Trigramatic "It's more like there's some sort of pressure that if you're not perfect around them, you'll wind up with a beak in your ribcage," Tails explained. "I was a little freaked out by you too. But then you held me close and I was never scared again~" That Articuno didn't peck at his hand suggested to him that he was doing something right for Articuno, and he didn't stop. "Arrrr..." The bird spoke again. Yea, this was getting good. "Heheh, well..." I put my arm around Tails. "I kinda got that effect on people, really. At any rate, have you seen Tristen by chance?" I asked.

"Umm...no, I haven't," Tails said. "Not since I went to sleep on the couch. I think maybe he took Miles' letter to study it. Or did you take it, Blizz?"
Though Tails knew scratching was kind of a thing to mammals, he wasn't quite brave enough to try it on Articuno. Articuno seemed pleased enough with the current dynamic anyway.

"No, I actually took it back." I said to him. "As soon as you and Tristen were done with it, I took it and stashed it." I said. Tristen really at the moment sat by for a moment, outside. After that whole ordeal on the train, he was lamenting on the fact he was a bit out of his league. Screw ups left and right...sure, he may have redeemed himself in one light or another, but. He wondered how his Pokemon took the whole ordeal...as such, he stood by his own bird...his Natu.

"Ooh. Well..."
Tails went silent with thought. He wasn't sure where Tristen might be. He wondered if it had to do with Mikey. Or if talking about girlfriends got Tristen to think about it.
"Was it hard for you to read that letter like it was for me?"

Though, when I was starting to learn how to read it, well...not as easy." I told him. "I guess you can thank our time in Hyda for that."

This was what Tails had thought. It was a matter of practice. Still, there was something he couldn't work out from the letter. "What's mercury poisoning?"

"Well, mercury is a type of metal. Like...a liquid metal really. Real heavy stuff, alright? Well, this metal is really really toxic if one had too much of it. And apparently Mikey got exposed to enough to where Miles had to resort to trying to rid him of it somehow." I explained to Tails.

Tails understood the concept of mercury, but he had never heard of it until now. The thought of a liquid metal meant only one thing: "So it's superheated, right?" he asked.

Odd stood outside HQ with the newest addition to his team. "Alright, I'm going to call you Dissonance." The teenager informed the Golett, who only quirked it's head at him as if it didn't understand. "Oh....right......You're entire species is from an era long past, huh?" He asked of the creature. It nodded and he tried to think of a way to explain it. "Dissonance is like discord in music. It breaks the harmony for a while before everything comes back together to work with fluidity and harmony once again."He explained, as best he could. Golett still didn't quite understand but it acquiesced at last, accepting the name. It seemed rather indifferent to it's previous trainer. Possibly to him as well.
Golett were ancient golems, after all, automatons that gained life through the supernatural. Perhaps emotion was just something they didn't understand? He only hoped that Dissonance would learn to trust him and want to be his Pokemon, eventually. He didn't like the thought of one of his team not wanting him to be their trainer.

I couldn't find Sub last night, so I gave it a rest and got some sleep. Today has been kind of a lazy day. I kinda wanted it that way, given how much everyone put into thwarting that cult in Olivine. I even told.... well, forced Samurai to take it easy today. I don't know what's gotten into him, but he seems determined to run himself into the ground. Could it be he keeps being reminded of his loss at Striation?
Anyway, I took most of today spending time with my new Darmanitan, getting to know it and getting it to trust me. I spent time with all my pokemon today, of course, but given how I took Darmanitan from its original trainer, i figured it'd have even more to adjust to than the others, who aside from Samurai, I caught in the wild.
I started flipping through the pages of my Academy Pokedex, particularly at the pages on Drillbur, Excadrill, Darumaka, and Darmanitan, trying to come up with names for the two. Nothing was popping up in my head, though.
Honestly, I wanted to report to Sub about last night. But I had no idea if he was even in HQ today.

Sub was sitting up in his office, at his desk with a pile of paperwork in front of him, his backpack at his side, and his hands on his head as he complained and moaned about a headache. "Geh...why won't this headache go away!?" He shouted in protest.

As I was putting away my Pokedex and relaxing in the main area, I heard something off in the distance. Something familiar... I recalled all of the pokemon that were out (except Samurai... fraidy otter) and went to investigate.
What I found was Sub, in his office, in front of a pile of papers. Hello, opportunity. "Excuse me. Sub? Got a minute?
My subconscious then pieced together what I heard. Him, groaning about a headache. "Or is this a bad time?"

Dan raced down the stepped with a Budew that was screaming its head off. Dashing out the front doors, he planted the pokemon in the ground outside. And by plant, he stuck her feet into the ground and watched as Azalea began absorbing the sunlight with her two vines. With a sigh, the trainer sat down and watched the plant feed. "Man, raising Talon was never this difficult. Maybe it's a grass type thing?" he wondered while waiting for Azalea to finish.

I stepped into the room, then immediately looked toward the exit. Was that a screaming pokemon?
"I tried to contact you via SNAG yesterday. I got a tip from a friend that the Pyre Cult was at the Lighthouse in Olivine City yesterday. I ended up going up there to stop them, and thanks to a bunch of people who got my message, I was able to do just that."
"Some guy named "Lord Maxie" or "Father Maxie" or whatever, was on the top floor. He said he wanted the lighthouse off because there was a shipment of injured pokemon on its way to the town by way of cargo ship, and that he was attacking injured pokemon as a way to get to some PETW guys or... whatever that was. We were able to get the lighthouse running before any ships crashed, but... well, I figured you should know about all this."
