
Did a disturbance just enter the Academy...?
Even long before that falsely sweet voice spoke out first, his stomach began hurting again.
Oh no...
Oh no, oh nonono. This must be a horrible Genjutsu. It can't be her.
"Ah! That's Aki-chaaaan!"
With that said, she launched his way.
Grapple: 1d20 + 85 + 14 (Taijutsu Skill)
To attempt to escape would've been futile. To attempt to struggle would've been equally hopeless. He had been on the field long enough to recognize an impossible situation when he saw one...
And so, he remained standing there and took the force from hell like a man.
BUT... BUT WASN'T SHE BANNED FROM COMING IN PROXIMITY WITH CHILDREN...?! Protested his brain even as she squeezed the oxygen from his body with that deadly vicegrip.
Why, Shika-jii-san! Why?! What had he done wrong!!!

With the steadily increasing number of people in the training arena, Amaya pulled further and further back into her little shell of introversion. People were talking and scurrying about the yard now. Some were eating lunch and it seemed like all of them were having some sort of conversation with someone. It was slightly overwhelming to the child, but she would simply have to tolerate. After all, this was something she was going to have to work through if she was going to become an effective shinobi. It would do no good to cower simply because someone started speaking. No. However, she was going to take the time to observe her classmates since she hadn’t had enough down time to as of so far in the day. Slowly but surely she was catching onto names as well. The black haired girl noted etiquette, or lack thereof in some cases, and general habits that her classmates were slowly presenting. Soon enough she would get to know them well enough without being dragged into a conversation. However, until then she would be content being the quiet one.
The Keiji’s observations were abruptly stopped when the conversation switched to Ko-sensei. While the girl didn’t want to talk badly about her teacher, she also couldn’t defend him. What he had done was on the dangerous side and the tape was questionable once everyone was in the room together. Was it necessary to keep them quiet after all the pupils had been tied up? Yae had a decent point with them not being able to flee in case of an emergency, but then again life wouldn’t allow such luxuries. It was a slightly conflicting issue for the girl, but not so much as to rush to his rescue; especially since she believed he was in the wrong. Amaya wondered what Ko-sensei would have them do next. However, that thought didn’t last long when she saw the ever growing frown on Akeru’s face. Standing next tom him made it fairly plain to see. What was he going to do about it? With what information she had been given, the child knew that Akeru outranked their sensei. No matter, it didn’t concern her whether or not her sensei was reprimanded for anything. He was an adult after all. He should be able to handle it.
Thank goodness she had finished her target practice when she had because things were becoming weird. Out of the blue, some random woman came and latched herself onto Akeru. Aki-chan…apparently she knew him well. This woman wasn’t exactly kind or gentle and Amaya watched as her new friend was being crushed, after she had taken a half step back to make sure she avoided the flying female. The small girl was slightly taken aback by the woman’s chakra, losing Akeru’s in its immensity. However, that still didn’t mean she could continue crushing him like that. ”Hello, Amaya started softly, turning her body towards the woman and giving a gentle bow. She hoped that being addressed would convince the woman to clamber down. Welcome to the Academy training arena. I am Keiji Amaya.” The child’s smile was still as kind as it had ever been and she simply prayed silently that she would be able to help Akeru out of his…compromising predicament by engaging the woman.

Hyuuga Takami ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Takami grabbed the medical scrolls he had checked out for Fudou, running to catch up to Fudou and the Senju girl, coming up next to Fudou and setting the reading down next to his feet, and then reaching into his left thigh pouch and taking out his own personal notes, about to talk to his friend when suddenly the strong girl attacked the other ninja, the one that he assumed was a chunnin or Jonin. His breath caught in his through as a thousand questions ran through his mind. What should he do? Should he say something? Should he just turn away? But he knew he couldn't just let the kid die. A small girl with black hair spoke to the Senju as well, though she was trying a different tactic then he had planned, the boy let her finish, and then started talking, "Senju-sama!" the boy said forcefully, but the warmth still in his voice. "I don't know what he ever did to you, or how he hurt you, but you can't just kill him! I mean his face is turning blue!" he finished, looking her in the eyes, trying not to stare at the ground or turn away and run. "If you want to strangle someone so bad, take me. I know for a fact that he's way more of an asset to this community than me!" knowing fully that if she did actually take him up on the offer, she would probably end up snapping his neck with her brute force.

