Saito's eyes stayed apathetic this time around. He could be caught speechless once, but not twice so quickly. He did his best not to falter this time around. From his suspicions earlier, something like this would've been the turnout.

This man was the leader of /his/ world and he didn't even care to notice him moments ago. He lowered his head, feeling belittled in the presence of so many great people. He was just-- just a child, and these two must've done so much in their few decades on this earth.

He mustered the power to look the man in the face. "My lips are sealed..", he started, his eyes now shining with resolve. He didn't know where to begin. "... I welcome you back Juugodaime Hokage... sama..", he managed, his voice shaking.

"I'm sorry about your parents, my mother also passed away recently.", he stated further, rather quietly. He was tearing up, if only a little. He was a kid after all...

...but noticing the boy tearing up, Zephyr suddenly looked very worried and even almost...guilty...? He drew close to the child, concern in his gold-tinged darkly emerald eyes.

"...sorry." He whispered. When he spoke again, his voice was quietly subdued. "But then...is...is your father really all right with this? To become a shinobi, you are going to be..." Well, he didn't need to finish his words: to become a shinobi was to become exposed to dangers.

But then Zephyr tried cheering up the boy. "Well! I'm sure your mother will be watching over you. And you...you got to know her...see..." But his voice trailed off...his expression almost looked...distant...?

Senju Zephyr was not one for condolences.

"Idiot." He scolded, suddenly. "There's nothing to be sorry for. I know how my old man and lady looks like by a picture, but at least you got to know her." He ruffled the boy's head, mussing up neatly brushed locks almost in a roughly brotherly gesture. But his next words did not match the nonchalant, almost uncaring tone of his voice.

"Because...we walk forward hearing...knowing someone would say 'thank you for being born'."

And we walk forth, unafraid.

He listened intently as the Hokage tried to be... well... the Hokage. As Zephyr ruffled his hair, one of his hairpins slowly slipped. He caught it in time and stared at it. He smirked a bit.

"I don't miss her. To miss her would be to say that... I wanted her away from where she is now. I'm not selfish.", he finished, his voice once again strong. He looked up at Juugodaime, his emerald green eyes brightly shining with courage. "--my father is Hashimi Yakedo, a jonin. He became a shinobi and a husband knowing maybe one day there would be another orphan. I didn't condemn his decision, nor did I condone it. I understood it. "

He took the Hokage's hand and placed one of his hairpin on it. "I despise war, however my mother entrusted me with her Will of Fire. She trusted me to become a guardian of peace. I'm little, I understand, but I know what war can do."

He stopped, his emotionless visage becoming increasingly fierce. (as much as a 12 year old's could be) "I wan't to prevent what happened only a few years ago. I want to dislocate these allies of hatred and such illogical practices.", he looked down in his palm. Hokage, I want to have the strength to save this village...", he stopped finally, done with his rambling, or so he thought. All the emotion and thought since his mother died coming out then. He would've never said all this to a stranger, but this man wasn't one, it didn't feel like it. He was the man he wanted to be.

A harsh bark of laughter, unfitting with his face, escaped Zephyr's lips.

"Don't we all hate it now." Said Zephyr, scoffingly, on war. He looked intently at the boy. This child...he was a strange one, for a fledgling. And as Zephyr looked down, his eyes becoming heavily lidded with the fluidity of the motion, he continued. "You know, not everyone has the choice." It was true, the fate of the noble clans lies within the shinobi profession...they had no other choice. "Do you even understand what becoming a "guardian of peace" means?"

"You will have fun and games in the Academy, probably." Probably? Zephyr's expression was unreadable. "And perhaps you will enjoy your Genin years, by your teammates' side... But a guardian of peace? Give up kid, shinobis can't do that. Idealistic reasoning does not make the profession any better than it is."

"Something as pure as peace can't come from something as filthy as violence." Zephyr gestured aback, towards the village. "The village you see before you grew great destroying the very thing you are opting to fight for. Proud peoples conquered, more corpses than you can count with the passing of the ages. Trampling upon allies, destroying enemies...being a shinobi isn't fun and games, boy. It's war, and you become not a person for the village, but a weapon of war."

Are you still willing...to fight for such a place?

But there was a tinge of sorrow in his eyes.

"Don't call me that. Shinrei is fine." He looked away. "I never wanted it, because, I still see that title belonging to someone very special to me. He once said, long ago, that power can change everything." A soft, breathing pause. "And know what? He lied."

Rasen lied...
...because he died.
And in a moment, the only father-figure he knew was gone.

