"The dark one stinks of blood. He can launder his clothes and wash his skin as much as he wants. The stench is still on him, in his soul if you will." But this was not about him. In fact, Hunter hit the nail on the head and probably didn't even know it. That was what clung to the elf...the aura of a dragon. A dragon that was long ago slain. She had no intention of letting the elf skip around with such a thing. "I'm sure I've seen worse than a few shambling corpses."
Hm, did the father share the trade? "I will take that as a compliment of you calling me a very young dragon." To which she had herself a light chuckle. "I know many things. Old Arts that have come and gone, moved across planes and times. Did you think all us dragons were wonderous do gooding beings of justice and Draconic Code? We share our secrets, others can not keep them. Poisions and such were long old to us when they were new to others. Responsible for the origin of all such things. No of course not. But we've contributed to the variation of such things in the worlds."
Could the elf do such things? Even for an elf it was easy to tell she was still young. Especially if she had her father keeping tabs. Though should that elf show up...well, the advantage could be pushed all the same. Her knowledge and ability may not be that developed yet, or even possible by her variation. Or maybe Fellnathir was lying. "Because as I have heard it told, it is very painful and very traumatizing. You lose a part of yourself to make room for another...so to speak. And I enjoy your torment in retribution for your mouth."

"I'm sure. But your a dragon by birth. what knowledge you know of the art may be long outdated as you stayed in your glass sanctuary."
glancing over at her and then down at the elf in question.
"while she possesses little tact, one thing she does have is a very methodical, and dangerous, ability to perceive things...and she's virtually emotionless. there's no scaring her, or unsettling her, or fear. she'll face your teeth, your tail, your wings and not even so much as twitch her eyebrow. no matter how loudly your roar. Her father...he radiates an aura of power. wether it's true in it's strength or supported by his ego and self assurance is another matter. and he has dealt with dragons. living and dead if some of his talk is to be believed."
She gave a slight growl.
"and her bloodstained friend is ever so protective. and he certainly fears no dragon. I'd say he's dealt with our kin before...or he's overly proud of some of his weapons. but the idea that the two of them managed to down and snag Lazy's new home should prove well enough that they can be formidable. I don't like him. her I can understand. but the darker one...I don't like him one bit."
a slight grin though.
"But all the same, they make decent if not temporary, allies. as long as our needs match their needs, they will fight for us, rather then against us. and while they may be annoying allies, I'd prefer more allies then I would enemies."

"You assume things. Scare tactics are far down on my lists of anything. The fear dragons once instilled in other races before we became seen as guardians rarly exists. Only the wilder dragons can instill such thigns these days...and that's usually only after they've eaten a few in front of others." She snorted to that and watched the pair with her out of the corner of her eye. Were they trying to convince her of something? Though she did smirk. "In the end...we can stomach anything." Which meant all other were moot and in the food chain. Perhaps she was a prideful creature for such thoughts but she had no reason to fear things. But she was pretty sure asking nicely was not going to win her anything in this case.
"Protective like an unwanted loyal dog. Elves will always be elves and they will always have the same downfalls even generations to come." Crossing her arms she turned her eyes fully to the two dragons with her. "What are you saying? That you don't want to do this the easy way via her means?"

"I think you'd find her hard to digest."
A slight grin though.
"And while I would like to get this done quicker, I doubt she's going to be easily persuaded to do such. She and I aren't exactly friendly."

Another snort. "I never said this had anything to do with being friendly. You should know as a proclaimed pirate of the sand seas that business and deal will buy anyone fer the right price. If I perhaps didn't know better I would say that you're scared of her. Or perhaps I do know better."

"I don't fear that woman. but I got nothing she wants. jewels and fine clothes mean nothing to her since she's blind. coin means little to her as well. I don't possess any magical trinkets or spell books or anything of that nature she'd be interested in, and I bet if you tried it she'd pull a very hard bargain. It's not a matter of fear it's a problem of I got nothing to bargain with. Which, by the way, is damned frustrating...cause it's not like she'll do it for free or out of the 'goodness of her heart' I'm not exactly sure she has one."

"Being heartless can be considered a good trait these days." Fellnathir gave a chuckle to that before she gave a shake of her head. Apparently Des hadn't gotten to all the things dragons had to offer. "Come now, your body is a pantry of magical materials. You think she won't appreciate that? That elf reaks of being mage trade. They do love any type of apothecary. Another thing of our kind you should be intimate with...we have much to offer any whom chose to strike the right deal."

Desdemona snorted lightly.
"I had to give up scales to get Lazy, I'm not about to give up more for the quick road. and that's if all she wants is scales. she'll bleed you dry if she thinks she'll get away with it. and he just got his nice new body there's no need to be taking parts off of it."
Hunter just gave a shrug.
"hey I've been a dragon what? a few weeks now? what do I know yet about what I can be harvested for. and the last time I got a gift from a dragon a little star eyed annoyance took them away from me. don't think that if she does the same with the elf that the elf won't undo whatever it is your suggesting she can do. But I am all for the quicker route I want my ship back."

"Picky picky." They were no help in this were they? And they wondered why she and hers preferred to stay out of the affairs of others. Some were just not willing to risk all that was needed to further a greater goal. Fear and attachment did them in long before they made progress. Such things needed to be overcome. "I've already taken a tail blade off of it." Just to make a point...not that that belonged to Taerin anyway, but that was beside the point. "One of you lacks the commitment and one of you lacks bargining skills. Care to guess who is who? A vial of blood goes a long way for any mage. But it's not my place to tell you what to do. Merely advise. Either way, you're going hunting when dawn comes."
