One eye twitching involuntarily, Lex prepared for another shot. It made a mad dash across the log. The beavers gnawed at the log in hopes that it would break, but no. If it wouldn't have compromised its dignity, Lex might have done a victory dance.

Ratchet wasted no time in flopping to her belly and beginning to crawl. At a shout of encouragement, her ears perked. A new puppet? Sweet! But as soon as she stood up to see where Annabel was, she got pelted with a... snowball? Weird.. At least she wasn't far from the course's entry; trying again would be pretty easy.

This time, Ariel watched for both seagulls and sure footing. And beavers, you couldn't ignore those territorial little buggers. Inching her way along, she ducked the seagulls that came her way. Finally, she made it to the other side.

This time, nothing could distract Ratchet from her goal. Elbows akimbo, she scooted through the dirt and mud faster than she ever had before. She didn't want to look like a screwup in front of Annabel! In no time at all, she reached the cliff, where she pulled out her clean gloves. Time to get serious!

Ratchet was getting to be a regular pro at this cliff-climbing business. She scaled the cliff face in what she was sure was her new record time. Perhaps she'd try this again when she had a bit of downtime and the cliff wasn't in use; it might be fun to see what she could do when she wasn't covered in mud. Pulling herself over the top of the cliff, she trotted off to the alligator pit. Yay rope swings!

Ratchet took a brief rest before actually tackling the rope swings. She was feeling pretty tired from all the climbing and swinging and running; there was no sense in doing this until she was a bit rested. Rubbing her arms, Ratchet flexed and stretched until she felt a bit more loose-muscled. Just a quick swing over the pond and then onto the log!

Dashing over the log, Ratchet dodged seagulls and beavers to make it to the end of the course. It looked a couple times like she was going to fall off, but she managed to keep herself balanced on the log. At the end, she once again removed her gloves, pausing to examine them and the rest of her clothes for rips. There were a few new holes in her pants; some she could rivet, but the others she could patch. And she'd brought a few other t-shirts with her; she could clean this one and rip it for patches. It was pretty holey, too. Her gloves had one rip, but she could sew that. But she'd do all that later, after she'd showered and cleaned her clothes. Right now, she had an obstacle course to finish!

Ratchet ducked under the wires and crawled across, feeling her way and keeping extra-low to the ground. She really didn't want to get hit with another... snowball. Where did they get those, anyways? She soon reached the end and looked back behind her at the remaining campers on the course. So far, so good. This was her last attempt, and she wanted to make it perfect!

Ratchet made it up the cliff for the final time without any problems; no land mines went off under her, and she didn't fall. However, her gloves had suffered a few new rips and tears. She'd really have to fix them after this. She'd only brought one pair!

Ratchet grabbed at the rope for the fifth time that day. She swung right over the gators, and although they snapped at her, she kept her limbs and tail tucked in tight to her body. Sure, her landing wasn't the most graceful thing ever, but grace wasn't part of the competition here. Landing was, and that's what was important.

Ratchet shut her eyes and vaulted across the log, hoping to heaven she wasn't whacked by a seagull. She opened them again when all four paws touched solid ground. She'd done it! Her last run of the course had been great, and now she could go shower and wash her clothes down by the lake.

Jay stomped to face the Beaver Balance a fourth time. If her anger were to show she'd look like a lovely Christmas tree; What with the bright reds of anger flashing around the black and green. She was never bad at physical stuff. But yeah, raving didn't really help one with balance, eh? Well, hopefully the log wouldn't collapse under her stomping...

((edited after the roll)) <********> As was inevitable from her entrance, the log totally caved under her foot and she was sent flying downwards once more. And she stomped back up once more.

Attempt number five and it wasn't looking too good. If she got herself into a brawl with another person, Jay would simply beat them to a pulp. But you see, beating this log to a pulp... It would just send her falling again. And that wasn't favorable. Jay tried taking a few deep breaths to lighten up... "Come on"...

((edited after the roll)) And hey, she made it through okay! See, all it took was a little concentration and clear headedness. Her 'smile' was more of a wide, crazed grin. She was a total mess by now: Hair roughed up and tousled, clothes mud stained and nails broken. Not that she cared about the latter ailment. Not at all.
