The Skarmory landed with a heavy thud in the middle of the courtyard. Stretching out her sharp metallic wings, she awkwardly lowered her body so that the eevee who had been riding on her back got slide off.
"That was awesome!" Atra whooped as he slid down Katara's angled wing like a slide. It was scary at first, constantly feeling like he would slip off of Katara's smooth back, but after he got the hang of keeping himself on, the flight was amazing.
Of all the evolutions he could choose from, why was there not one that could fly? Flying would be so cool.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Katara told the eevee, folding her wings back into its rest position.
"Now can you please take me to your team?"Atra nodded, and before he could run off to the West Wing, he noticed a familiar pokemon walking into the courtyard. It was a houndour, and there were bandages wrapped around her midsection. It was Zosee's little sister. Now...if only he could remember her name...um....oh yeah!
"Hey, Morana!" Atra yelled across the courtyard, waving a paw in the air to get her attention. She noticed him, and she quickly recognized him as their newest recruit.
She walked across the courtyard at a slow pace, careful not to aggravate her side. She gave the other group a wide berth, not wishing to engage in any sort of conversation, and stared at the Skarmory behind Atra.
"Ah...hello. We haven't seen you all day, we were worried...what happened?" The houndour asked, looking up nervously at Katara. She was huge compared to either of them, and looked rather menacing with every edge on her body sharp enough to kill.
"I took a mission and ran into Katara there. She wants to join the team."Morana's ears flattened against her head as she looked back up at the Skarmory. Katara wouldn't meet her eyes.
"I'm sorry, but we really can't-" She started, then flinched as Katara shifted her bulk, spreading her wings in agitation.
"No, please. There's...there's something I want to learn about here at the Guild. I can't return home until I find it. I just need a team to stay with, access to the library...please. I'll get my own food and I'll stay out of your way." Katara begged. Morana shook her head, not sure of what to do.
Incultyr was usually the one who made decisions on whether a potential recruit joined or not, but he was still at the Hospital. That left it to her, the other leader.
"Tell you what, I'll let her stay with me." Atra piped up. The first thing he had done when he joined Polaris yesterday was to ask for a room for himself. It was less of a room and more of a suite. There's room for Katara to stay.
Not to mention Atra would love to get to know the Skarmory a bit better, maybe he'd be able to convince her to carry him around all the time. Why bother flying yourself when you can get someone else to do it for you?
Morana seemed to consider this for a moment.
"I guess so then..."
