-Stefan appears to be ill at ease with speaking of former courtship rituals. Perhaps this topic is taboo among humans? Though he is asking me to make an inquiry to someone else, thus eliminating this theory. Perhaps it is because I am asking that is making him uncomfortable?

Not casual, perhaps, but indeed necessary if I am to acquire more knowledge concerning courtship.
How does one go about courting another? You seem to imply that the are patterns, though they vary.

Well it depends on the person. You find someone that you believe you'd want to... court and then you ask them. It's more complicated but I was never one for this sort of thing...
