Alice turned to face Edward and with an un natural politeness said "Douglas is fully aware of our aproach. He sadly insulted Master Murakai by attacking the envoy that was sent." She smiled as they walked down the road.

Aftr some time she once again regaured them "in case you were wondering the envoy was destoryed, but do not mourn... it was only an acolyte." Her gaurds seemed to flinch at the mention of the acolyte. Alice laughed, a wicked sound that revealed that for all her politeness she was a monster like no other, and said "these creature are acolytes as well. Simple creatures made to look intelagent, created in a lab and easily replaced." The red flashed bac,k in her eyes for only a second and the nearest acolyte fell to the ground clutching his head. She giggled like a school girl and kept walking as the man regained his compsure.

Alice turned around, her sightless eyes searching, and said "He has received word of our arival and should be expecting us." She turned around and spoke again this time trying to change the subject. "Have you heard of my Lord? He is a great vampire but I must admit that his obsession with mortals is anything but healthy." She turned around and said "and he seems to have a taste for rare things... I am an example of such rarites. However I am of little value compared to his Human servant... In all my days never have I seen such a creature as that.... heh. Murakai would never let the boy find out but it was his own scientists that created him...."

She continued her pace. She looked up at the unnatural clouds and the thunder rolling across the sly and thought to herself What wickedness do you have planned now Murakai? She looked behind her and said "Murakai belives that the Council is a relic of the past... as past he saw first hand...." She closed her eyes for a moment as it began to rain then said "He told me of it once... the first age. He said that it was a time of monsters and horrible black magics...." She turned to look at him and then walked over so as to be at Edwards side. She continued saying "He spoke of Black wolves and Visturlum... giant monsters.... but the one creature even he had feared was the Grenolai. He said that not even the strongest blade could peirce their hide and that the beasts towered over entire buidlings...." She looked down and said "only three of them ever lived and as far as anyone knows they are still alive... sitting in there caves waiting..."

Alice smiled and said "no. I do not expect you to have an answer." she turned to face to road and said "we near our destination."

Murakai stood at the door of the chapel. He needed to get in but he always found it difficult and sometimes impossible to enter. He took a step forwad and with some obvious effort entered the room. check. First thing was done, get inside. Now he had to find tht anoyingly stuborn girl and once again try to convinse her to give him the Journal of the Alchemist. It was nessisary for what he wanted to do.

After an uncomfortable ten minutes he finally found the temple girl he was looking for. He walked up to her and her bright face went pale. He sighed inwardly, if she kept greeting him like that someone was bound to noice eventually. Her smiled and before he could even get out a word she held a cross up to him and said "leave or i'll tell them what you are." Murakai smirked and waved his hand. The girl fell and he caught her, he said "if you were going to tell them you would have already."

Douglas looked down at the sword. Did he really plan to take this...? Well, of course he did, but what impression would it have? Would it be taken as a threat? Hell, he didn't want anyone else catching him without a weapon. Why had he even stopped carrying this sword...? With a sigh, he slipped it into his belt. Crude, but effective.

"Aw man. . ." Edward sighed, shaking his head. "Does she really have to make every guard she meets pass out?" Edward asked, looking after her as she went. He might as well look after the guards, and Demetria, outside of town. Alice and Douglas would be coming back out this gate anyway, if Douglas did come along. But, hmmm. A carriage would be nice. "Come along Demetria." He said to her, though she really had no choice in the matter of going in or not, he was going to find her a warmer place to stand whether she liked it or not. The rain would just give her a cold, something he didn't want to have to deal with. He would secure a carriage for them to ride in all the way to Chorrol, and then wait for Alice and Douglas to come back. Unless it took to long, he didn't want to have to wait.

Demetria shivered slightly, though warm under Lord Edwards coat. It wasn't from the rain, but so many other things. The way Alice had mentioned Murakai's obsession with motrals and rarities. Demetia fit that bill, which worried her. Sure, she had Edward, however, what would happen? They were out of their element, away from their comfort zone, and at his advantage point. Next on her mind was Burma. Even being near the town made her feel sick. This place held alot of memories, none of which were pleasant. The final thing on her mind was the fact that she was at a loss for words. They seemed to have escaped her. Her throat was sore and felt raw. She wanted to talked to Edward but she didn't know if she could say anything; and if she tried and couldn't Edward would have all the more reason to worry about her. Demetria gripped Edwards hand with both of hers and leaned her head into his arm. She didn't want to leave his side.