"When you become powerful, it is only natural to attract enemies, no matter how righteous you are. His pretty logic didn't save him, in the end. But he loved Konoha..." Zephyr added, softly. "The Juudaime Hyuuga Rasen was a selfish man to the end, but he loved Konoha. But heh, what am I saying...it's a stupid little thing, isn't it...?"

Unexpectedly, he gave a soft grin.

He didn't fight for Konoha to be its weapon.

"Because he loved the village, I can love it, too. You don't fight for something as idealogical as peace, but you do fight for your home. And fight, fight all you wish. Fight to keep the ones who love you smiling."

He knew, of the inevitable request...
...and suddenly, he was afraid.

Saito's views were challenged, and in this moment, he was too worked up and too emotional to further look for mistakes in Zephyr's logic. Zephyr had seen a lot more than him, he was right. He could speak about all that he saw in books

He wasn't the one too argue a baseless view. Why did he have no hopes for peace-- he was the Hokage.

"The First Hokage centuries ago formed Konohagakure no Soto because he was also weary with war with the rest of the world, and formed peace with the Uchiha Clan. They're still here, to this day.", he looked down, pondering this. Realistically, peace may not be impossible to attain, but it was pretty near it.

He looked up once more. "I agree then, I am flawed in my logic. it changes nothing however... my mother wanted me to protect Konohagakure...", he took the hairpin and placed it in his hair, still in deep thought.

"I'm very confused... but I know that I wish for you to teach me. I'm competant, and hardships don't effect me. I'm not choosing this life to have fun.", he muttered, wincing, once again making sure he chose his words carefully. "Please..."

Takeshi wasn't so sure about his next Bunshin no Jutsu attempt. His chakra control had been slipping with each successful clone, and now it was getting to the point where he was just above failing. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the chakra running throughout his body. He tried to visualize his chakra system, though he had no idea what it actually looked like, so he tried to wing it. One by one he went through the hand seals, feeling the chakra points in his body active as he did the hand seals. When they opened or closed, he concentrated on rerouting the chakra to open points on his body, which would activate the jutsu. Soon, enough he was through all four hand seals, and would open his to see if he succeeded.

To his surprise, when Takeshi opened his eyes, he saw not one, but two clones looking back at him. Oddly enough, without him actually doing anything consciously or subconsciously, as soon as the smoke cleared, the clones said, "Good job," in unison. Though it could have been the shock or his lack of any chakra, he almost fainted, falling backwards. His clones tried to catch him, but without the chakra to sustain the jutsu, they dispersed. Takeshi fell backward, blacking out for a moment, but he woke back up in time to use his hands stop the fall. Instead of falling straight on the ground, he ended up falling on the seat of his pants. "Whew, that was... incredible," he said panting between each word.
Bunshin no Jutsu Part 2
The second part of the training would be to create the actual clones by using the learned handseals. To successfully create a clone, the student would have to have a total DC of 5. With every interval of 5, the student would make a clone.
5 = 1 clone (-1cp)
10 = 2 clones (-2cp)
15 = 3 clones (-3cp)
20 = 4 clones (-4cp)
If a student only has 3 CP, then he cannot create 4 clones, even if his total roll is 20. Resting for one post will gain back +2 Cp (temporary, only for this lesson). They must successfully complete the Jutsu 4 times, regardless of how many clones they create.
Formula: 15 + -1 + 1 (from Yarotai) = 15
Cp: 2 - 2 = 0
Train: 3/4
Rewards: +1 Chakra

Yarotai never let his signature grin wane as Takeshi produced not just one but two clones. The lack of chakra to make a third or even keep the two around for very long was rather apparent to the Chuunin, with the fall being inevtiable.

The other child taking his leave wasn't all to suprising to the young man since he seemed the type to just wander off and do his own thing. Speaking of which the teacher hadn't seen the Nara around the area in some time. With the exams close at hand he wondered if the kid would make it in time to take part in them. There were more pressing matters to attend to at the moment however with the Uchiha's training.

"Good. Now just stay down there and rest up for a couple minutes. No need to have you black out on us three times in one morning."

"Eeeh? So the genin exams are today? What are you doing here, then? Sure, training will make you stronger, but what's the point in all that if it makes you exhausted during the exams. And what if you show up late?" Chouko scolded, her hands on her hips.

Was this kid really a Nara? Even an idiot like her knew that the very last thing you wanted to do before any test was to wear yourself out. Get a lot of sleep, eat breakfast, and show up early. No point in preparing for the exams if it cost you attendance. They don't make someone a shinobi if he doesn't take his duties seriously enough to show up on time. Though perhaps she was a bit harsh on her thoughts of the boy. This kid may be Sa-chan's little brother, but he wasn't Sa-chan herself.

