((Thanks for the well wishes guys. My dorms have power and hopefully my family will have some soon too (stupid Duke Energy sucks).))
Abigail had taken her captain's advice and had slipped off to feed and catch a quick cat nap. Picking up her empty dishes and stretching out the rest of her weariness, she headed down the hallway to the kitchen to drop off the dishes.
Frowning, she glanced around as footsteps of busy and flustered people and decided that she'd figure out what was going on later.
((She wasn't around for any of the announcments of a flight. I've been keeping up with the story, it's ok. lol ))

Elliot dropped down onto the deck (from where?), and looked around him, seeing the crew and yet more additions milling around purposefully. He quickly sumrmised that they must finally be getting ready for a launch, though he did not know knew exactly. He mood rose; he was glad for a chance to get back to the adventure inherent to airship flying.
He moved swiftly to the gunnery command station, which whilst not having any guns of its own, had communication tubes running through the ship to each of the gun bays, as well as the bridge.
"Gunners, Station Reports!"
He wondered though how many of the clanks would even be there by their own impetus.

To Wulfe: "Then lets get you to one of the gunnery stations, please speak with Eli, he is gunnery commander, as to which position he'd like you to take. we have cannons in both balloons as you can se (Daniel indicates the medium cannons in ball turrets on the balloons) as well as two in the ship itself, fore and aft."
Daniel checks the progress of the ship, his experience in the air force giving him the eye to see what was needed. he gave orders to clanks as they needed it. Daniel wanted his ship ready for inspection. Satisfied things were proceeding smoothly, he climbs up the stairs to the bridge. Finding Myles in place at the navigators station, he begins to discuss the flight plan, mapping it out on a chart. "A simple enough path, once around the guildship at one to two leagues out." Daniel explains.
(cannon locations again are listed on the map, but here is the layout again: 2 medium cannons each per balloon, one above and one below. Nysth's cannon on main deck, can be lowered for storage beneath the decking. One heavy cannon below nysth's cannon, and one light repeater gatling in the back of the main ship body)

he heard eli's orders and pressed a button on the side of the communicator to his face he replied
"Ready to report sir"
as he did so he heard very few clanks reply as well, he pulled a lever and the weapon rose up slowly out of the compartment, claned and fully operational for the entire crew to see, he crossed his arms over his chest with a huge grin as he waited orders

If anyone had been looking at the guild, they might have seen a small, elegantly designed, airship pull away from part of the main spire; which grew larger and more obvious as it flew itself closer to the Khaos; finally moving itself alongside, decks level. It was a small ship, clearly not meant for long distances, but seemed well built enough; the type used by some people of the Guild for getting from one part or the city to another quickly. This one evidence by the figure standing on deck, was currently being used by the Admiral; dressed as he was in full captaining garb.
"Hello there!" He called over. "Permission to come aboard?"
[[I really don't like the sound of 'Admiral', but hey.]]

Elliot heard Nysth's reply, as well as the clank's own hollow replies. He was glad that they were built with the initiative to keep themselves ready. As Nysth replied, Elliot could hear also the whirrs of the mechanism that were now raising Nysth, and his cannon, up onto the deck behind him. From his position near the front of the deck, he could see the arrival of a small and elegant craft.
He called the order to gunners to stand at ease before leaving his staion to address the Admiral. He walked over swiftly, drawing his long rifle, a 2m long construction of brass and what appeared to be mahogany, and bowed with a flourish of his rifle, which he rested by one hand on his shoulder as he saluted.
"Admiral, sir! Brigadier General Elliot Lucian Vidal of the Airship Khaos, SIC and Gunnery Commander. We have awaited your arrival and the ship is being prepared for flight as we speak. I welcome you aboard, sir."
Elliot stood stock still at attention, a clear indication that he was once a member of the Queen's Armed Forces, as well as that he had lost none of his precision at drill from so long without practice. The sun as was its habit glinted off the lens of his half-mask, as well as the fine and intricate workings of the rifle.

The Visitor smiler, and nodded to the second in command. "As you were, and thanks muchly."
After saying this, he signalled to the pilot of his own vessel, and had it more closer - before stepping carefully across. He looked up and around him for a while, before back at the SIC. "Impressive ship you've got here, been serving on it long?"

Elliot relaxed, slinging his long rifle across his back now, though it still stuck over a meter in the air, the end reflecting the light in an almost random pattern.
"Thank you sir. And I have been serving on this ship for a very long time, so long I forgot quite how many years. But then, I don't terribly have much of a recollection of my past anyway, so I suppose that doesn't count for much."
The comment on his time serving would strike many people as odd. The half of his face visible did not look at all like that of an old man, more like one in his twenties, late at most in fact. Elliot looked to the skies as he was momentarilly lost in his past, or rather lack of it, before facing the Admiral once more.
"Excuse me sir, I shall just check on the Captain's whereabouts."
With this, he walked back over to the gunnery comman station near the prow of the ship, and called down into another tube.
"Captain! Our visitor has arrived!"

The visitor smiled again, as if contemplating something he'd rather keep quiet for now.
"Very well then, I'll be here if you need me..." He said, turning round to lean on the side of the vessel, watching his skiff lazily drift back towards the Guild-City.

Emelia had been expecting the Admiral's arrival (thanks to dropping one or two eaves), but she couldn't help her eyes widening a little when he stepped on deck. She hopped up from the barrel she had perched on, and stood, as a lady does when a ranking officer comes aboard...right?
Things seemed to settle a bit after the man who called himself Brigadier greeted the Admiral, and shortly after she sat back down to watch the proceedings.

Hearing Eli's call through the speaker tube, Daniel walks to the windows of the bridge and spots the Guildmaster with Eli on the bow. He hurries back down the stairs the toe main deck.
In his haste to get to the main deck, the fact that his body was not all flesh and blood was made rather obvious. Striding toward the bow. Daniel snaps to attention and salutes, with a grace only a machine or a person with years of experience can manage. "Welcome aboard sir!"

The Admiral stood smartly to attention in response, and after saluting replied "Thank you very much, I'm quite pleased to be here. Please, you must show me around you vessel. And another thing, no more... formalities."

Myles nods to himself as reports come back to him one by one through the tubes. When all four stations check in, he calls back down through them.
"All units stand by for flight."

Daniel relaxes, "I would be glad to show you our ship. as you can tell the Khaos was once a fine military vessel but has been heavily modified. Her balloons are made up of cured canvas stretched over a steel frame, with gas cells in all the available space. some helium some a gas i cant identify. the engines are down the center of the balloons, steering from the fins, and two cannon per balloon. the ship itself has 3 cannons, two in the fore and one aft.
One such cannon being Nysth's there." Daniel points to the large cannon on the fore deck. "another large cannon a level below that and a Gatling in the rear. If you would follow me, i can show you below deck" Daniel takes the guildmaster(admiral) below pointing out the galley, the med bay, the cabins and hanger and hold.
"Our ship has the capacity to hold four small craft, as well as two on platforms built into the walls. Our Tug and pusher fighter are in need of repairs but the Rocinante and the vanship are in fine order."

The Admiral listened and nodded throughout the tour, his expression suggesting many mental notes were being taken. "It's definitely a fine ship. But you know, if they need repairs, just get the guild's grease-monkeys to have a look at them.."
