Lady Psycho Sexy Sweet Amber Lynne I NEED HELP JUDGING THESE FOR MY CONTEST I NEED A FIRST PLACE 2ND PLACE AND 3RD PLACE Its suppose to be the best Halloween themed tek tek
I like this one because of the contrast; orange is rounded, black is linear. I feel like she chose shapes that flowed together well and made each color pop. However the colors are mismatched; shades differ all over the place and it feels off-balance. 5/5 for being visually pleasing + 2/5 points for poor attention to detail = 7/10.
This one caught my eye because it didn't adhere to the traditional color scheme. I think it was a bold move, but it was very close to paying off. If it were a little better matched, it would probably be my favorite for its originality. 3/5 for eye-catching oddity + 1/5 for a visually unappealing color scheme = 4/10
This one is visually pleasing but too complex. The more colors you use in an outfit, the less each one stands out individually and the harder it is to balance them all. I would have foregone the black or gray in favor of simplicity. 4/5 for visually pleasing contrasting colors + 2/5 for not quite anchoring them all to each other = 6/10
I should probably stop now because I am going to be a very harsh rater. xd no no i appreciate it i really do i need peoples opinions ^.^

Medeus Lady Psycho Sexy Medeus rofl! I didn't know there was notification? I'm trying to figure out how to turn it off, but the feeds preference page is all sliders instead of checkboxes. How am I supposed to know which point on the slider turns off a specific notice? xd lol! I thought it was Checkboxes at one point? Lame.... I'll go mess with it, cuz I've never gotten Tip notifications =/ Well, the tip amount is so small you wouldn't notice unless you were told anyway. xd It just bugs me because when I get a notice I assume it's someone quoting me/commenting my profile or something selling in the vend; you know, something I will actually act on.

Why don't you tell me the ones you like best and I'll critique those? No point in analyzing something you probably didn't have your eye on anyway razz

Sweet Amber Lynne Ive taken a liking to this one to i like that its different but still in the theme of Halloween there is something off about it but its still in the running for me I think it's the feather. Skin tones are easy to overlook, but I feel like she tried to tie it in without committing to making the color part of her composition. I usually don't like many of the items she used because I feel like they hurt an avatar's balance, but when she used them together she managed to balance it out again. And if you look at the shades of red, it almost looks like there's a light source; all the brighter parts line up. I don't know if that was intentional, but it's a very interesting effect nonetheless; it makes the avi look three-dimensional.
Actually the only thing stopping me from giving this a high rating is the side of her head. I feel like black would have been better for that and the whole face feels kinda off. 5/5 for using shades to successfully create the illusion of depth, 4/5 for balancing items I considered unbalanceable, -1 for the head area. 8/10; all in all I am impressed.

Sweet Amber Lynne i like this one to, i think they did a really good job of matching all the colors and its not over done I don't really like that one. The white in the hair, the red on the lollipop, and the green leaf on the pail go almost completely unmatched, and I feel like she relied heavily on items that are either specifically for Halloween or expensive; it lacks originality. Not to mention balance; the lollipop makes her look like she's about to fall over. 2/5 for being something I've seen pretty much every Hallowen on Gaia, 2/5 for out-of-place colors and poor balance = 4/10. Quote: I like this one two its simple but its definitely Halloween and everything goes well together.
I like Dessy's too, but I think that it would have looked much better if she had tied in the orange tones from the flaming ground as well. But it's simple, there's not a lot to take in, which makes it easier to appreciate the way the black and red are matched. One nitpick I have about it is that the stripe pattern is not repeated later in the avatar; color is only one aspect of matching. I would prefer not to enumerate my rating, because I feel like the forms she chose complement her personality despite the technical shortcomings and I don't want her to feel like one is more important than the other because you can't have a good avatar without mastery of both.

But now that you mention it, I see why she put it there. There's a zipper on the hat in the same tan shade; while I feel that it would have been better in a bow or arrow pose to bring the color all the way down the avatar, I can understand why she put it there now.

Sweet Amber Lynne this is so much harder then i thought sweatdrop Picking a winner always is. Avatars are an art form; it's hard to tell someone that they lose at expressing themselves.