True to Hyuuga's words, Akeru was indeed turning blue. He would've gasped out "Hime...mercy..." had he been able to form those words, mind you. Nope, no such luck. Harusame-sempai wasn't generous enough to even leave his stomach enough room, and the contents of his lunch was beginning to head up the wrong way.
He was feeling sick. Very sick. In addition to the fact he was in a lot of pain.
Even if the Uchiha fledgling didn't think so, she did let her vicegrip of an embrace loosen a bit as she was addressed by a small girl.
"Kyaah~ So small! How cute!" She gushed over Amaya, instantly taking a liking to the small girl. This child was probably one of the youngest among her classmates! How darling! Absolutely darling!
She squeezed the unfortunate victim in her arms tighter.
The Hyuuga boy protested, and Harusame stopped, blinking slowly once, before she looked down. Akeru's weak twitching had wholly disappeared, his expression dazed.
"Ulps!"
She let him go, and watched as the blue color of Akeru's face quickly turned green.
"You ok, Aki-chan?"
"M-my a-apologies S-senju-hime..."
With that, looking very sick, he clamped a hand over his mouth and dashed into the building. Presumably for the lavatory.
She watched him go.
And then, she shrugged.
"He'll be better in no time~" She cheerfully told the horror-stricken children.
But to Takami, she smiled. A gentler, sweeter smile this time.
"That's very brave of you." She said. "Defending an eseinin so early, huh?"

Yae had managed to fade into the background, something she wasn't particularly opposed to. She watched the others talk, half-attentive as she thought. Normally she would be finding some way of making progress, something productive to do. Lately she had fallen into a slump though, and right now she was content watching that Amaya girl practice. When she had first moved into the academy she had been super stoked, but somewhere along the way she had lost her motivation.
So the young man was an Uchiha, here to survey the potential graduates? Did that mean he was going to be a team leader? Suddenly Yae felt nervous. Speaking of which, why did he seem so nervous? How could someone so nervous lead his own team?
The wind carried a distant voice close enough for Yae to hear, but not discern. She turned to look. It was Fudou, the Hyuuga she had seen in the classroom, and some strange woman. Before Yae could react the woman suddenly sprung, shouting the Uchiha man's name. She moved with a predatory grace unlike anything the young shinobi-in-training had ever seen. The newcomer tackled the man, squeezing him with the effortless grip of a boa constrictor.
Who is this moron? "What the hell is going on!?" Yae shouted, turning to face Fudou and the Hyuuga as if they would know. She pointed behind herself, as if they couldn't figure out what she was referring to. Her voice cracked; something about the whole scene had caused her to become irate.
Now the Hyuuga kid was offering to get strangled instead. What would strangling anyone accomplish? Was something making everyone suddenly stupid? Wait, did he say 'Senju'?
"That's a Senju?" Yae mumbled to herself, doubt dominating the tone of her voice. The only thing that seemed to support that statement was her black hair.

Kuuya Hamasaki ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
He took the scroll gratefully, holding it lightly before him in an almost reverent fashion. "Thank you, sensei," he said with another deep bow, made even more awkwards than the last by the fact he still held the scroll in front of him. "I shall learn this will all due haste, and catch up to my peers OR DIE TRYING!" He belted out the last few words in a loud voice to lend the necessary emphasis to his proud declaration. Then he abruptly spun about in search of a good location to begin working on his first shinobi lesson. He bounded across the room towards the nearest open space, ignorant to any reaction to his recent outburst. For his mind had already skipped ahead to the task before him, and his body would simply have to catch up when it could.
As he found a suitable location to begin his work, Kuuya began simply enough by setting up his station for a quick and easy completion of his task. It was his heartfelt belief that he was made for this shinobi life, no matter what his upbringing and family standing. He just knew this knowledge would come easy but he was cocky to the point of slacking off. No matter you're skill you still needed to set-up your station properly that being said, his first task was to spread out him scroll across the desk so he could read it's contents without using his hands. Once done, he began with the Snake handseal.
As expected the Snake seal came to him like a bee to honey. One moment he was examining the instructions, the next he was actually performing the seal. It was really quite simple, all he had to do was intertwine his finger in away that was close but not quite the same as one would do when clasping their hands together for ordinary school classes. Except when you clasped your hands normally, there wasn't normally any sort of mystical feedback or chakra resonance or whatever one cared to call the feeling of rightness that filled him at the moment of completion.
[Roll = 1d10 + -1 = 19 - 1 = 18 (Pass / Snake Complete) ]
He swiftly moved on to the next seal, the Tiger. However unlike the wild predator for which it was name, the Tiger seal wasn't that difficult to master. In fact Kuuya was able to move swiftly from the Snake seal to the Tiger seal, by only moving his index fingers and flexing his palms. By extending his index fingers upwards so that inner part of each upper digit were nestled up against the other. This caused the chakra resonance to fade but once he expanded the gap between his palms by a little flexing and outwards stretching, he felt the cool tone once more.
[Roll = 1d10 + -1 = 18 - 1 = 17 (Pass / Tiger Complete) ]
Then came the Goat seal for as anyone could see by now, Kuuya was moving in a non-linear path but one more likely to succeed. He moved from one similar seal to the next, such that his knowledge with the previous seal would aid him in his efforts to perform the next. The Snake and Tiger seals were almost identical, but the Goat was bit more difficult. From the Tiger seal, he had to not only raise up his middle fingers along side his indexes but also snake his right pink around his left so both it and his right ring finger rest above those on his left hand. It required a bit more finesse than before but still do-able in fairly quick and easy fashion.
[Roll = 1d10 + -1 = 19 - 1 = 18 (Pass / Goat Complete) ]
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Lesson 1: Learning the 12 handseals Description: Kuuya must now learn, memorize and execute the 12 handseals, with the outmost perfection. Hyuuga Takami ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The boy look happily upon the small, black-haired girl, smiling warmly at her braveness, her actions driving Takami to protect the Uchiha, and then Senju, looking down at her hostage, let go of the boy and as he quickly took off towards the bathroom, Takami figured all too well who this women was already. Wait.... did she just call him brave? He didn't have time to register it before another girl spoke up against the Senju-Princess. "What the hell is wrong with her?" his eyes narrowed, well if you could even call it that with whole eye being white and all, turning to face Yae. "More like, what the hell is wrong with you? Do you even know who she is? A Senju, Konohagakure royality, and on top of that, the most skilled Taijutsu user in the clan, heck, the most talented Taijutsu user in the town." he turned back to the Senju, "Did I introduce you properly, Harusame-Sama?" hoping that his humble introduction didn't offend, one of his few idols in the village. He turned back to Yae, his face kinder now, done with his ranting, "I'm sorry," he said, his eyes dropping to the floor, "I didn't mean to yell at you, I... I just found it disrespectful for you to yell at such a prestigious ninja. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me."

