Travelling for quite some time Primorfius lowered himself to the ground. It appeared to be a large rut in the sand. Slowly filling in with snad from the wind, it stretced from his left to the right as far as he could see.

"It would appear the ship came through here. Lets hope there is less trouble this time."

Lifting himself off the ground once again, he suddenly realized he didnt know which way the ship was headed. After sufficient power was gathered he took off at a run toward his left. Making sure his pace was quick enough to catch up, but still slow enough to be careful of not being seen.

Iridia smiled charmingly, laughing a little at the comment about "eyeballing", still in the back of her head recalling her need to follow Less. "I'll do everything in my power to keep from letting them roll around," she said, winking a little for emphasis.

"Very good. Because I've seen a man let an eyeball or two get away from him. It's not a pretty sight to watch him scramble after it." Chuckling at his own picture he had formed in his head. He'd have to keep an eye on this one. Just to sure. A snap of his fingers brought his impromptu first mate to him with a map and he looked it over. Hm...needed to dock. There was one atoll nearby that had a small outpost. Supposed that would do.

After travelling for some time the rift left behind the ship was become less obvious and filling in with sand more and more. I must have headed the wrong way. Realizing his error, he set off in the other direction in much more of a hurry. This time he decided to cut the path and try and set off to where the ship might be headed. Since the ship doesnt make an exactly straight line, he might have the chance to cut infront the ship on its present course... to where that is he didnt now.

Iridia too had the same mental image, but quickly set it aside. Cute and harmless, she reminded herself. As the woman watched, a man came up to the two, and the Captain's emotions began to change. A bit of concern, she sensed, but that was not all. Hurry. They were going to have to change something soon, which meant that the direction they were headed (toward Less) would either change, or come to a halt.