"You might think you're tough enough to handle it, but the exams are a lot harder than you think. I would know."

And Sa-chan's little brother didn't look like he had much muscles on him either. He probably spent more time hitting the books than testing his endurance. Or playing weird logic games like an old man. There was no way he could have the energy in him to pull something like this off.

"You should seriously rest."

Rhaim simply shifted his body weight from his left leg to his right as the larger girl continued to scold him for training. His hands sat easily in his pockets as he considered that this had to be a test from his sisters to see if he'd take advantage of an excuse to stop training and be complacent. There was no way that they would ever advocate or let him get away with slacking off. And since this was one of their hencemen she was clearly just trying to play mind games with the young boy. There was no way that he was going to allow himself to fall for a simple trap like that one. He'd continue training and once she left to report her findings to his sister he'd slip up into a tree for a nap. It was a shakey plan at best.

"Well thanks to you talking to me I am rested. Now my mind is clear to continue training."

With that the Nara boy turned back to the trees with the tags alittle ways away from him. He brouht his hands back to eye level and concentrated on properly forming and utilizing his chakra.

Rhaim was more than a little shocked at the fact that without hesitation or flaw the tag on the first tree exploded exactly when he commanded it to. Perhaps the fact that he had stopped to converse with the girl was the actual reason that he had accomplished the technique for the first time that day. His thrill level was so high that he hardly even noticed the heat from the explosian licking at his face. His eyes which had gone to a normal opening level closed back down to their normal squint as the boy finally exhaled. He didn't want to lose momentum from his training or the seemingly luckly charm in the form of the girl beside him. Regardless of whether her pressence had anything to do with his success or not, he was going to hope that it did. Without skipping a beat the Nara focused his sights and mind on the second tag hoping that the same results would ensue.

Rhaim wished that he could say that he knew exactly what had gone wrong and why he done so perfectly one second and then so terribly the next. However the fact of the matter was that he had no idea why the second tag still remained hanging on the tree ahead of him. Perhaps the blast from the first one had distrupted the chakra flow in the area or something like that. At any rate the boy let out a soft inaudible sigh at the fact that once again he had wasted his time training to learn the jutsu. And in fact had only succeded in using up the exploding tags that had cost him his entire paycheck from the monkey mission. Oddly enough he found himself torn as to whether or not he wanted to continue since it meant that he might destroy another tag and thereby his chance to train the next day as well. Though he imagined that after the genin exams he'd have to report back to team one and conduct whatever training they had anyways.

With little to no care as to the outcome the Nara began molding chakra to perform the jutsu one last time that day. After the release of which he turned to the Akimichi.

"Well I guess I'll have to rest now. Thanks for the offer."

Tairu saw the young boy clamp himself onto Yokou-sama's leg but he took no notice of it. To Tairu it was simply another being increasing the kind power that Yokou-sama represented. He was bout to return to his training when the boy suddenly assumed a new form. He was now Zephyr the Hokage. Tairu was mystified until he remembered the Henge no Jutsu and dismissed it as Hokage business for he did not question his elders. Though Tairu was unsure of why he hadn't noticed a second large chakra source during his earlier training. This fact bugged Tairu so after acknowledging his agreement to silence with a simple bow Tairu decided to find out why he hadn't noticed the Hokage earlier. With the remembrance of Yokou-sama's kind words and his determination to satisfy his curiosity Tairu became determined to gaze upon the Hokage's chakra.

Tairu quickly formed the 48 hand seal sequence required for the Byakugan as he not only set out to see the Hokage's chakra but to continue with his training for Juuken Kempo Ryuu. The hand seals flashed before his eyes as Tairu formed each one; Kiri, Dragon, Vajra, Tiger, Ram, Dharma, Shawa, Dharma, Horse, Tiger, Om, Kiri | Dragon, Vajra, Tiger, Ram, Dharma, Shawa, Dharma, Horse, Tiger, Om, Kiri, Dragon | Vajra, Tiger, Ram, Dharma, Shawa, Dharma, Horse, Tiger, Om, Kiri, Dragon, Vajra | Tiger, Ram, Dharma, Shawa, Dharma, Horse, Tiger, Om, Kiri, Dragon, Vajra, Tiger.

"Byakugan"

After forming every hand seal with deadly proficiency and speed Tairu felt the familiar veins that appeared around his eyes when his Byakugan activated. He quickly looked at Zephyr to examine his chakra.

That's strange? Tairu thought. It's hardly any stronger looking than my own?

Perhaps Yokou-sama can tell me about it later.

