The hole opened a few inches, then abruptly stopped. The third mage was definitely back in the game - Jacob could feel mana saturating the wall, feeling for any disturbance.

Suddenly Paul knew what to do.
And then it was Pauls, plural. They all knew what to do, and that was to point their guns at the Tyrgani operatives, create earth rounds of intense strength and accuracy to harm things, etc. They didn't fire yet - there was probably a good reason for this, like shooting would give away Paul's real position. But this ought to wreak havoc on the Tyrgani's visualization process.
Darius, meanwhile, lit up massive amounts of fire all around one of the Tyrgani, the idea being that since the fire was only two feet away, it would eventually roast him alive with all the heat pouring off of it. At the very least, make him uncomfortable and sweaty.

Jacob yawned and reached into his pocket, searching for something he may have prepared earlier. Maybe those explosive marbles he was thinking about.
He also wondered what happened to the others.

The Shadowmen looked at the Pauls for a moment, and soon seemed to be able to distinguish Paul from his mimics. There was, it seemed, some sort of distinguishing trait.
--
Jacob found two glass bead bombs he'd asked Linda to enchant for him, but had been too caught up in training to make anything himself.

((Joe... Have you noticed they deal with things by dodging?
Paul: Yes. Each form of magic user has different strengths and weaknesses; one of the Shadowmen's strengths is that their Tyrgani tech lets them see certain differences in the mana around you that you're creating.))

Jacob grinned and took one of the glass bead bombs. Linda was great. He figured that, seeing as Linda was pretty much the best Enchanter ever, that these beads would definitely have some kick behind them.
He took a knee and rolled it gently through the hole in the wall.
Once the bead was through the wall, Jacob made to activate it.

The Shadowman in the ring of fire, though his armor was temperature-insulated, was nervous about it, he moved towards it tentatively; as his field passed around it, the fuel-less fire fizzled out. He walked through unhindered.
--
The hole Jacob attempted to open sealed quickly.
The marble was halfway through.
It was crushed with a small cracking noise.
"Oh s**t, something weird is going on!" one of the elementalists called out. "Everyone back off!" Jacob could feel a massive mana buildup in the wall.
((You need to find a way to trap them that will sustain itself even in an REF))

The room was nothing but stone, metal, and mounds of dead bodies.
((Dude, the fire isn't even that good of a way. These are like Keyiro Mitheinous' suit, and if you recall what the dA says about it, it basically makes outside and inside temperature independent... you can't do the cook-him-alive thing and even with the fire there he could just walk on through.
And srsly Joe, post in WoP or the wiki moar.))
