Quinn walked for a short period of time, and then the wind blew again. He stopped and turned a bit, almost missing Remus standing almost right in front of him. Quinn laughed and shook his head slightly, as he nearly missed his friend right before him. The woman with him, Quinn wondered if she was the Lady Asanti that had been spoken so highly of in so many places.
Click, click, click, the clicking of the tip of Quinn's staff against the ground could be heard as he approached Remus and his friend. He pulled his robes around himself, hiding the contents of his robes and most of his body. He made sure to keep his ring hand hidden. It cost Quinn very much to get the ring, and he was not about to lose it.
When he finally reached Remus he said, "It's been a long time my lycan friend. You are quite hard to find nowadays. Everyone wants you dead, but no one can tell me where you are. Tracking your aura is quite difficult."
He turned to the lady vampire and bowed slightly, not removing his eyes from her, "Quinn Siddel, Sage of Manjit. You are Lady Asanti I presume? Many speak highly of your work. Be wary however, as many also speak curses on your name. You have just as many enemies as you do supporters."

Tyran blinked at him before nodding, "Lina-sensei and Lady Merlin both taught me the consequences of such an action." he grimaced at the memory, "The human phrase: 'Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn' comes to mind..."

Dorien grinned This one is stronger than the other physically, but the battle of wills....that will be a true fight.

Lina bowed in return, her white robes moving with as she nodded, "That I am. And I appreciate your warnings although they a not needed. Signet City is filled enemies and allies as all cities are." He reyes flashed white before she smiled, "It is good to meet a friend of Remus for once."

Remus smiled as the two finished their introductions. He was glad that the two seemed to get along. "Well Quinn, you can't expect me to be found easily. If you could find me easily, so could my enemies, and then I lose my head." It felt good to actually see an old friend that hadn't backstabbed him. "Quinn, I feel I should also tell you, Lina and I are engaged."

Monaleth watched Tien go and signalled for the guards to return to their posts in relief. It is over...for now... she thought, as she turned her gaze over to Jack, "The fact that you would sacrifice your life for her says many things about you.." she said as she walked towards them, "You have a great respect for women. That is something Tara needs to see more often. Especially since he has returned..."

Jack roared with laughter and smacked Tyran on the back mightily, "You got it!" He grinned broadly then his gaze flickered to Monaleth and he sobered a bit, clearing his throat, "Could you give me a little background on her brother? What's his damage?" He asked.

Quinn chuckled slightly at Lina and Remus, "Please forgive me Lady Asanti. It is in my nature to give out the warnings as I do. A Sage of Manjit spends their time helping those around them, informing them of the here and now, allowing them to get in touch with their surroundings. And you, Remus, didn't have to tell me that you're engaged. A Lycan and Vampire Engagment would not go unnoticed; I've heard about it all over the place. I don't know if you've had an information leak from your base, but the news travelled quickly."
Straightening himself out, Quinn looked around for a moment. The city was a strange place, one that he was not used to. It had been so long since Quinn had been in Signet, and so many things had changed.
Suddenly Quinn's silver eyes flashed and he turned back to Lina, "M'Lady, who is the one they call Dorien? Lady Merlin of the Nocturne mentioned the name to me, and I feel I should know who he is. He has quite the powerful and dark aura..."

Remus shrugged. "Whether you'd heard it or not, it is only polite to inform ones friends of things like this." At the mention of Dorian, Remus stiffened. He didn't like to think about the fact that he was no longer contained.

Tyran let out a small sound of surprise at the sudden movement, wincing slightly. He was strong, but not by powerful standards. The boy grinned before Jack began to talk about Tien.

Lina sighed waving the subject of a leak away. Everyone knew by now, it was just how this city was. Nothing could be kept secret for long. She felt Remus stiffen and looked at Quinn closely, "Have you ever heard of the Ten Leaders? He is the eighth and one of the most brutal. It is his spiritual energy that surrounds the Nocturne you felt, but I don't think we have anything to worry about...even though he should be contained.."

Monaleth watched this small interaction in amusement, folding her arms as she said, "He is Tien Sulla, the second oldest her siblings. I don't believe he can match you strengthwise, but with speed and mental ability, he is an expert. Being trained by a..." he trailed off, not sure how to say this, "By a woman who has never been matched mentally helps him. He's made many insane and can practically control a person's mind at will."
It was strange for her to know so much, but she knew about most of the noble familes since her family usually guarded them, "As for his relationship with Tara...I don't need to tell you that now do I?"

Quinn looked back toward the Nocturne, his eyes still molten silver. The evil aura that he felt could not have been one that was 'contained' and he knew it. A brutal leader, one of the ten, it all sounded familiar to Quinn but he could not be sure.
Quinn leaned on his staff and closed his eyes. Slowly the color came back to his face. When he opened his eyes again he looked completely normal, minus the heavy leaning on the staff, "The stories of the Ten Leaders is one that I have had told to me many times. I was not around at the time of their rule, but I've met several people who were. Many of them were killed along the way, but I conversed with them before hand. Some were glad that the Leaders were gone, some like the chaos, some want them back, it's hard to say. I have yet to form an opinion, but it was that madness that cost me my family and friends. I lean more toward bringing back the leaders then leaving them gone."
Quinn chuckled to himself, a small tear rolling down his cheeck. Crying was the one thing that he never did. It showed weakness, a weakness that he hated with a passion, "I am a Sage of Manjit, Lady Asanti. When I was much younger my home was attacked and destroyed by someone, or something. By some dumb luck I lived through it. And now I find myself here, looking for work."

Lina sighed, understanding comepletely, "The Separation between the species was a horrible massacre. I lost many of my family from that as well. All of us did." After a moment curiousity flashed through her eyes, "If you heard one that was usually called Death, then you'll understand why we are concerned."

Quinn tapped his staff against the ground twice and spoke a few words in the Rith-Kiran tongue. The crown on the head of his staff flashed a bright, white light, and then subsided just as soon as it had come. When the light was gone, Quinn was in much better condition. He held himself higher, the tears were gone, etc.
"I've heard but a few stories, M'Lady, and none concerned one referred to as Death." Quinn smiled slightly, "It's one word I've come to not fear. I've seen it, I've caused it, I've been inches from it, it's nothing foreign to me. I can defend myself when necessary, even if for just short time."

"Then those were the younger elders," Lina said, sighing once again, "The stories about Dorien are in told to human children to keep them behaved, but they don't believe he ever existed. But he's real and by the sense of things...already planning something."

"I am here to serve." Quinn replied simply, "As I said, I am a Sage of Manjit. I've been trainned fully in the arts of Elemental and Summoning Magic. If there is way that I can be of service to you, then you must merely speak the word."
Quinn's eyes drifted over to the Nocturn again. The place had a chill aura with Dorien still there.