Without a change in her features, Iridia sent waves of calm onto the people around her. There was plenty of time, no hurry, no need to change anything. These were the feelings she forced herself to feel, and in doing so tried to push them upon those around her. It was what her people were known for, but amongst these people her kind were not even heard of...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A quick black streak hurried, obviously chasing something, though there was nothing in sight. The black streak was a feline, hurrying across the desert plain, passing through walls and fading to nothing before materializing again as its purple eyes remained focused on one point.
The large Shadow Cat came to a stop at the eying of something feathery over the horizon. Her vision zoomed in on someone she had seen before, and the cat saw clearly that this thing, or individual, was in her way. Letting out a growl, the beast hurried toward the obstacle, coming to an abrupt stop, without even causing a n** in the sand, in front of the bird-man. No footsteps were behind her, but her purple eyes gazed menacingly at the human-esque being in front of her as she let out a deep growl.
How many supplies did they have anyway? Sure, feeding dragons was a task in itself but at the same time dragons could hunt out of the sands directly. Stopping in port meant that there was the potential for thier less than friendly fellow sand goers could get a better handle on them. Fang especially. Hm. Though at the same time he wasn't feeling so apprehensive about it either. A look to the man with him then, "Send a message over to Captain Neerem. See how her supplies and the like are fairing."
Focusing his eyes on the horizon, he could only see objects in the long distant regions of the area. He felt a slight moment of weightlessness as he fell from cresting the dune. Climbing another dune, he heard the slightest of sound from what must be the wind. Primorfius let the floating sand die and dropped to the ground. Quiet, most quiet. On his hands and knees, his eyes slowly accustomed back to normal vision. Slowly he crawled his way up the dune side. Hmmm... the taste of the air does see familiar. It better not be any quazits this time...
About to crest the top he pulled one wikazashi and placed it behind his back. Peering over the top his eyes met four small pillars blackish fluff. Oh... this fur ball.
Slowly erecting himself he saw the purple eyes of the Moor, not to unlike in color to his own. Now standing, he noticed nothing else was even in the vicinity. No trail, footprints, or ship. Just the cat, and her... NO! The women wans't even here.
He slowly slid the sword back into its scabbard. "So, fluffy... see any mice lately? We could share. No. How about a nice game of cards?" The moor let out a deep growl. I could probably learn to like this cat if it didn't look at me like I was dinner... or if it played cards.
"How much longer must I keep doing this?"
He was still playing her kite, and while things seemed to be going smoothly, her tossing things at him to make him play dodgeball was getting on his nerves.
"Until Fell says otherwise. you muscle memory is great, but you still gotta train your mind to react accordingly. But I imagine we'll be stopping soon to eat all the same."
throwing another rock at him just to do so and paying attention to his movements.
She was silently watching, though she did allow herself a smile or two at the antics. Hey, even she could be amused. Though her attention had turned at present to other things. Both on the ship and off of it. Fellnathir shifted her weight between her feet in aggitated manner. "He can stop. Let him perch with us, play his balance some." Crossing her arms she watched again. Most of their kind moved with an agility that baffled the minds of others, it just needed to be nurtured. "Tell me...the elves with you. Are they from here?" Hm...
Not sure why the Moor was this far in the dessert alone, he didn't want to annoy the cat anymore then he did last time. Unsure what to do, he did what he thought might start any friednship in the this dry land. Bringing out his skin of water, he coalesced some sand to a solid rock bowl and filled it with water. He then placed the bowl on the ground in front of the Moor a short length away and took a full swallow of the liquid to show that it was drinkable.
Hoping the cat would except the water, he hoped even more that he didn't lose his mind in front of the cat and cause trouble before he could get anything resolved. But for now, all he could do was wait...
"See, there you go."
Tugging on his line to get him and helping him perch up on the mast and helping him a bit with his balance.
"see, not so bad now is it being a kite."
"speak for yourself. your not the one that gets to be the kite and then a fishing lure...but thank you all the same for the help."
balancing wasn't hard at all considering he'd spent decades learning to balance like this anyhow. and yes he was minding his manners. stupid dragoness' and their needs for manners.
She snorted at their lack of answer to her question. Wrapped up in one another. One of them was at least infatuated and had been since things had seemingly fallen into more favorable natures. Well then she would just have to figure that answer out for herself...though she was sure her methods would be less than appreciated. If she did it the way she wanted to that was. After all...the one radiated a power that belonged to someone else. Such a feeling did not sit well with Fellnathir at all...for she knew the feeling.
She was tempted to call it theivery, and she was not opposed to chewing up said elf to get back what she had taken from the sands. Some things were left better alone. Unfortunately ambitious others did not understand such things. The one...she was a threat just as a Rider was a threat. Threats would not be tolerated.
"Tomorrow we will work on teaching you to catch your own food. You will have to learn the quiet way first. Maybe it will drum up a few more instincts in you as well. Like your breath weapon and such. Though we'll try to not cause too much notice. Last thing I need is to be rescuing you from a pack of Riders looking to reclaim whom they believe to be one of their commanders." And the elf could come too, to be dealt with. There was plenty of pretense to invite her along.
A glance at her...the feeling of annoyance palpable and guessing it was from not answering her right away.
"the elves..well...the light skinned one is definately from someplace else. the dark skinned one, I'm not entirely sure if he's been here a long time or not."
and then a nudge at Hunter.
"See, your going to get to play in the sands tomorrow for being a good sport."
Hunter was more preoccupied with testing his wings and tail to really hear her question.
"Savyrn is from some other place. and her father has a tendancy to show up if she gets messed with. and she has her own tricks and she's not to be underestimated."
PostPosted: Tue Mar 16, 2010 8:06 pm
"And you've...convinced them to help you?" Being from somewhere was one explanation, but that did not account for what clung to the elf still. Very few times had she experienced such feelings before and the plausible explanation that went with them. Didn't mean she was going to ignore it all either. However, her questions seemed reasonable seeing as she was traveling with them as well until Hunter was in working order. Information was always a friend on the Sand Seas.
"Don't fidget too much." She raised her eyebrow to what one could call a warning. "Tangled with the elf have you?" It got a light chuckle from her. "I fear no elf. The point to this remains...she made you what you are. And while we can teach you how to be and how to move, she can force you to know such things much quicker. From all your whining, I was under the impression that you wanted this to happen quickly, so that you may get your ship back. Yes?"
"well the light skinned one is very...business oriented. she's in it for herself, but aiding others to achieve her goals works for her. the darker one I swear is some kind of mercenary. apparently we just happen to share a similar goal or traveling only a similar path. she had magical means, we had transportation, and apparently she also agreed to give Lazy grief."
Hunter grumbled lightly.
"she and I have tangled a few times. I tangled with her father once. both are more then annoying problems. and little miss necromancer has lord knows how many undead things in her robes. I think she even has a dragon in there someplace. and who knows where she got that from."
then a slight pricking of an eyebrow.
"I was unaware a dragon like yourself would know of this necromancy she uses..or knew it had that kind of use. why didn't we just get that done in the first place?"
