"Well, maybe you should try focusing on the positives." Alex suggested. "Like, for one, you're here with me again. And that Kalena let you enter the academy so the force field wouldn't kill you."

X nervously rubbed behind her neck
"yeah that last one, the force fields, some will still kill me. Its not her decision though, its like this place has a mind of its own sometimes." She looked around creeped out
"but yeah, I am with you and that's all that matters" she smiles and then thinks back on the people she met since she went rogue, or at least tried.
"then again, so many people 'dissapear' while trying to keep me safe."

Lawrence shrugged and walked toward Alex. Enough beating around the bush. He needs to know now or his mind will be lost to doubt, he thought. He lightly tapped Alex on the shoulder. " Hey man. How've things been here while I was gone?"

Alex turned around to see Lawrence. "Hey Lawrence." He said, the boy's golden bleached hair still shining bright. "What's up? Did you need anything?"

X immediately freaked out not knowing Lawrence except for when she helped but she was really freaked out then too, plus the last time she was near him, was the incident at port royale. She lept up from the table and quickly across the room.

Lawrence smiled. " Nothing I need right now. I just haven't seen you in a long time and wanted to tell you the good news," he said. Still so innocent looking after all the crap we've been through. His mind must either be very resilient or the mess is hidden under a carpet of fake happiness, he thought. Lawrence saw x jump and leap across the room. He immediately felt guilty about showing up, but was to nervous to approach and apologize to her.

"Good news? What ha- Xylia!" Alex said as she jumped to the other side of the room and frowned, hoping she was okay. "Oh. Do you have my medicine yet?"

Lawrence silently cursed himself for forgetting the medicine. " Not yet, but now that this is out of the way I can have it for you in about ten minutes," he said. He took a deep breath. " Eric is fine now. Jaster helped me out and now he shouldn't turn into... That again."

"Really? Great!" Alex said and hugged Lawrence, trying to hid his pain the best he could. He turned to X and walked over to her. "It's alright, Xylia. Lawrence won't hurt you."

Lawrence smiled and rubbed Alex's head. " Hopefully we can put this whole business behind us now and continue with our quote unquote 'normal' lives," he said. Lawrence looked to x. " wow. Port royal was a while ago wasn't it? I knew I recognized you from somewhere," he said warmly to her.

Alex smiled as Lawrence rubbed his head. Just like an older brother would do to a little one~ He nodded and hugged Lawrence. "Thanks, Lawrence. I wish I could repay you somehow."

Lawrence smiled. " No need to little man. It was just as much for myself as it was you and all the others affected by him," he said. He seems overjoyed about this. I guess we were the brothers he deserved as opposed to the one he had, he thought. He shuddered remembering skasa. (Ooc: Sorry if I butcher that name.)
