Looking at her a moment he laid back, pulling her with him and stroking her cheek. "Nothing's going to go wrong Moya. I won't let it." He wanted to reassure her, but he didn't know how. A part of her would always be scared. Waiting a moment he kissed her head, sitting up. "Why don't you go lay down for a little bit? I'll be up in a minute."

She nodded and got up off the couch, kissing him softly before going up the stairs and into the bedroom. She changed into one of his large shirts and got into bed, pulling her knees to her chest and just staying still, having no energy to do anything else right now, and she didn't want to lay down at the moment.

A few minutes later Nik came in, stripping his clothes and crawling into bed, pulling Moya down with him and holding her close. He had skimmed her family's file, and now he definitely didn't want to let her go anytime soon. Not after all that he read. Now he understood why she was so scared, why she didn't trust anyone but him. And it was only after he had given her reason to trust him.

Moya rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, sighing as she drifted to sleep. "I love you Nik." She slowly relaxed beside him, her mind going into a nothingness for the night, and would hopefully stay there.

He kissed her head softly before she fell asleep, rubbing her back lightly through his shirt. He couldn't sleep just yet though, his mind was plagued with thoughts. How had she survived as long as she had with those people? And how could they do that to her? Now he really wanted to kill her father all over again. But then his thoughts drifted to the baby. Would he be able to protect both of them like he should? He hoped so. Even with the chaos of his mind he drifted to sleep, keeping his arm around Moya.

Moya woke up about an hour after the sun rose, having a dreamless night. She looked up at Nik and smiled, not wanting to move. She was happy where she was. She was in the arms of the man she loved and a baby on the way. Her mind drifted to the baby now, now she was worried that she wouldn't be able to take care of the child, be afraid of it like she was with everyone else. She sighed softly and closed her eyes again, still not wanting to move.

Waking a few minutes after she did Nik stirred, groaning softly when he saw the sun and closing his eyes again. He did not want to be up yep. Feeling Moya was awake he opened his eyes again slowly, smiling at her. "Morning beautiful." He kissed her softly as his arm tightened around her. "How did you sleep?"

She smiled and kissed him back. "Dreamlessly. How about you?" She sat up a little, but not too fast just in case she would get sick again. She felt fine for now though, so maybe today was going to be a lucky day.

He rubbed her back even as she sat up, smiling and glad that she hadn't had any dreams. It was better than her waking up with a cold sweat or tears. "Pretty good with you by my side."

She smiled and leaned back down, kissing him softly. "You look like you need some more sleep." She slowly got out of bed and once she knew she wasn't going to puke she walked to the door, turning to him with a smile. "So how about you sleep some more and I explore the house a little more?" She wanted to get past her fear of basements anyway.

Watching her get up he smiled, not needing a whole lot of coaxing. "Wake me up if you need me." Repositioning he pulled the blanket up over his stomach, turning on his side and falling back asleep almost immediately.

She smiled and let him sleep. She went downstairs and then sat on the stairs leading to the basement. She needed to find the curage to go down, and sometime later she did. She turned on some lights and saw there was nothing to fear down here, there was just boxes of things and old webs. She looked at the labeling on the boxes and realized they were old toys and nick nacks. She smiled and thought they would be good for her baby when it was old enough. She went back upstairs, turning off the lights and sitting on the couch, turning on the tv and starting to watch Animal Planet.

Lilac decided to let what she saw go and leave. She went the other way and left the town.

A couple of hours later Nik woke up, feeling better now as he sat up and stretched. Scratching his head he pulled his pants on and went downstairs, whistling as he made his way to the kitchen. When he heard the tv though he looked over, smiling when he saw it was on Meerkat Manor. "Having fun?"
