Sighing, Rave nodded and looked at the demon. "We need to go back to Eri. Supposedly, Kalore has less than a week before he is permanently mute. As much as I dislike Eri, he's got the same abilities as Lucien. Zaine has made some progress, but Kalore's right. He won't get it done within this time frame." He sighed and Kalore felt himself sink lower into the chair.

Rave continued, "This time we're just not letting Eri get Kal. We go in, get Eri to fix it, though there will be a cost, but we walk out. Kalore and I can't attack him, no matter how much we want to." And both of them really wanted to. "But you can. You're not elvish or involved in the contract. Hopefully there won't be a need for you, but it's a precaution." Kalore nodded, but still wouldn't look up.

Monty was grateful that he had his hands occupied otherwise, he would have jumped someone and popped their head off at the sudden rage he was feeling. In his mind, if this was going to happen then way bother in doing the rescue mission from yesterday? It seemed like a pointless task now that Kalore was going to go back. Though if he got to kill Eri that would be a pretty good reward for him. Then again he was wondering if there was anyone else he could kill as reward for all the trouble he was being put through.

As the demon finished washing the dishes, he finally turned around to look at Rave, ignoring Kalore completely as if he never existed in the kitchen because if he did look at the elf then he might possibly give away his thoughts on the matter. Crossing his arms, he considered what Rave asked. "I will go along but just know that this is the final time that I help you out without payment. Next time, I will ask for a heavy price and you had better make sure it's worth it." He said. Gambler was eating her food very slowly. Monty looked at the door. "I suggest we leave now, I have other things to do." He said with his usual aloofness.

He didn't know what did it, but Kalore finally just shook his head, bit his lip, and stood up. Mouthing out, "Restroom", he left the room and just walked quickly someplace else other than that kitchen. Rave's hair covered his eyes as he looked down, biting his tongue. He wasn't going to say anything. It wasn't his place. Monty wasn't his employee. If Gambler wanted to do something about it, she would.

But Rave couldn't stop the protective rage that came over him. Something happened, and it concerned Kalore and Monty. Whatever it was, it was hitting his friend hard. And Rave didn't like that. He really didn't like not knowing what the hell happened.

If one could taste the tension it would taste acidic and vile. That's what it tasted like at the moment. Gambler felt it and could taste it and it wasn't something she was used to. It was one thing to have something hostile between her and the demon but it was another to sense it between the demon and Kalore. Whatever it was she was seriously going to take it out of his skin for it. She didn't care what anyone thought of her, she felt like if she couldn't get it out of the demon diplomatically then she would play dirty to get it out of him. Of course it had to come after this situation was settled.

"When you get back Monty, I'm going to talk to you personally." She said in his language. Monty looked at the corner of his eye at her. "I look forward to it, Gambler. Just be sure to bring everything you have." He said normally and walked out of the kitchen to wait for the elves. Gambler nodded and looked at Rave. "Just come back soon and safely." She said to him because all her words left her.

Nodding stiffly, Rave's eyes finally were visible. They were dark, and terrifying, showing that he was definitely not pleased with what was done just then. "We'll be back quickly." Standing up, he muttered, "I'm checking on Kalore." Without another word, Rave followed Kalore. He knocked on one of the bedroom doors, knowing that Kalore wouldn't hide in a bathroom. "We need to leave soon, Kal. You've got ten minutes, and then we need to go." He didn't need to see to know that Kalore nodded.

Gambler sighed softly and looked at her plate. She lost her appetite after looking at Rave's eyes. This wasn't good at all. Perhaps she should reconsider and go instead of Monty but they might not want that. Getting up she went to wash her dishes.

Monty walked quickly into his shed to get two guns and walked back out to stand, waiting for the elves to come out. It really bothered him that Kalore wanted to go back, even if it was to bring his voice back. Why did he have to go and get him if this was going to happen anyways? Why did it have to be Eri? That bothered him to no end. He couldn't stand that elf even if he didn't know him well enough still, if he was like Lech then he was hated with a passion. Shaking his head, he tried to let those thoughts go because he needed his mind cleared if he was going to do any killing. Hopefully he was able to kill Eri.

A few minutes later, Kalore and Rave walked out; Rave back to his normal calm and composed self while Kalore was once again emotionless. Kalore walked out without looking at anyone while Rave sighed and kissed Gambler's cheek. "We'll be back soon, okay?" Kalore was outside, leaning against the side of the house as he looked at the ground, waiting. He didn't want to go, but who wanted to be mute their whole life? Kalore just hoped that things went well...

Gambler nodded and finished washing the dishes, putting them away. "Becareful, all of you." Yeah, she wanted everyone to becareful and she was going to pray that Kalore got his voice back soon.

Monty didn't look at Kalore. How could he? He was pissed that the elf was leaving again to that fool Eri. Yeah he wasn't the greatest guy either but damned it he wasn't that kind of a man. Hell, he didn't think that Eri was a man at all, just some selfish little brat who treats everyone and everything like a toy. Shaking his head he straighted himself up and looked arrogant and unapproachable, highly scary all in one. The perfect image of a demon.