Yae disregarded the apology. She wasn't going to drop it until she had the last word, or at least what she considered her say. A taijutsu expert? A meat head. That made sense. She sneered at the Hyuuga, annoyed by his unnecessary outburst.
"What's wrong with me? Nothing. Notice how I don't randomly choke helpless people out?" Yae decided to leave it at that. Changing the subject away from the crazy Senju would be a good idea. No point in risking offending her.
"Or yell at people, only to apologize a moment later? Maybe think a little harder before you open your mouth. I simply wanted to know what was going on." Yae spoke with a slight quiver in her voice, a sign of barely-restrained fury. The Hyuuga seemed to look up to the woman, based on his lavish introduction. Another meat head?
"I mean, honestly. Don't insult someone and then immediately ask for their forgiveness, it makes you seem dense! But I suppose I'm expecting too much of a Hyuuga. Clearly your head is as light as your strikes," Yae gave her closing statement with a snide finality, a venomous, mocking tone.

❧ She didn't look particularly impressed. A loud child, as they come and go so quickly once every few generations...irksome at best. Was her thought at one of the girls' sudden outburst. That changed quickly however, and her gaze darkened dangerously at the child's muttering - hm? did the little brat think shinobi have poor hearing or something?
The Hyuuga boy's intercession was also equally unnecessary and apologizing so quickly for his beliefs... A fragile, movable child.
The air seemed to have chilled, dripping with icy intent. She might have made a promise to the Hokage but that had a clause - as long as they weren't her students, she was not allowed to touch them.
"Watch your tone, little girl." Sneered Harusame. "Compared to him, you are merely expendable resources."

Akeru had returned, and was standing at the doorway, his Sharingan flared, his face pale but determined. He was still breathing deeply from the strangulation before, and seemed unwilling to have returned here so quickly, but even so...he prioritized children over his own safety.
"Senju-hime, you are a Kage candidate. Won't you let this go?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 (2) + 63 = 65 + 6 (Sharingan effect) = 71
She raised her tone a little then, a smirk crossing her lips.

Hyuuga Takami ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The boy avoided all eye contact, drawing circles in the ground with his foot, standing in silence, listening to the girl voice his biggest self insecurity, and the boy felt as if she had opened up his chest and ripped his heart out. Takami tried to think about what he could have done differently. He knew he never should have opened his mouth, but that's why he apologized, although he knew it would be a long shot for her to forgive him. And then she said it, the insult that would never be forgiven, "Who do you think you are, insulting my clan's honor? It's one thing to insult me, but this is a whole other issue," the boy suddenly didn't feel sorry, he found himself secretly wishing Harusame would do the same to this new girl as she did to the Advanced Ninja. Akeru, was it? The boy wish that he had never apologized, and suddenly was taken aback by his idol, protecting him, and calling him.... Useful. He took note of that, but as she finished he felt his breathing to become shallow and quick. What was this feeling? How he could do this without even using any jutsus was beside the boy, If this went on for much longer, Takami didn't even want to think about what would happen, his only condolence being that that b***h was going through the same thing as him, he watched her releasing the boy she was just hurting.