"The Shodaime built Konoha on a dream..." Said Zephyr, softly. "...but he brought more tragedy, in the end." Would it...have perhaps been better? If the shinobi system - the cycle that brought about all these wars and bitter rivalries - had not been set in the first place. And perhaps so, or perhaps not...who knows...who knows...?

The world may have been worse off.

In the end, the glory of Senju Hashirama's name had been tainted by its very prestige. No empire stands forever under the sun, but the royal family, seeking eternity for an ephemeral power, sold themselves to the devil: resorting to any means necessary to perserve the bloodline of the thousand-armed Goddess of Mercy. And they paid the price dearly for the power they so desperately clung to, but the price for going against the will of Heaven...

A bloodline as filthy as it was pure, and where innocent, youthful hands should be white and clean, are stained crimson with blood.

"Once, long ago, there were two brothers - both children of the Rikudo Sennin, the founding father of the shinobi world. In the fairytale, the two brothers fought to their last breath...and their descendants, the Uchiha, children of the Elder, and Senju, children of the Younger, bears the eternal enimity."

The passing breeze took with its bated breath an array of tender green leaves, and Zephyr gently plucked a single leaf from the air before he began again. "I wonder, sometimes, what the Shodaime thought. And maybe...he tried very hard to change it." There was a soft pause, before he continued. "But sometimes, I think too, it's all for vain... I had a Student once, a Uchiha, who I had sworn to protect...I believed the fairytale to be merely what it was - a legend - in the end, I nearly destroyed that very child I watched grow with my own eyes, with my own hand, he...standing as an enemy of Konoha."

He could teach Kazuma without qualm, because that child...that child was not Konohagakurian. Because...

"I want to say, that is one request I cannot grant..." He hesitated. "But I do wonder..." His voice trailed off again, as he looked down to the boy. "If it is all right to believe again, I would like to...really." He added, with a soft smile. Saito would not notice that Zephyr had taken the hairclip that the child had tried to offer to him.

He had ruined three young lives, yet still, they made him human in turn. If it was all right...

If it was all right to feel again.

He took a single step forth, his sandaled feet crushing underfoot the fallen leaves on the ground - but they noiseless with the spring dew - and stopping to turn, on his finger for a single long moment, balanced evenly, was the hairclip, it's tapered ends to pale skin, before flipping it once into the air, he took it to his palm, and enclosed over the item his fingers, held into a fist.

"That's a good boy." He said. "Make your mother, and Konohagakure, proud. Let's meet properly now..." He extended his fist towards Saito. "Shinrei may be my birth name, but I am Zephyr - the name my master gave - first. There are people in this village I will not see to losing. And boy, name yourself and your nindo..."

"...get ready for some serious hell."

Unlike Yokou, he did not coddle students.

Tairu gazed upon the Hokage and was stunned as he realized that he was right about earlier. The chakra swirling around the Hokage's chakra circulatory system was indeed a small amount. Is he hurt like I was? I'm sure Yokou-sama has seen it. But if she had seen it wouldn't she have done something about? No, it is not my place to ask these questions. Tairu thought as pondered the mystery before him. After Tairu brought his attention back to his Byakugan Tairu could feel himself becoming drained. His breath was becoming short as his chakra reserves passed the half way mark. Tairu tried to regulate his chakra use as he maintained his Byakugan instead of deactivating it.

It was tough but Tairu held on. This was an endurance training and Tairu knew how important it was. This type of training would allow him to keep his Byakugan active while he fought an opponent; which meant that the length of time that his Byakugan remained active could be the difference between life and death. As a result of this Tairu kept his mind focused on chakra control in order to help minimize his loss of chakra as he also tried to strain it so that he would cause his amount of chakra to grow.

Tairu breathed heavily as the low amount of chakra began to really start to effect his body. Sweat began to bead up on his for head and cheeks as Byakugan consumed chakra like a forest fire consumes wood. It was indeed taxing but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger in one way or another. Tairu wanted to look around at his surroundings with the Byakugan but he knew that he had to maintain his focus or else he might allow his whole chakra reserve to be drained. That was of course incredibly dangerous according tho the information Tairu had read during his first aid lesson. Now was not the time to dwell on the past or future, time only allowed for the present at the moment.

Tairu had stopped focusing on maintaining his Byakugan as he got caught up in worrying about the dangerous of chakra depletion. Focus, focus, focus. I must maintain my focus so that I can maintain my Byakugan during a fight. Tairu was angry with himself to say the least. Tair breathed in deep and stretched his arms as he relized that he had been holding Tiger hand seal the whole time his Byakugan was active. Now his hands felt a little sore too.