When Rave got outside, he had to grit his teeth to keep from snapping. Kalore never had his head down. Never. I swear if things don't change soon, I'm finding out what that demon did and I swear I'll kill him... He wasn't normally a violent person, but Rave could snap. And when he did, even a demon would have to be careful. "Let's go. When we get there, Monty, stay hidden. I don't want Eri to know you're there." Kalore nodded and followed Rave as the darker haired elf walked in the way of Harl. Monty was basically ignored seeing as Rave didn't want to go off on him while on the way there and Kalore just couldn't look at him.

Monty didn't nod his head or confirm that he heard what Rave said. Luckily for the elves he had a pretty awesome trick where he can walk invisible to any eye. As he followed the elves he took on to being invisible. It was a trick all demons and angels had if they were either watching over or guarding someone from angels or were sprouting evil into the ears of unsuspecting victims from demons. He was a walking evil that was invisible all the more better to keep away from the elves.

They continued to walk for a little while as Rave looked behind them. Monty wasn't seen, but he was heard. "Nice trick, but walk a little lighter please..." He knew that Monty wouldn't just leave them, so it wouldn't be bad to tell him to stay more silent. They were messing with elves, and a certain trained elf that was insanely powerful. Kalore continued to walk quickly, leading them to the club. There was no line, but he knew that all the workers would be there for a while.

Monty walked lighter and more quieter, after rolling his eyes. There was a big part of him that didn't like taking orders from anyone he wasn't used to. It was one thing to follow Gambler because they had history but to follow someone else? It was odd. Then again he was just a odd demon who was complicated and didn't make sense. What a great guy he was, huh?

Rave knew that Monty probably didn't like taking orders from him, but after seeing that he was the one that had Kalore like this, or at least had a hand in it, the elf didn't care. Monty was there to serve as back up, to be used as needed. Other than that, Rave didn't care at all about the demon. Kalore looked back and sighed. "Here." Nodding, Rave glanced at where Monty was, "I'll just tell you when. Other than that... Things should go smooth..." And the two walked into the almost abandoned club.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 23, 2010 6:53 pm

Monty stopped next to the wall of the club and stood outside, invisible and wanting to just get this over with. He hoped that everything went smooth so that he could just disappear and do his own thing but that was unlikely since Eri seemed the kind who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. Crossing his arms, he concentrated for any sign that was off while those two elves were in the club. If there was, then he would literally set the place on fire with Eri in it.

Eri was there waiting. When he saw Kalore, he grinned, going to him to hold him close, but was stopped by Rave. "Don't. You. Dare." No matter how arrogant the club owner was, he knew who to not mess with. There was a reason why he wasn't scared of Monty, and that reason was Rave. "Um... Of course... I take it you're here to get his voice back?"

Rave nodded, "Yes." Eri grinned, "Then... What's the problem?" "I know about the conract, but I would like to make a deal..." The other elf frowned, "What? What do you mean?" Rave smirked, "He only is here one week at most, breaks for when Gambler needs him, seeing as we both work for her." Eri looked like he was about to object, but a look from Rave shut him up.

"Fix his voice, tonight. If it takes longer, fine. But wasted time will not be tolerated, understood?" Eri was no fool, so he knew that Rave wouldn't attack him unless Eri attacked the man first. But he also knew that he probably had someone that could attack him. "Fine... But he works for me on my call as well."

Rave looked at Kalore, "Thoughts?" The blonde sighed and then looked around for a notebook. His old lover noticed the look and got him a notepad. Kalore nodded and wrote, "I'll work here, but Gambler does take priority. She's my paying boss, and her work is more important... One week here, two weeks there." Rave nodded, "Sound good... Eri?"

The man bit his lip, not liking this. He didn't like this at all. "Kalore is here, for eight years. He is mine, for eight years. I want him here for a year." "No." "Yes, Rave. I saved his a**, I want my damn payment for it." Kalore twitched, not liking the reminder of why he was here in the first place. Rave sighed, "Three months at most." "Six." "I'm not going any higher." The two glared for a bit, but neither one was going to budge. Kalore sighed and wrote, "Three months here... Nine at Gambler's... Repeat... I'll work over time to put it back to the original three years."

Rave and Eri looked at this plan, and the club owner glared. "Hell no. I want you here more." He grinned, "Stay with me fully for those three months, then fine..." Rave didn't like this at all, and Kalore didn't either. Both of them knew that if Kalore lived with Eri at all, let alone three months, then the blonde elf would be in some serious trouble. No one spoke for a while, but Kalore nodded stiffly, "Fine."

His friend didn't like it, but that would make it to where Kalore was only working there for a little bit at a time, but it would take about twelve years to fully do this. But, it still only added to three years, which was much better than the original, or added, eight years. "Fine... He stays with Gambler until Mid-Year," A holiday of the elves, "And then we begin then." Kalore agreed, as did Eri. A new contract was made and the elves departed. Thankfully nothing went wrong and the elves were able to walk out.

Nothing was said as Rave and Kalore just moved, walking back to Joker's place. They would explain everything then.
