Dusk finally couldn't take it. If she stayed this close to the flustered hit man, she was just gonna laugh at him and kiss him. Hold up! Where did that thought come from!? Dusk shook her head, now blushing at the thought. She got up and ran to the kitchen, finding some chicken noodle soup and making it.
"After I make this, and after you eat it, you're going to bed!" So that I can go and get some cash....and mess with my mind and find out what's going on...
Dusk still wouldn't look at him though, her bush still not completely gone. Damnitt Dusk. You're the one who makes people blush, not the other way around!

Kyoshi felt relieved that she went into the kitchen. 'That was close. Jesus, I could have-' He stopped the thought from going on. He wasn't going to do anything because he wasn't that sort of guy to mess with someone like her. Besides, it was clear that Dusk had a history the involved a terriable experience with men by the way she acted the night before. Wipping sweat from his brow he didn't look at her but at the ceiling. Maybe something was wrong with him. He took the towel and put it over his face. Exhaustion came over him. He smelled the soup and his stomache growled softly. 'Just what I need.'

Dusk sighed, trying to calm down. "What the hell, Dusk?" She muttered. The girl then rememberd about his annoyingly good hearing, and went back to just thinking as she made the soup. He's an old man, he's an a*****e. You'll only be here till Zaine decides is time for you to leave. Then you'll be able to be with him for real...cuz you won't be living with him... Dusk dropped the ladle on the floor and it landed on her foot.
"s**t!" The heat from it burning her. "Crap...." She found another ladle and used it to get Kyoshi's soup out. "Here." Dusk had it in a bowl for him. "I'll clean up the mess and you get to bed." I need to get some cash soon. Don't wanna be behind when I get back on the streets. The thought made her sad. When Zaine came back, she would be kicked out. "Damn..." She muttered, forgetting not to talk out loud.

Kyoshi put down the soup bowl and rushed up to Dusk forgetting that she nearly gave him a heart attack by how close she was and that fact that he was about to cry because her scent and warmth were far away. 'What? That was weird.' He thought looking at her. "Are you okay? Do you need that cream for the burn?"

Dusk waved her hand, refusing to look at him. "I'm fine. Sit down and rest damnitt." She muttered, "Even though you ain't sick..." But she got up and sighed once again, thinking of what made her burn herself in the first place. She looked at Kyoshi, lost in her thoughts. She smiled bitterly. "Damn..." Shaking her head, she went back to cleaning up.

Kyoshi let her go. He wasn't going to stir the hornets nest so he sat down and the smell of the soup helped distract him from Dusk's scent but it was still lingering there. He drank the soup in a quick gulp, burning his tongue in the process. He growled but let the pain distract him some more. He was beginning to relax as the hot liquid did it's thing. He might sleep but apart of him was actually afraid that he would have another episode and Dusk would see him humilated.

It was too quiet.
Normally, there was at least some making fun of the other, and at the moment, Dusk was in the mood for some real messing with Kyoshi. If she got him mad enough, it would give her an excuse to leave and stay out for a while. If he woke up and she was gone.... Dusk shivered. Fine...time to get him mad.
"You gonna be ok?" She called over he shoulder, almost done cleaning up.

Clearing his throat he sighed deeply. "Yeah I'll be fine. You should go to bed. You had a rough day with that store guy." He couldn't help but say that last with a hint of venom. He had wanted to take the guy out but it was no use. Thinking about how he looked at her made his skin curl and want to break his face in but the guy was dead so it shouldn't matter. Then again, there were more like him. Now he was getting ticked off.

Dusk was behind him and flicked him in the back of his head. Quickly, she jumped over the back of the couch and sat down, the same way as she had before, just this time not with intentions. Another coke was in the half elf's hand. "He wasn't a problem. I think the 'fight'," She did the quotes in the air with her free hand. "Lasted three seconds. It wasn't hard." Taking a drink, she raised a brow.
"You seem fine...you gonna get mysteriously sick on me again, though?" She didn't hide the fact that she knew now. She wanted to tick him off so that the streets could act as her escape.

