Haha! In all my years here I haven't submitted ONE bio/profile. It never stopped me from doing anything.
Wait, I kinda submitted one for HoH since it was required, that's all though.

ugh I hate profiles, they're just so.. Static? is that the word I'm looking for? Anyway they're boring and I just can't bring myself to go like

Age: 12
Weight: 87lbs
Height: 5"
Skills: adorably neive
Weapons: Big Blue Eyes
It just feels like it diminished the character to write it out like that unless you're going to be all neurotic Jello-like and describe every ******** little thing.

It's also unfair to fight without having an established profile, because then there's no way for your opponent to know whether you're making stuff up as you go along regarding what your character is capable of. Yes, it's limiting. That's exactly what it's supposed to be.

I gotta agree with Acacia. Some of those profiles are too damn long to even consider reading. Sides, it's info you can exploit later IC'ly even if there is that rule 'you can't use OOC knowledge as an advantage IC' or whatever.
I mean someone can read through all that detailed crap and make a super char. that can kick everyone's a** knowing their abilities and all. I'd pull a Reiko but my character's too damned versatile to describe EVERYTHING h can do. hence I'll never hear the end of....
You made that up just now. Why can you do that? How'd you do that? That's not possible. It's not in your profile. Etc.
Sides, I wouldn't go updating the damned thing everytime I feel like 'updating' my character. That's a waste of time in my opinion. Where's the surprise? Hell in anime the surprise in a fight is one of the best things int eh storylines. Like the heor pulling out his ace in the hole only to be countered by the villian's bad a** counter ability or whatever.
Crazy a** people here with some damned big profiles, too big for me to consider reading if I ever came across them in the first place. Who cares is Joshua makes weird circular, square, triangular symbols? If Vahn can kick heat that slice things at whatever or that someone can spit fire because they ate too many red hots.
I'm overwhelmed, that's all. I can't imagine taking the time to make something that describes my char. so 'thouroughly', it's insane.
