((o_O? The army is attacking Favraes! And Eopia isn't going to be besieged by giant sea monsters until after the commercial break.
Night, about my time to head off too.))

"Indeed" With an abrupt motion, the Dark Knight snapped the lever back The elevator was still for a moment, allowing Hashmal to state: "The bump at the end is a bit rough..." Then the elevator hurtled down as the gravity pulled it down.
Clem screamed. (rather like a girl, might I add...)
(goodnight)

The elevator plummeted downward to the third level of the mines, making a loud screeching sound as it scratched against the rock wall.
Raedou found the noise unsettling, but he just closed his eyes and attempted to block out the screeching of both the elevator and Clem.
"I heard that the third level was merely a hallway leading to the fifth level, completely skipping the fourth, which is merely a large body of water." said Raedou quietly, looking at his friends, "Is this so, Hashmal?"

"They're gravlies. They have something to do with magic... I learned about it in prison." He explained. "Don't touch them though; if you do, your skin will melt off, followed by the de-attachment of your muscles and then you'll just be a feast of organy mass." He said simply, as if commenting on the redundancy of the mine's twists and turns. Farfarello didn't actually know what happened when you touched them; he just wanted to relish the look on poor Perrault's face.

(('ello there.))
Ephlas took the descent quietly, although he had to grab onto the railing in order to not bang his head on the ceiling. This was turning out to be a circus ride.

((Since zfatal's post suggested that they were still on the elevator, his GM authority has forced me to move the events after the landing to the post below. Sorry for the confusion. SPI, when are you on Gaia? I never see you online, and I'm pretty much stuck until you reply...))

The elevator then came to a halt, and Raedou limped out of the large machine.
The third level was abnormally bright, and very warm. The humming noise grew annoyingly loud, accompanied by sounds similar to a heart beating. The purple aura moved faster through the shining tunnels, and hundreds of peculiar wisps sped along the magical current. To put it simply, the third level was extraordinarily creepy.
"Gravlies..." mumbled Raedou, looking at the wisps. "Natives of the Mines of Kalesteses... very rare, very fragile..."
He turned to Ephlas.
"The Gravlies are the source of the mine's Deep Magic. They amplify the gravity in these tunnels, creating the gravity field. They say that merely touching one will send even the strongest warriors crashing to the ground... Do not touch them."
Perrault glared at Farfarello, perfectly aware that what the demon had said was a lie.
"Well," he grumbled, "it's clear that you don't know anything about gravlies..."
He turned to Krestere.
"Do you know what they are, Krestere?" he asked.
Krestere looked into the pool and scratched his head.
"Methinks I heard Raedou talk'n of these t'ings... Their names do be gravlies, n' they do control da magic in these here mines..." he mumbled.
The Ganzi shot Farfarello a look.
"But what Farfarello said 'bout dem bein' vicious flesheat'n monsters be a lie, I can assure ya o' dat."
Perrault sighed in relief.
"Good..." he said happily.
The young elf looked around and saw the tunnel leading to the next room.
"That must be the fifth level!" he yelled happily, "Hurry up, you guys! Raedou and Ephlas are probably waiting for us!"
And with that said, Perrault ran towards the tunnel, but then stopped in his tracks.
A blood-red glow came from inside the tunnel. The loud heartbeating noise was in there, too, and the didgeridoo noise was gone completely, replaced by what sounded a lot like heavy breathing... from a vicious monster, ready to feed on whatever came through that opening.
He turned around and looked at his friends, shuddering and whimpering.
"Are... are you guys... c-coming?" he moaned in fear.

Ephlas immediately strode up as possibly close as he could get to one of these 'Gravlies.' But in an instant, it was far away from him again, and Ephlas wondered if these moving 'Gravlies' were going to be an obstacle course of some sort.
"Deep... Magic," he murmured. Then, to his two or three companions, "Which way do we go now?"

Farfarello kicked a rock, mumbling what sounded a lot like "all my fun". When they came to the new room with the red glow, Farfarello scaled the wall and culed above the arched entrance, looking much like a carved decoration in the dim light. "Krestere, my knowledgable friend, I do believe you should go first."

"I have no idea..." mumbled Raedou as he turned to Hashmal for directions.
"Hashmal, you lead the way..."
Like the elderly being that he was, Raedou felt a tingling sensation course through his bones. It was quite annoying.
The Storm is growing..., the old Ganzi thought to himself, I pray that it does not reach Eopia... and the princess...
Krestere nodded his head.
"Aye..." he said as he walked into the red fog.
Perrault stood and watched for some sign that Krestere was still alive...
That was when Krestere swiftly poked his head out of the fog and screeched the elk-like noise.
Perrault, scared out of his mind, jumped up at Farfarello, clinging onto the demon like glue.
"Make it go away, make it go away, make it go away, make it go away..." he squeaked as he hid his face in Farfarello's arm.
He looked back at Krestere, his face red with anger.
"Don't scare me like that!" he wailed, "I hate it when bigger people are always picking on me!!"
((I'm gone. See you guys tomorrow. And Hayato, make a character for my RP, dammit! We're all waiting for you! scream ))