Kyoshi bit back a retort. Then she had this cocky attitude about fighting the pathetic store guy. "What if he wasn't by himself? What if there was a whole bunch of them and they messed you up? What would you have done then?" He was not liking her tone. He narrowed his gaze on her.

Dusk was about to fight, this was what she wanted but... She couldn't. Instead, she looked at the ticked off look and laughed.
"What? Do you really care?" She laughed a bit, but calmed down. "I would've done what I always do. Fight." Dusk shook her head. "As I said, I'm not defenseless. You remember what Zaine said in the bar? He thinks I could give you a run. You know Zaine. He doesn't just say things like that to tick people off, or to get someone going. Zaine's not like that." She smiled and winked.
"Plus, if there were more of them, then I could have tried out one of my new poisons. It's supposed to make the person go nuts and attack what he thought were his friends." She laughed. "That would've been fun...."
Dusk then got serious. "But....do you care?" She was intrigued, maybe he cared, maybe he didn't. Dusk's money was on this all being an act and he didn't give a s**t and was just afraid of zaine.

He ran a frustrated hand through his hair. "Of course I'm concerned. What you think it's all an act? God, you think so little of people least of all me?" He gave a bitter laugh. "It's no surprise your not the first to even consider the idea that I would be a heartless son of b*tch. Then again, you have only known me for only one day." He did feel concern for her. It was just a natural thing to care for her. Something in him wanted to protect her from the world and protect her from himself, if possiable.

Dusk twitched. "I was just wondering. i know you're not heartless...." She muttered, "I saw that a few minutes ago..." But, in a normal voice she said. "I didn't know if you actually cared or if you were respecting Zaine." Sighing, Dusk threw down her Coke, frustrated. Putting her head in her hands, she started babbling, mostly just to get things straight in her own head, but it wasn't exactly soft...
"You yell at me, then you help me, you yell at me, then you help me. You say you care, then treat me like a little kid. Then you say that you're not treating me like a kid, but then you act as if I'm some little innocent girl who hasn't been attacked before. I know that a human is easy to kill, you think I'm bragging, I'm not, I'm trying to get a point across. You don't see my point, i get pissed, you yell, I yell, you slam a door, I destroy something, you go to a fight or something, and yes I know about that, and I either go to a bar or go hide out at a grave."
Dusk pulled at her hair. "So damn confusing..."

Kyoshi's eyes widen. He was just trying to... He was causing her some sort of discomfort even though he tried not to. He wouldn't deny that he was a paradox. It was hard for him to really keep an emotion because... He was making excuses. "I.." He looked at the sliding door. He didn't know what to say to that. Except maybe that most of this confusing thing was because she wasn't that helpful with this situation either. "How do you know about the fight?" He said softly. He really was feeling raw. He didn't want to examine this but eventually it was going to happen. He thought about it again. "Well then what would want me to do? I'm only keeping a safe distance so that you don't have to be afraid of me when you stay here. Is that so bad?"

Dusk didn't look up but kept one hand on her head the other went behind Kyoshi's to hit him. "Idiot. I thought I told you when we first met." She looked up at him, her eyes showing behind her fingers. "You don't scare me and there is nothing that you can do to change that." Sighing, Dusk shrugged. "I don't care about the fights. I've been in them myself. I've seen you there." Fully looking at him, "I stay in shadows. If I don't want you to see me, you don't."
Dusk kept quiet the fact that she's never lost. Now wouldn't be the right time to mention that...
"What I want you to do is understand I'm not as innocent as you seem to want me to be. You don't have to walk on eggshells around me. But...the main thing I guess is understand that I can fight, and I normally win." She gave him a glace as she picked up her thankfully capped coke. "I've only lost to two people. You've seen my body, well some of it." And enjoyed it.... She grinned at that, but kept that comment down. "You really think all of that, with the different shades of timing could come from two people?" Dusk smiled at him somberly. "I. Am. Not. Weak."
