Laurent glanced at them, then stood up and walked to the door. "I need to go get supplies. I'll return before you leave." Then he slipped out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Tamryn blinked, a faint blush in her cheeks as she glanced back at Sophie before looking at their new friends. She asked, rather directly, "So what are you running from?"

Ausan looked at Tamryn, but quickly broken eye contact and began to stare at the floor.
"I'm not sure exactly who or what is taking attempts on Ausan's life," Symas said with a sigh, "But I won't rest easy knowing she's in danger."
Ausan's face flushed as Symas talked to the others.

Tamryn looked at them seriously. "So would you like our help or not? We were kind of between quests at the moment. We might be able to help you out."

Sophie kept her chin on Tamryn's shoulder, gazing at their new acquaintances intently.

"I'd have no problem with it, but I can only speak for myself," Symas said with a smile, "But I suppose the final answer will have to come from Ausan."
Ausan looked up at the others and quietly replied, "It's fine with me, I suppose."

Sophie lifted her chin from Tamryn's shoulder and grinned. "Great! We're with ya, then!" She let go of Tamryn and stood up. "But we've got to wait for Laurent, he's with us too."

Symas walked towards the window and looked out the window. "I may ask," Symas began, "Why are you traveling? You don't seem like the type so idly wander about."
Ausan lets out a small yawn as she wipes the sleep from her eyes.

"Magic!" Sophie said cheerily, smiling at them. She slowly moved Tamryn from her lap and stood up, putting her hands on her hips. "I'm training to be an expert hexblade, and I must learn more magic in order to do so. So, I'm out traveling to new places."

"I see," Symas said, "My older sister fights similar to a hexblade, though she uses blades she materializes from magic rather than corporeal swords."

"Yeah, well, I don't have nearly the amount of concentration needed in order to hold a sword materialized by magic... I mean, I'm really jumpy and a bit of a space case, so you know!" she said, giggling a little. She didn't seem to act like the mature, older woman she was.

"Yeah, my sis is very disciplined when it comes to her magic use," he explained, "I seen her ravage entire hordes of goblins with a single spell."
Ausan gasped as Symas explained. "She sounds amazing."
"That she is," Symas continued, "Same with my younger sister, though her power is a little more... potent."

"It does sound rather impressive," said Tamryn, nodding her head seriously. She acted more serious for a younger woman, as opposed to Sophie. "Did you have a place you were going? We can look for magic for Sophie on the way there."

"Cool! Maybe I should ask your sister to teach me a bit of magic." she said, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. Then she stopped to wait for an answer to Tamryn's question.

"I suppose if you ever meet her you could ask," Symas says turning back to the others, "As for a destination, I hadn't really one in mind, but I'm open to suggestions."
